hawaii spring break vlog: shark diving, hikes, & new friends

[Music] good morning guys guess where we are we're in Hawaii right now well I've been up since 1:00 a.m. Hawaii time because I am a sucker for waking up early so I'm still on East Coast time so I forced Austin to wake up with me and go watch the sunrise at Lanai and then after we're going to hike on up so we're starting this trip off with a bang oh are you looking at houses Austin's just looking to buy and I'm just so excited to be here I don't know how good the sun rise is going to be because I do see some clouds on the horizon but I'm hoping for the best and I want to swim look how beautiful this view is don't know where the sun's coming up yet though so I'm excited to see it pass and found himself a hole wow honestly this is gorgeous it's kind of blowing my mind because we still have like 15 minutes till the sun comes up see how freaking light this is this like daylight the sky is blue sun's out the sun's not out we're just in our little hole I got in and it pretty cold but it's so pretty this is got to be the prettiest Sunrise I've ever seen the water Clarity is so crazy you can just see the whole roof from above the water this is the most beautiful thing and honestly from all around we finished our swim and now we're headed to the hiking portion of our morning I did find this plaria flower on the floor and besides the fact that they're so beautiful it's my favorite flower ever because when we lived here we were at the Sunrise Shack and the first ever Sunrise Shack where we work cuz now there's a couple is on a plumaria farm so they just make me so happy [Music] look guys the truth is I grew up in Florida and I'm not a hiker water is so flat that that's my excuse but it's rough I always forget how much I hate it it probably has something to do with the fact that I wear these shoes every single time I hike here the views are already so [Music] pretty it up to the top it's honestly I'm going to say this the entire Vlog it's freaking cold here it's windy and it is cold and I was not prepared for this but let me show you the video absolutely incredible and we keep seeing whales popping up all over here all the way around it's just so gorgeous I love this hike because it's just so pretty but it's also like one of the easiest hikes ever all right goodbye beautiful view on to the next adventure we have [Music] we didn't really ever eat any of the food the only thing I like was like a special smoothie that I can cocked myself for Nostalgia purposes we're going to go Austin was known for his papaya BS and his artistic Vision yeah it was tell him more he was also for the pigs what about Jack oh Jack Freestone the surfer would come to the sunra shack a lot um and he got The pable Once from Austin and ever since then he got the pap bable every single time so much that we called him papay bable jack he asked for the guy who makes the papaya B okay I really I think you put that into the story no I didn't there she is we made it back and the smell just hits you this is a Pia Farm I was talking about and our pet pigs aren't here but our pet chickens are there's also a a new cat friend we didn't have a cat friend did we the chicken so would always have babies and the chickens had names and so the mom Coco would always get pregnant and have new babies and then the babies would just be like running around it was such a fun place to work how does it feel to be back feels good I miss it it was a really really fun place to work and then this is just where we made all our friends so I think that's why it's like the most special place we haven't eaten all day long so now we are at Seven Brothers which is probably one of my favorite places here we go here like every single day when we're here guys look at my new best friend here's some hamburger oh that's my leg yum you're dirty my name to P Bera and we are now best PR there you go oh you missed some here you go okay you got to take it we didn't make it far down the road before we saw that the horses are out this is a little ranch on the side of the road that everybody stops for as you can see and the horses will come to be fed hey horsey pry cutie they're so cute you got here I got you it's another beautiful day in Hawaii and today we're starting the day off with another hike even though I don't like hikes this is my favorite hike ever I can already tell it's going to be extremely windy up there cuz it's windy down here um but we just parked over there this is the crouching line hike and it's all uphill but it's like super super short which is why I love it but you have amazing bees at the top I'm hoping it won't be too muddy and we'll stay clean I have on my white shoes today so wish me luck why was was this one so hard last time we were here asked was was it it was super what we were slipping around everywhere last time and I wore my free people cute runsie somehow I made it out without a single Speck of dirt on it today I have this cute one on from Target I'm already tired they really need to start making like escalators after only 10 minutes of hiking we made it to the top this is one of my favorite views and then like the main view is over here it's so pretty I can never get over it down there is a little Pond and you can just see everything and then the coast all along that way we used to live all the way down over there one of my favorite views because looking down you can just see everything in the water it's so pretty next step of our plan is to see our friend that we haven't seen in 3 years she worked with us at the Sunrise Shack do you want to introduce her what's her name kiry I somehow have two friends named kiry and I don't have a lot of friends but this is Kirby with an i and she's just the best person ever so we're walking over to her little house now Kirby this is my best friend Kirby wait I have to say the story though she is the reason that my name is Jewels oh no yes that's not true I literally so I was working at the Sunrise shock and I was like nobody's ever given me like a cool nickname like I have stupid nicknames like Juju cuz my name's Julia I was like I want to be called Jules and you call me Jewels the second I told her that noop yeah if someone says what they prefer to be like if they introduce themselves to something you got to be respectful and you know use their chosen name so now that's why we're jewels and kiry is the best person ever a I love you love you I left you guys hanging yesterday cuz after we hung out with our friend we went to Pipeline and then to Beach and swam and then went to like 5 million places to try to get Shave Ice we should have just stuck with the way we usually go but it's a new day so we're going to forget that we missed all that and today we're going swimming at Electric Beach one of my favorite places ever to swim so I'm excited to take you guys along with me as always T is freaking cold and I need like a 5 mm but unfortunately all I have is my springsuit [Music] ignore the crazy hair guys that was so much fun we are back home now but you guys have already seen it but we saw freaking you you I'm so sad because when it came up I just like wasn't paying attention Austin had to yell at me and so I was like trying to turn the GoPro on and it was just like right here just like staring me in the eye it was so cool I love them cuz they just have like big puppy dog eyes but guys I'm so upset we got out of the water and then all the dolphins were there but they didn't really come in close so I'm just going to pretend like we wouldn't have seen him anyways to make myself feel better now we're back home for a little bit going to eat up Austin has a meeting we spent forever trying to get sha yesterday so today we just skipped all the hassle and came to old time haliva it's the place we went on our first ever trip to Hawaii and it was so good so we're back here part of the adventure has been I haven't been able to find blue raspberry so I ordered raspberry hoping that maybe they surprise me and it will deep blue instead it's raspberry and mango still very good I put some of my shave ice up here so the lizard could have some and he loves it back when we worked at the Sunrise Shack we'd have tons of these lizards that would sit there and eat the honey so I knew they' like sweet stuff just stopped and saw our friend and then kept driving and we stopped at the beach that causes all the traffic in the NorthShore it's called Turtle traffic the reason it's called that is because this beach has a bunch of sleeping Turtles all the time they's taking their little naps look at how many there are they're so cute but now coming over to my favorite restaurant ever so and salsa look how cute it is Chang it up a lot flooding ruined it around the time that we were here but it's so cute now this is always the popular spot to go and it would be like hours wait but it was just so fun because they'd have a lot of music and everyone would be hanging out we got our burritos I have the chicken one Austin change it up for the steak it's super good however since we've lived here they gotten so much spice here I don't know what they changed but happy to be here and it's all on The Vibes this trip is flying by because it's now what Thursday we got here on Sunday and I have a fun day planned it's kind of later in the day now but Austin's mom got surgery today so that's why we're here he's staying back helping her and I made some of my own plans which as you guys know it's very unusual for me to go out but I'm so excited because today I am hanging out with Heather AKA HB Goodie and I would say she's like my number one influencer for years like my top person that I've looked up to bought her presets copied her photos got me into photography just loved her life in Hawaii like she is the mold um and now we have been friends for a little bit of time now over social media she's like the sweetest person ever and we are officially meeting today so I'm so excited secret not I actually already met her um I saw her at the beach when I used to live here and I was not going to say hello I was going to let her do her thing with her kid but I had a very outgoing roommate who was like I don't care I'm going to go tell her that you love her and I was like please do not do not do that but she did it anyways so we have met but this is like our real first time meeting she doesn't remember that that is so embarrassing but I feel like it's fun to the whole story now somehow I am on social media and it is just crazy how it's all evolved and adapted over the years and I'm just so excited because today we are paddling to China man's hat and we're going to paddle over there hike to the top it has the prettiest view of the kooa mountain range and I used to always love coming here so I haven't been here in a few years and I'm really excited to go again I made it to Heather we have already kayaked all the way to the island there was no time to Vlog that there was it was full work getting here but guys look what's here right now a little seal it's just a teeny one it's so cute I wonder if it's Mom is somewhere we'll find her hopefully not so confusing wow this is so [Music] pretty we made it to the top and look how beautiful it took us a bit of time but we're here struggle yeah but the wind feels so good and the blues of the water let me show you guys look at all that there's like a million colors out there and then the best view that is a kooa mountain range it's so pretty we're climbing a little bit higher but I love it here this is my favorite view on the hike it's on the way up and obviously down but it has the cute little palm trees in the mountain so pretty okay we came to this little secret Beach you can see the mountain out way and look where we're swimming over here there's a little tide pool area look how gorgeous that is and that's the place we've been swimming and there's the Hat we've made our way back but the baby's still sleeping we've kind of annoyed it a little bit with talking he's just trying to get comfy so cute back in the car headed to another adventure today it was so much fun with Heather like I feel like I didn't wrap that up but I feel like I could have talked to her for forever and ever and ever and I'm so new in this like whole social media world that it was just refreshing to have someone to just like chat and kind of like brush ideas on and stuff like that she's just the sweetest person ever and I love her but today we are headed to meet another new friend her name is Bri she is a shark diver at one ocean so I asked her to hang out and she's like I can't I'm working but you can come come I'm like are you kidding of course I'm going to come like I would never ever ever say no to shark diving so we are headed there now and then even after that I'm hanging out with another friend so man I'm a changed person this year don't know what it is but I'm ready to go with the friend thing oh yeah yeah yeah of course when we're out here with the model today want to be super respectful to these guys in blind culture we believe in something called amak which like a spiritual reincarnation in a different being including sharks so I'm going to check these guys are family or friends out here this morning today being super respectful to these [Music] guys guys that was so much fun number one Bri who is the photographer on the boat is the nicest person in the world and I'm so grateful that she invited me and let me come out with her because they were just like so kind to me and then number two obviously the Sharks it just never gets old it never ever gets old seeing sharks being around sharks they're so beautiful they're so peaceful it is just the best experience ever after the very first time I ever swam with sharks which was like years and years and years ago I just like can never get enough of it but now while I wait for Mason who I'm going to be seeing later she just also got off of her own shark diving tour and she has something else going on I am going to set at Sunset Beach and watch the Surfers and the waves and have a nice beautiful beach day alone crossing the road as you guys know though I love a good solo Beach day so this will be fun here's my beach setup at the beautiful Sunset Beach it is very very hot and I'm just taking a cute little nap it's obviously always a very crowded Beach cuz it's very popular for people to come to look how gorgeous it is today stunning from all angles whenever Austin would be working at the Sunrise track but I wasn't working that day I would just come and I would lay and I would hang out here and it would be the best time so that's kind of what I'm trying to relive today just like a solo Beach day at Sunset Beach like I used to do met up with Mason look how pretty this is we're at the beach gorgeous out we're watching the sunset it's not it's not the best yeah Hawaii is way colder than Florida this is also my Florida friend but look how beautiful that is this is so much fun we've been talking for hours [Music] now we are back at Seven Brothers for how often have we been here just three times that's kind of low I feel like for this trip but so good we just get the kids meal here and it's am amazing the fries are my favorite part they I they look like this you can't taste them but they're really good and we're over here because Heather who owns Sun swim did a little popup right over here with my other friend Mason who own salty Sage makes these necklaces that I'm wearing it was so cute so I've been hanging out over there and now I'm fueling myself is their cute little popup over here this is Mason's Glory from we are back having another Beach day on the NorthShore and it is so beautiful it's a bit more cloudy today but the Sun keeps coming out and look how beautiful it is we keep seeing whales jumping out there and then the waves are huge that's not even a good one but people are surfing just all along here down there if you can see all those many many many people that's where pipeline is but luckily it's pretty lowkey over here some people have been like P in in but before that we were like one of only two people out here and it's just so nice we've been out here for a couple hours just hanging out but now I think we're going to go get in the water a little [Music] bit look at the golden playing with a palm tree hardly would love to play with that dog needs to come to Hawaii it's so cute we are Curr currently at a place called pu point which is like a beginner surf spot we go here all the time and we're not surfing today cuz we didn't plan accordingly we should be surfing today but we're just hanging out there's so much traffic since today Sunday headed over it's called Turtle traffic headed over by where the turtles are so we just decided to stop up here over in haliva and it's been fun to watch it's so hot though so bright out I'm literally covered in sand because I don't ever use a towel and honestly my favorite part is just watching the turtles in the surf the turtles are all over here just popping up so think I'm going to get in and swim with them if you see like the little fin popping up over there that's all them just hanging out it is way too murky and this water right here to even see him by swimming so I'm moving up on that but we're just chilling with some CHS there's a bunch all around oh there's one we've now moved over to one of my favorite beaches ever it's the one known for having where is it the rock over there that you can jump off and I slightly hoping it would be calm enough but usually in the winter not very likely but there is this cute little pool over here and then the waves have been gigantic I will definitely be showing you when the next set comes comes in it's crazy I just found this cute little shell when I walked to the tide pools one thing about Hawaii is that I just love their sand it's like really really thick rains that sounds so stupid but it's like one of my favorite things and obviously it's like a golden pretty [Music] color and it's finally Sunset I will say Florida sunsets are in fact better but this is beautiful waves are [Music] beautiful guys I'm so sad cuz we're leaving tomorrow I've never showed you the house um here's a little overview my in-law's cute place I'm just hanging out on the couch and I'm so sad because I was supposed to go out on a boat today and basically the boat goes out the west side where all the animals are and you can see dolphins whales during this time so much and you can kind of like swim with whatever they find and it's one my favorite things because it's super econscious they're so friendly to the animals they don't like force the animals to interact with you they wait for them to accept you it's just the best time but the weather is not looking well so pretty sure it's like 100% cancelled so instead we're going to go do a waterfall hike which just as fun so we're getting ready for that and about to head out we've started the hike so this is the Lulu I say mahoo but Lulu Maho waterfall hike and it's so nice because look how flat this is there's like little to no elevation on this hike so it's super easy to do and it's just like a little bit of a walk to get to it it's a little bit chilly and it's raining which is the perfect day to do a waterfall hike because doesn't need to be sunny for this it will feel cold though getting in the water but I will be doing it and we're getting kind of a late start because again I thought I was going to go on a tour so I'm a little bit bummed because there's more people than I would like to be on this hike already this is where it comes in handy wearing the shoes that we wear cuz around this area I can get so muddy and now I'm not ruining any tennis shoes because I can just dip these in the water and they're brand new I'm sweating we went the wrong way for a little bit but unfortunately instead of hearing that I send a waterfall I here then I send a people talking which means we're about to be there last time we were here we had it all to ourselves for like an hour and it was so nice it'll still be fun sweatshirt bad idea I was called it first but I have nothing under it so now I feel like I don't want to show up to the waterfall and just the bikini so I've been keeping it on if you're ever confused on where to go there's these markers on most of the hikes and so you just need to follow them along if you stop seeing them you're probably gone the wrong way this just the waterfall it's so pretty and then it has a little pool in front of it this rock is the rock I usually take my photos on and then you have the waterfall right behind you it's is so cold but we have to do a cold one so we're getting it is so cold it's like so Beau I'm definitely not staying in too long though there's so many Tad pools in here though let me show you guys okay that little thing on the Rock there that's a tadpool and there's so many around but obviously the glare is super bad there's also a bunch of little fishes like on that rock you can see them swimming I don't know why I'm nervous cuz I already got in the water but man I'm cold and of course I packed my towel dress on my hike because it's not just for the ocean you need a towel dress everywhere and now I'm so warm and Co it also cleared out really well there's just two other people here besides that got the waterfall all to herself it's so nice and peaceful this beach club pretty has really made it through every single Adventure somehow unscathed I'm really don't know how it's not completely ruined by this point cuz I literally worn it on every single thing I don't think this is the way we came which this hike is so confusing cuz obviously with every hike there's a lot of different ways you can go and I swear every single time we leave here we get lost not coming up not but leaving oh we get lost coming out too oh barely okay well this is definitely not the way we came we got to find a pink flag it's our last night in Hawaii so of course we came to surfing salsa and Austin just dumped a whole thing of cheese that he brought from home in his cooler they skimp you on the cheese here so embarrassing I had to plan a head even worse someone that delivered our food is at works at my favorite place ever watch my videos so now I'm like Austin you can't let her see that she might be watching this right now you can't let her see it anyways so freaking good let's hear your um your favorite part of the trip since this is our last night probably sunset at y may you like that the breeze was nice my favorite part was meeting got some chips we got chips way but other way don't embarrass me not paying $11 for chips and salsa how is it so good here Daddy like no guys it's our last day in Hawaii we're leaving tonight I'm so sad it's actually our first day as well that we haven't been over to the NorthShore you can see behind we're in town we're at Alamo Moana beach park that's what it's called and it's really pretty it's like a smaller Beach very I don't want to even say crowded cuz it's just huge so people are spaced out but it's nothing like Northshore but the water is really pretty let me show you guys another beautiful day we've gotten like the best weather here like it it's obviously windy cuz it's it's the winter but it's been so pretty but look at this water the sun just went away but you can just see like how clear all that is and then people are surfing way way way far out there and you can see like all the planes taking off don't want to leave this view it's so pretty look how fun that is this people are feeding the birds there's so many of them we just went to Target to pick up some more snacks for trip we got some popcorn that's Austin's pick would you like to say anything about your popcorn you told me to pick it because you love popcorn I it was a recommendation it better be good I've never had it I got salt and vinegar chips and then somebody on the plane ride had these I freaking love them the minis are so much better than anything else Austin disagrees and I just decided that I need them on my plane ride oh I'm feeling so hungry though I could probably eat anything and I don't want to leave and I want to go back to the beach I think today we're going to drive around um with Austin's parents cuz Austin's dad has off work today and then Austin's mom obviously had surgery so she's not extremely mobile but we're going to spend the last little day with them and we don't leave until like 8:00 or something tonight so going to be a very very long night I always forget to get downloads but I feel like on the plane right here since it was so long I had to have watched everything that I wanted to watch so now I got to figure out something to watch on the plane right back I get so stressed about flights cuz all I can think about is just like I can't move move or do anything for that long and it's always fine but beforehand I'm just like uh I don't I don't want to do that that is the view around here just driving around oh wait that's a better view look how pretty that is look how pretty that is yeah you we are packing up I'm so sad we got the DU all packed up clean up the room um when we hang out with Austin's parents I didn't record any of it but we kind of just drove around went over by the lighthouse saw some pretty views got some food and kind of had like a relaxing last day because now we will be flying all night long unfortunately but it was such a good trip so much fun it's never ever ever long enough but I'm really really excited to go see my dog so it's a little Bittersweet I'm also excited to just kind of like get back to work and get back to doing things so it was such a fun trip thank you guys all so much for coming along with me on all the adventures and
