I get what they were going for here but the flying scenes look really unnatural at times which was pretty distracting.
so this is how sherlock survived that fall
The scenery is beautiful but even with the rope and harness edited out it still looks like he's just hanging there. It's a shame because I see the metaphor that they're going for, and everything else is gorgeous and adds to the song. They should have cut out some of the closer shots of his awkward gliding.
i'm bald
Okay but for real this is really good. Not something I would expect from a member of 1D.
This was so odd tbh, yes it was gorgeous but like, what was the point? Why is the being dragged around from a helicopter for 5 min? It was just like watching someone have fun with a helicopter, doing the walk on water thing, pretending to fly, like, it would be a great event for a bachelor party, having the groom-to-be being flown around like that, and I'm sure Harry had fun, but it was completely random to me. maybe I just don't posses the level of abstraction to comprehend this piece of art, idk
Ok, who honestly thought those flying scenes looked good enough for a song about a mother dying after giving birth? He looks like he was in a high school's production of Peter Pan.
So the flying was always going to be hit or miss, but I do love how he has to acclimatise himself to it. Something about that is really striking. What if one day you had this new ability that gave you the power to see the world differently? I think that's what the video might be saying, and sort of complements the song theme as well. "We've got to get away" "Breaking through the atmosphere" - what if those metaphors became literal for you? What then?
Some beautiful shots throughout, and the emotion build up is really moving. I think he was trying to capture a transformative, supernatural experience.
It's a beautiful video. A beautiful man, in a gorgeous outfit flying around a stunning country.
Don't dig this video at all. Still enamoured with the song though.
