Harry Potter scenes that should NOT have been cut - Deleted Scenes

while we have nearly 20 hours of time in The Wizarding World throughout the series somehow it still doesn't seem like it's long enough I've been saying it time and time again but there needs to be Harry Potter extended editions I've made a whole video talking about what's happening with that and still no word from Warden Brothers seems strange they wouldn't cash in on Harry Potter one last time and honestly it's kind of dumb it's what the fans want and they're willing to pay for it that being said these deleted scenes that would eventually make up those extended editions are not all great some need to remain deleted and just bonus content on those DVDs and Blu-rays I'm not asking for an extended edition that features every moment that was shot for Harry Potter but rather the ones that help amplify the story in the characters these scenes that were deleted were deemed not necessary and really not needed for the overall Story I mean yes you can cut them from the overall story with little repercussion that's what we got with the theatrical releases but I believe that these clips that ended up on that Cutting Room floor were a necessity for the characters so here are some of the deleted scenes that should not have been cut and some of the first that should be included in those extended editions if they ever see the light of day now there are some issues when it comes to Quality with these clips and unfortunately the highest quality isn't always available online and some of these scenes are extremely hard to find some not at all but nonetheless here's a list of the scenes that should be included in extended edition and honestly in my opinion shouldn't have been cut at all this one is a massive one to the best of my knowledge it isn't on any of the DVDs or Blu-Rays it's not in the deleted scenes or any of the features on any of those disks rather we see it in behind the scenes video it's just a shot a simple shot but it changes so much and it would change the ending for Draco Malfoy and the way we perceive that character after the series now it's not really clear in the shot exactly what happened so let me break it down for you in Deathly Hallows part two right after Harry dies he's brought to the Courtyard in Hagrid's arms Neville does a speech and then Harry wakes up and gets to his feet Voldemort realizes and we see this shot in the normal movie but it actually looked a little bit different when they originally filmed it they must have shot it in both ways because here we see Draco running across camera and actually throwing a wand to Harry now before you go up in arms that this is different than the books these are adaptations and they make changes throughout the series and honestly I think this would have been a great one draco's story just kind of ends after the rumor requirement and Draco switching sides at the end it would have told you his true Alliance it would have seen the character grow it would have completed his Arc rather than him just fleeing the scene with his family like we see in the normal cut of the film it's a real opportunity missed that being said for every deleted scene like this that I think is great there's ones like these yeah so it's not all magic but there are scenes that really stand out like this one or two I should say and Deathly Hallows part one before Harry leaves four Private Drive he shares a moment with two characters these characters have been extremely important throughout the series even though we generally don't spend that much time with them and we don't normally see them on screen for more than the first scene you know the scene I'm going to talk about everyone's seen the wonderful interaction between Dudley and Harry [Music] I don't think you're a waste of space yes of course it's a great scene that should have been included in the first cut but this scene this scene with petunia changes the way I view her character I have lived in this house for 20 years and now in a single night I'm expected to leave they'll torture you they think for a moment you know where I'm going they'll stop at nothing do you think I don't know what they're capable of you didn't just lose a mother that night in godric's holler you know Mr sister that brings so much more Dimension it gives us a glimpse into our thinking petunia goes from a character who's just always hated Harry to a character who's flawed and broken we take a little bit of the blame off her shoulders and then I actually watched the series a little bit differently when I see her on screen I mean it doesn't make sense why you would cut these scenes yeah sure they do add a little bit of run time I get it but adding a literal minute to the film for these important moments they seem criminal to cut like little shots and little interactions where we get to spend time with characters who will eventually die it would actually make us feel that death a little bit more toxin lupine's amazing Reach Out shot is one of my favorite from the original cut and I appreciate how it sets up their dead bodies eventually touching hands but don't tell me we don't need this scene as well you shouldn't have it's Teddy I need you you'll Sleep Till Dawn and snore like his father it's you that needs me tonight we are reminded of their son we see them Embrace we appreciate that they're fighting together we get more of their story Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is 2 hours and 10 minutes long but they had time for these terrible shots that are laughable in my opinion they need to leave this time for those characters it's small and it's pretty quiet but these moments are the times when characters shine through in the quiet these scenes aren't flashy that's probably why they ended up on The Cutting Room floor but I love them like it definitely Hollows when there's that simple interaction between Ron and Hermione skipping rocks all right getting back a bit get quite low flip the wrist oh oh you already get it so what can I like [Music] thank you These Quiet Moments with Ron Hermione are some of my favorite in the series similar to that piano scene so I'm back then we just skipped some rocks together it shows us that the war they're currently fighting isn't all-encompassing there are still moments of beauty among the pain Ron Hermione are just two people and two people finding love together and this scene is just so simple and beautiful [Music] for the rest that's it my favorite thing about the Harry Potter series is the characters and these scenes provide those character moments like how in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry questions if he's actually the person opening the chamber itself oh come on look I didn't know I could speak possum tongue what else don't I know about myself maybe you can do something even something horrible and not know you did it you don't believe that Harry I know you don't it provides doubt in his character and it makes his character more interesting and allows the audience to read into it as they may or like this scene that actually hasn't been released to the public of Hermione and crumb dancing and together at Bill's wedding it builds that doubt and Ron and brings more into question to one of the most conflicted characters in Deathly Hallows now as I said before most of these scenes don't change the story but they provide character moments but there are scenes that were cut that provide tone and tension they provide feeling like this scene from the Half Blood Prince it's one of my favorites [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] no dialogue in shots that choir it's hauntingly beautiful and it adds a tone to the film that is missing from the original cut it brings weight to the decision that Snape's eventually gonna make or this one at the end of the Order of the Phoenix where Harry has a quiet moment and he actually has a chance to grieve for the first time [Music] face about to stop thanks Ron I'm not really in the mood you know I'm not hungry either you gone really I'll be okay [Music] it gives us a moment to finally internalize the death of Sirius Black the original movie In The Cut and Pace doesn't give us a moment like this and it's very much needed especially when Sirius Black has been so important to Harry's character throughout the film and series foreign I think these scenes provide something that every single one of these movies is missing and it would improve the overall film it's just a shame they trimmed off a couple minutes to not include them and surprisingly there are actually a lot of deleted scenes which haven't been made available to the public either so what's your favorite deleted scene from the Harry Potter series and would you like to
