wants to start over with a whole new cast in addition to the rumored remake of the Harry Potter movies there have been plans to turn the 2016 West End play Harry Potter and the cursed child into a movie the story is about what happens to Albus and Scorpius Malfoy the sons of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy Warner Brothers owns the rights to the cursed child as a stage play so it's very likely called glorified fanfiction so Harry Potter and the cursed child won't solve wbds problems with Harry Potter Warner Brothers Discovery needs to keep going with the Harry Potter franchise which is one of its most popular and long-running properties also Harry Potter has very loyal fans who are willing to pay top dollar for merchandise and trips to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Harry Potter is still a well-known brand so wbd needs needs to move forward with new film projects so that money keeps coming in like hogwart's letters into the dursley's living room even plot that can be used for more than one movie but Fantastic Beasts did not give them what they were looking for on the other hand the World of Harry Potter is very deep and full of stories that could lead to many SE equal and spin-offs goblins centur and werewolves could each have their own project and the Harry Potter franchise could even Branch out into HBO Max shows Harry Potter still has a lot of untapped potential now that the main movie series is over and Fantastic Beasts has run out of steam the more important question is how to best use that potential even though a movie version of Harry Potter and the cursed child would continue the familiar story and feature many of the series classic characters it would not fix Warner Brothers discoveries Harry Potter franchise based on what David zasa said and how fantastic Beast was handled it seems like wbd wants more than just a single movie and is looking for another ongoing Harry Potter series Harry Potter and the cursed child is a story that stands on its own to turn it into a full series new stories would have to be added to the existing play even though a movie series about the children of Harry Potter's main characters could work the mixed reviews of the original play and the fact that there isn't much room for sequels don't give much hope that it would do much better than Fantastic Beasts if Warner Brothers Discovery doesn't want to leave its Potter property alone the failure of the Fantastic Beast movies suggests that a brand new idea based on Harry Potter's Rich mythology would work better than another old story that doesn't work well on the big screen because of this Harry Potter and the cursed child is not the answer as we wait for the adaptation you can enjoy the new Harry Potter game Hogwarts Legacy in in the main story of Hogwarts Legacy players take on the role of a young witch or wizard in the middle of a goblin Rebellion as they explore the titular School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the areas around it they will learn about an old kind of magic that has been thought to have been lost to the Wizarding World for a long time as they go to classes do their homework and learn powerful new spells that can help them on their Journey they will also meet a large number of interesting original characters the game story is told through 13 main story quests and each of those quests is made up of a number of smaller side quests and missions a lot of the goals players will have to achieve are pretty simple and shouldn't require too much thought or work most people agree that Hogwarts Legacy is the best Harry Potter game ever made and the most impressive thing to come out of the franchise since the second part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows came out more than a decade ago with
