the law enforcement officials who spent years investigating this case i'm talking about the disappearance and subsequent discovery of the jamison family 44 year old bobby dale jameson his wife 40 year old sherry lynn jameson and their six-year-old daughter madison stormy starr jameson it is this family that brings us to eufaula oklahoma a lakeside community known for its spectacular sunsets and magical secluded stargazing hot spots that is where the jamisons settled in a small lake house after relocating from oklahoma city in search of a simpler more minimalistic lifestyle closer to nature but on october 8th 2009 the little family packed their belongings into their pickup truck and drove 30 miles to the san bois mountains with the intention of checking out a 40-acre plot of land that they planned to occupy they also planned to live on this land in a large storage container that they had been keeping in the yard of their euphala home they never returned to their little lake house and no one ever saw them alive again but before we jump into the case let's have a word from the sponsor of today's video glassesusa.com i think it's pretty clear to anyone watching that i am a thank you so much to glasses usa for sponsoring this video and let's dive back in okay let's start with a little background on the jameson family it looks as if both bobby and cherylin were originally from oklahoma city where they met and fell in love in 2002. shortly after this they got married and gave birth to a daughter madison on august 1st 2003 they had purchased the small lake house in eufaula oklahoma kind of as a vacation home but the family ended up loving it there so much they made it their full-time residence although they weren't very social with the neighbors and they didn't make attempts to branch out and meet new people the little family seemed happy and normal they were active in their local church they really seemed to get along at the end of the day the jameson family were very close and they preferred the company of each other over anyone else however on the evening of october 8 2009 without warning and without informing any of their friends or family the jamisons packed up their pickup truck and madison's beloved puppy maisie and they left eufaula heading to the remote and rugged san bois mountains 30 miles away from their home reports claim that the family were planning to buy some land and then transport that large storage container that was located in their yard to this land so they could live in it and though it's never been explicitly said it's likely that if they were planning to live in the storage unit they were also planning to convert the storage container into a tiny house this is pretty common people have done it and i can't imagine that they would move the storage container to the land and just sort of live in it as is although stranger things have happened the family drove for an hour before meeting with a man in the town of red oak oklahoma in latimer county red oak is a tiny town with a population of 549 people located in the san bois mountain area san bois is french for without trees or without wood however there are plenty of both in this area lots of trees lots of wood which is one of the reasons why there are not many people who make the areas in and around the san bois mountain their permanent home it's a very wild remote area there aren't a lot of paved roads reportedly the family met with an associate of the person who owned the land they were considering purchasing and after they had spoken to this guy for a bit they asked if they could hang around if they could stay for a couple minutes extra and continue looking at the land the man left and then the jameson family vanished initially for the first couple of days no one was really concerned about where bobby sherlin and madison were the family was known to travel quite a bit they owned two timeshares in mexico as well as several around the united states this was not the first time the family had made a trip and then gone dark in general the family was kind of reclusive they kept to themselves they'd taken madison out of school after an incident that had left her injured and they'd started homeschooling her now apparently this incident happened on the school playground and madison was hurt her two front teeth were completely knocked out it was a whole dramatic thing and they removed her from school and began homeschooling her and then cherylin and bobby brought home maisie the black and white puppy who'd been brought into the family just months before they disappeared and maisie had been gifted to madison so that madison would have an easier transition from traditional schooling to learning at home her parents had thought that she might need a friend and maisie had become madison's closest friend and constant companion it was also reported that the jamisons kept their money at home instead of in the bank because they didn't trust the banking institutions but after several days of not hearing from the jameson's family members called the police and reported them missing and the search began on october 17 2009 the jameson's white pickup truck was found by hunters on dirt bikes the truck had been abandoned in the middle of a dirt track northwest of red oak near an oil well site at first law enforcement thought that maybe the truck had been stolen and then left in this location by the thieves because the initial report had claimed that the truck had only been there for a few hours but then one of the hunters who had found the truck called in and reported to the police that he'd seen that truck there before it had not been sitting there for a few hours but for several days the truck was locked up and inside the police found the jameson family dog maisie starving and dehydrated barely hanging on it was reported that the only way maisie had survived being locked in the cab of that truck for eight days was by eating her own feces don't worry everybody maisie's okay maisie was sent to live with bobby's family and recovered that was not the only startling discovery made however inside the truck were all of the jameson's belongings including cell phones a gps unit sherilyn's purse and wallet both of their identifications and a bank bag located under the front seat stuffed full with cash totaling 32 thousand dollars vladimir county sheriff israel beauchamp said quote it didn't look to me that they got out and walked it looked like they got out and that was it they didn't take their coats it was kind of cold that day they didn't take their cell phones of course they didn't take the dog end quote the truck was parked in a way that made it look as if the family had been leaving the area when they'd stopped or been stopped by someone or something however there were no signs of struggle no broken glass no blood nothing due to the items found in the truck and maisie being left in the truck law enforcement believed that the family had either left their vehicle willingly not planning to be gone long or they had been removed from the vehicle by trickery or force and whatever happened next had prevented them from returning an enormous search effort began for the family who had been missing for over a week 400 volunteers came out to comb through the rough terrain on foot searchers on atvs and horseback scoured the area a drone was flown above the mountainous region snapping photographs planes with heat sensing devices attached were used and several teams of cadaver dogs were brought in to assist now these dogs did indicate several times at a nearby water tower so this tower was promptly drained but no sign of the jamison family was found not then or throughout the several weeks of searching sheriff israel beauchamp told the media that the search had been difficult since day one the thick triple canopy foliage and windy conditions had made air searches almost impossible because the pilots couldn't see much of anything through this thick foliage volunteers on the ground were dealing with their own challenges with the dense trees rugged terrain and treacherous mud sheriff beauchamp said quote we've already had to have people towed out we've had people slide off the side the conditions on the road are getting worse and they're just going to get worse as more people come up here end quote the daily oklahomian reported quote the steep and winding oil and gas roads that had been bogging down pickups and horse trailers were becoming far too treacherous search conditions were poor and black powder deer season meant it would be too dangerous to have search crews tromping through the woods end quote it would be dangerous for searchers to [ __ ] through the woods because it's deer season so there's going to be hunters out there just looking for any kind of movement in in the the trees and the leaves and then they're just going to shoot at that movement and it's going to be a searcher not a deer on october 31st the search was scaled back but sheriff bulsham claimed that he personally would not stop looking for the family even if it took his remaining three years in office law enforcement had made some discoveries based on the items they'd found in the truck though specifically the gps unit and bobby jameson's cell phone and these two things had given them some indication of what the family had done after parting ways with the man they'd met with that afternoon according to the gps unit which was a portable one the jamison family had left their truck and traveled for about 15 minutes to the top of a nearby hill where someone used bobby's cell phone to snap a picture of madison the last picture that would ever be taken of her now listen many people claim there's nothing off about this picture the madison just looks like a little girl who doesn't want to have her picture taken and so she's thrown a bit of a fit but to me this picture is one of the most unsettling aspects in this case and this case is filled with unsettling aspects so that's saying something this could just be me because a lot of people out there disagree with me but just looking at this picture fills me with unease to me madison looks very upset she looks scared she looks to be on the verge of tears she's sort of leaning her body away from whoever's taking the picture and her arms are wrapped around her body in what some have said is a typical child's way of showing stubbornness but to me it looks as if she's holding herself in a protective way as if she's scared as if she's trying to self-soothe the families of bobby and sherilyn jameson do not believe that this picture of six-year-old madison was taken by either of her parents bobby's mother starlet jean jameson said quote in the picture madison is looking away from the camera she looks unhappy and she has her arms crossed she loved having her picture taken and if that had been bobby or cherylin behind the camera she would not have looked like that end quote and i just have to believe that madison's own grandmother would know a little bit more about this six-year-old girl's mannerisms and baseline behavior than the rest of us do and there is something wrong with madison in this picture that's my opinion and i'm sticking to it and i think it goes beyond her just not wanting to have her picture taken after spending some time on this hill the gps unit showed the family returned to their truck and drove for a little bit longer before they stopped and parked and they stopped and parked at the place where their vehicle would be found several days later so if it wasn't her parents who had taken that picture of madison who did and what happened to this family were they victims of foul play had they gotten lost in the wilderness had this been their plan all along to have a fresh start drop off the face of the earth caught ties from their previous lives let's look at what we know about the family because although they seem to genuinely love each other things had not always been easy for the jamisons it didn't appear that either bobby or cherilyn had been working at the time of their disappearances and they had not been employed for some time bobby had been badly injured in a car accident in 2003 and this accident had left him with a back injury and constant chronic pain that prevented him from holding a job and this caused him to feel down and depressed cherylin was also struggling with her own mental health she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder however she had been taking her medication sporadically this caused her to have severe mood swings and sometimes to lash out at her family cherilyn really began to spiral in 2007 after her little sister marla died after being stung on her tongue by a bee which caused her throat to immediately swell up what a freak accident that is right i mean of all the things to happen i'm allergic to bees so this terrifies me because the articles i read made it sound like even if she'd had an epipen she wouldn't have even had time to have used it because of the location of the sting or the bite cherilyn's mother connie cocatan said quote marla was not just cherilyn's sister she was her best friend as well her death absolutely devastated sherilyn she would spend days up in her room she was very depressed and had to take medication end quote to make things worse in july of 2009 cherylin lost custody of her 12 year old son colton colton was sherilyn's son from her first marriage and for the majority of his life the boy had lived with his mother his stepfather and his half-sister madison but during a 2009 custody hearing colton expressed his desire to live full time with his father in oklahoma city claiming his mother had been very depressed in recent months she'd been acting strangely a few months later and just a month before she would vanish cherylin was hospitalized after a failed suicide attempt at one point or another both bobby's mother starlet and sherilyn's mother connie had ended up living with the family for various reasons and they were both able to speak to sherilyn's declining condition connie lived with them from march of 2008 to june of 2008 and she said the sherilyn's constantly changing moods were taking a toll on her marriage and the couple had been arguing however connie said you know all married couples argue and at the end of the day she always knew that cherylin and bobby still loved each other very much connie also recalled a time when cherilyn had driven her out to oklahoma city before stopping on the street and ordering connie to get out of her car before driving away connie said quote cherylin was a very strong-willed person but i saw her change dramatically she became very illogical end quote bobby's mother starlet had some stronger things to say about her daughter-in-law claiming sherilyn was a completely different person when she was in the middle of a manic episode starlet said quote she became incredibly angry and spiteful sometimes she was jealous of my relationship with madison and of my relationship with bobby the last time i actually spoke to bobby was in april 2009 because she banned me from speaking to him on the phone bobby loved her and he suffered because of her moods there was a time when i tried to get him and madison to move away to oklahoma city but really i would never have wanted to split them up they had their difficulties but they loved each other very much end quote okay okay can i just say i think there's more to this story and more to these family dynamics i know how complicated and toxic the mother-in-law daughter-in-law relationship can get i've seen it go down many a time you can't have two alpha females in a house all right and when you do when you try to do that you have two strong personalities a wife and a mother together first of all the husband and the son the same person he's gonna be put in the middle and second of all someone's going to kill someone and since we don't have sherilyn's side of the story i'm unwilling to just go ahead with starlet's narrative she said the last time she spoke to her son was april of 2009 because cherylin had forbidden him from talking to his mother on the phone yet she also says that at one point prior to this she tried to convince bobby to leave his wife take their daughter and move to oklahoma city with starlet which leads me to believe this happened before sherilyn told bobby to stop talking to his mother and those shenanigans may have been the reason why cherylin wasn't so keen on her husband conversing with his mother she was struggling she was struggling with the death of her sister the loss of her son and her own demons and while she's trying to sort all that out her mother-in-law is covertly trying to get bobby to take cherilyn's remaining child and leave her starlet i probably would have cut the cord too alright girl i'm just gonna say it but there is some evidence that the marriage of cherylin and bobby may have been strained in the jamison's truck the police found an 11-page letter written by cheryl lynn and addressed to her husband now this letter is basically a list of all the reasons sherilyn disliked her husband bobby we don't know everything that this letter said but it has been revealed that cherylin referred to bobby as a hermit and a loner who did not care about their daughter and she was planning to ask him for a divorce nikki sheenhold is a woman who had been cherilyn's best friend for 11 years and nikki claims the letter was nothing more than sherilyn venting nikki said quote it was a form of therapy she would write things down when they came into her mind but then she would move on she loved bobby end quote so things with the jamisons were not ideal in the weeks and the months before they vanished although multiple searches were conducted no sign of the family was found until four years later on november 16 2013 when the remains of two adults and one child were found by hunters in the smokestack hollow area of panola mountain near the town of quinta three miles from where their truck had been found in 2009 this was an extremely remote area heavily wooded and miles away from many paved roads using dna authorities were able to confirm that these were the remains of bobby jamison sherilyn jameson and little madison jamison a possible break sky 5 flew over the sands boys mountains where hunters found the skeletal remains of two adults and a child this is the same area where bobby and sherilyn jameson disappeared with their young daughter koco's kim passoth spoke to bobby's mother about her long wait for answers the jamison family lived here near lake eufaula but bobby's mom says they were looking to move to the mountains in early october of 2009 they made the hour-long drive to latimer county to look for property but were never seen again it's been so hard being able to sleep at night for the last four years starlet jameson has worried and wondered bobby's was one of these people that was always helping people her son bobby jamison has been missing along with his wife cheryl lynn and their six-year-old daughter madison she was always you know get into something and she'd look at you with a big brown eye eight days after they were reported missing the family's truck was found in the mountains mazie then just a puppy was inside barely alive the remains discovered by hunters this weekend were less than three miles away around the same time the remains were found bobby jamison's mom says she prayed for a miracle their bodies were found lying side by side face down and a search of the area recovered shoes bits of clothing bones and bone fragments all three pairs of shoes were found and a small dried flower was found with madison's shoes which is weird because you'd think after four years that that flower would have either disintegrated or blown away it's a strange part of the puzzle there was also a small piece of flexible material with cloth on one side that was found with bobby's things some people online have speculated that this could be the the bill is that what it's called the bill of a baseball cap you know the part that goes over your head and you can sort of bend it if you want it to be more curved i don't know what it's called people have speculated that that's what it might have been to otherwise we don't know what it was according to medical examiner dr joshua lanter the cause of death could not be determined due to the absence of skin soft tissue and internal organs there was also a lot of animal activity found on the bones however there was also a small hole found at the back of bobby's skull which investigators initially thought may have been a gunshot wound but later they ruled that out as a possibility even though many disagreed with this decision cherylin and madison did not have any visible wounds on them but that doesn't mean that there weren't any wounds present at one point the bodies had just become far too decomposed to be able to distinguish them now in order to move forward with this case we need to discuss theories which might help illuminate what kind of people the jamisons were and what their lives were like before their untimely demise and there are several theories in this case each one more shocking than the next but surprisingly each theory does have some evidence to support it a fact that was not lost on latimer county sheriff israel beauchamp who said quote normally you can go through an investigation and one by one start to eliminate certain scenarios we haven't been able to do that in this case with this family everything seems possible end quote initially the police had one main theory and this theory centered around cherylin and bobby jameson being involved with drugs somehow the family had security cameras outside their homes and on the evening of october 8 2009 when they were getting ready to head into the mountains the cameras had captured bobby and cherylin loading up their truck for the trip there was something very odd about their behavior the couple made dozens of trips back and forth from the house to the truck but they did so in complete silence without speaking one word to each other and in what the police called a trance-like state sometimes they would make these trips with nothing in their hands and at other times they would stop and stare off into the distance with blank looks on their faces or they would stare at each other with blank looks on their faces and the police say that this might be because they're under the influence of some kind of drugs in this video cherylin can be seen placing a brown leather briefcase into the truck but later when the truck was recovered by law enforcement that briefcase was not found in the truck and it became a popular theory that the jamisons were either using meth or selling it for extra money neither of them worked they were both on disability and money had become tight and it became even tighter when cherylin lost custody of her son colton and his child support payments stopped coming in sherilyn's mother connie had overheard bobby telling sherilyn that he knew of a way to get money but he didn't want to involve her in it additionally in the months leading up to their disappearances both bobby and cherylin had dropped a lot of weight leaving them with emaciated looking appearances and losing a lot of weight and becoming very thin and gaunt is a side effect of using methamphetamine additionally even though the family had been apparently strapped for cash they were having a hard time paying their bills thirty-two thousand dollars in cash had been found in their truck sheriff beauchamp theorized that the family had possibly gotten involved in selling drugs as a way to make extra money and one of the deals had gone very wrong leaving the family dead many people have asked well why would the killer have you know killed them and then left all this money behind in the vehicle if the reason they'd killed the family was for the money or for drugs but sheriff beauchamp theorizes that the brown briefcase that cherylin put into the truck the one that went missing and wasn't found and hasn't been found probably had the drugs and or money inside of it and since it was missing from the truck it was most likely what the perpetrator or perpetrators were after since they didn't know there was an additional 32 000 stuffed under the front seat it had remained there and it is true that the san bois mountain range has a reputation for being a haven for meth labs it's very isolated place where the drugs can be cooked up far away from prying eyes according to the oklahoman meth labs are an ongoing problem in the state and in 2011 law enforcement discovered 913 meth labs tucked away around different remote areas john duncan a chief agent with the oklahoma bureau of narcotics and dangerous drugs control said quote there's no question it's an epidemic in fact i think oklahoma has one of the worst math problems in the united states end quote now this is mostly due to the area's close proximity to the mexican border along with oklahoma's extensive highway system and notoriously high rates of drug abuse however family members of the jamisons dispute very vehemently that cherylin and bobby were using drugs sherilyn's mother connie said quote i never saw anything like that cherilyn was depressed she was looking for ways to fight through that but i never saw any evidence that they were using drugs of any kind they were not taking meth there's no way how could they have looked after little madison if they were they were good parents and they would not have been capable of that if they were on meth end quote however the family does not dispute that bobby and sherilyn might have gotten wrapped up in a drug deal that turned very bad because they would be trying to provide for their family in any way they could and it's been suggested that they may have gone up into those mountains to meet with someone to exchange drugs for money or money for drugs and they were killed during that interaction or maybe the couple had gone to the mountains innocently enough but then they saw something they should not have like the location of a meth lab bobby's mother starlet said quote there are lots of them up there it is well known maybe they stumbled across one of them when they were there and someone came after them end quote sherilyn's best friend nikki also said that it would be possible bobby may have gotten involved in selling drugs or running drugs thinking it would have been a one and done thing which would give them enough money to make it by sherilyn's mother connie also claimed that a few months before the jameson family went missing bobby had gone to the police to report someone local to the area for running a meth lab which would obviously make that person very upset maybe have a little bit of an axe to grind with bobby jamison a year after the remains of bobby cherylin and madison were found cherilyn's best friend nikki took a trip to the san bois mountains and she said quote i went up to those mountains about a year later and near where the bodies were found there was a line of cars parked with texas license plates when we got near the actual spot there were a couple of gunshots they sounded like warning shots to me i don't scare easily but that place really freaks me out there's something not right about it end quote but here's the thing searches of the jameson's home and vehicles turned up nothing that suggested the couple had been taking or selling drugs there was no drugs found no drug residue no drug paraphernalia no like huge sums of money stashed away nothing the next theory we're going to talk about is actually kind of like two theories mixed together but they travel along the same strange path first we have reports that the jamison family felt they were under some spiritual attack during the initial stages of the investigation the jameson's pastor a man named gary brandon told the police that both bobby and cherilyn had confided in him that there were multiple spirits in their home and they were engaged in spiritual warfare bobby had claimed that he often saw two two four spirits on the roof of their lake house and cherylin had told pastor gary brandon that the spirits of a long dead family were living in the house with them including a little girl named emily whom madison would often talk to and communicate with and emily's brother michael the jamisons had mentioned that an exorcism might be needed and one day bobby had called pastor brandon and asked him if he could obtain special bullets that could shoot spirits okay so i have to stop here because what's pastor brandon doing what what's he doing this isn't confession you don't have some sort of privilege you don't have some sort of like code of silence when a dude calls you up asking if you have or know where to get special bullets that can kill spirits you need to call somebody you need to call the police or you need to call bobby's mom and be like go get your boy all right he's acting wild you have to do something you can't just like take the call oh bullets for spirits yeah actually let me um let me check out the old testament if it's anywhere it'll be there i know i have werewolf bullets i also have a special cage that can trap a magic fairy but spirit bullets oh it might take some research and work bobby let me get right back to you what are you doing like let someone know pastor brandon bobby also told pastor brandon that he had obtained and consulted the satanic bible so that he could use it to rid their home of the spiritual presences i'm not sure if that works i'm not sure if you would find a way to get rid of evil spirits in the satanic bible you would find a way to conjure evil spirits but i don't i don't know i haven't read it from you know cover to cover yet i just always get stuck like somewhere along the middle but apparently bobby was feeling that the satanic bible had sort of begun rubbing off on him in a way and after the disappearance of the family law enforcement discovered some other odd things at the jamison's lake house first there was a witch's bible a witch's bible that had belonged to cheryl lynn and the police found it on their coffee table and it also looked as if cherilyn had scrawled some bizarre things on the side of the shipping container in her yard the one that they were planning to move to their land and live in one message in particular said quote three cats killed to date by people in this area witches don't like their black cat killed end quote now according to sherilyn's friend nikki sherlin was quote interested in witches we both were years before we bought matching witches bibles we put them on our coffee tables as a bit of a joke that's what the police found end quote so cherylin thought that she was a witch but nikki's saying she didn't really think she was witch she just wanted everyone in the area to think that she was a witch or to think that at least she thought she was a witch so that they would like leave her alone now as an explanation for that and for the messages that were written on the storage container nikki claims someone had killed the jameson's cat cherilyn had claimed that their cat had been poisoned by one of their neighbors so she'd written that message to scare them to basically be like oh you thought you just poisoned the jameson's cat no you poisoned the main hbic the the supreme witch of eufaula you poisoned her cat so we don't like that witches don't like that nikki said a quote cherylin would leave notes around the house saying get out satan and stuff like that it was her way of dealing with things end quote nikki also said that she and sherilyn would do seances and stuff but she thought cherylin always took it a bit more seriously than she did cherylin's mother connie she claims she never took her daughter seriously when cherylin claimed to be a witch but she did admit that sherilyn had told her their house was haunted and she'd been trying to determine its haunted origins connie said quote she definitely started trying to figure out whether the house was built on a native american burial ground i do not know what she discovered end quote sherilyn's friend nikki agreed that something strange was going on in the jamison home saying quote in all seriousness that house was haunted i don't want to sound crazy but whenever i went in there i felt a horrible presence i would leave feeling so down and depressed it's hard to describe once i was in the living room and this gray mist descended down the stairs it really scared me end quote cherylin had also told nikki that bobby would quote suddenly come at her and his eyes would be completely dead and black like he was possessed end quote nikki said that this was very strange because usually bobby was the most gentle man additionally not far from where the jameson family vanished the police had found an old wrecked vehicle that locals had been using for target practice apparently there had been some satanic messages scrawled on the side of the car but someone had written over those messages with the words god love you and peace nikki chenold believes that that someone was sherilyn jameson saying quote she obviously did it on the day they were up there maybe someone saw her and got really angry because she was writing over their messages it wouldn't surprise me up there end quote there was also the mention that a local white supremacist group had made the jameson family their targets in 2010 this case was featured on the id show disappeared and shortly after it aired nikki chenold claimed to receive a call from an anonymous woman who said she'd been a part of a white supremacist group called the united white knights and this group had a book with names in it names of people who had become a problem and who needed to be taken care of this woman said she would memorize the names that she read in the book and then she would go home and look the names up on the internet she claims that many of the names she looked up the names she saw in the book came back to missing people including the jameson family now this reformed white supremacist also told nikki about an insignia that was on bobby jameson's wedding ring and this was a thing that very few people knew about and a fact that had never been published but apparently this white supremacist group knew about the insignia on his ring now this could be connected to a man that police thought could potentially be a suspect for about five minutes apparently the jameson family had a man living with them for a few months some sources say this man was hired by the family to help out around the house others claim he was a family friend but either way this man apparently found out that sherilyn had native american blood and according to connie kokatan he quote was saying he hated indians and anyone who wasn't white cherilyn wanted to protect madison so she got her gun and made the guy leave end quote when law enforcement found out about this altercation they were anxious to follow the lead and see where it went latimer county sheriff israel beauchamp said quote he had the barrel stuck in his ear by cherylin at first you think great here's someone with a motive but the fbi cleared him end quote because the fbi fbi's never cleared anybody who's been guilty of something right never apparently this man had an alibi but many have asked could this man have been connected to the alleged united white knights group and if he did it would follow then maybe he had an alibi but did all of his buddies in the group have an alibi did any of them did the police find them according to the police no such group existed so were cherilyn and bobby jameson involved in a satanic group is that why she had the witch's bible and he had the satanic bible and they were doing their own dark magic research and they just kind of told their pastor they were only doing it so they could like get rid of the spirits in their house or were they attacked by the spirits were they driven mad by the spirits who lived in their house and the little kids who were just running around talking to madison did they force them to do this is that why the jameson family looked like they were in a trance when they were loading their car because they were under some spirit mind control or did the white supremacist group come after them like they said they were now i will say for the record since the police have found no existence of this group i think that the woman who called and told nikki all of this stuff was probably just trying to get attention or lying or even just trying to throw up a red herring or just trying to insert herself into the case because as we know people do that all the time we've got people who falsely confess to murdering someone else because they want to be like involved and they think oh the evidence will show that i didn't do it and you know in the meantime i'll have a fun ride and a cool crazy story to tell people later so i think that's what was going on there but who knows man who knows because apparently this part of oklahoma gets pretty wild all right so you know when police shows when someone goes missing or gets murdered the cops go around and they ask people that the victim knew you know did anyone have like a problem with this person did your friend or family member have any enemies unless you're david crusoe a la csi miami horatio and in that in that case you might say something like with friends like these who needs enemies well the one name that consistently came up when this question was asked by law enforcement was bobby's father bobby dean jameson at the time of his disappearance bobby jr was suing his parents for ten thousand dollars and the petition said quote bobby dean jameson enticed bobby jameson to work for free at a gas station in oklahoma city for numerous years without compensation but with the understanding that the station would be half his when he was older end quote so apparently according to bobby's mother starlet quote bob used to get bobby to work at the gas station he even used to pull him out of school so he could help out it was always the understanding that bobby would get half the money from any sale that didn't happen so bobby fought for his money and it all turned a bit ugly i don't want to turn bob into some monster but he did threaten the family we had split up by that stage and i moved in with bobby and cherylin for a bit there were a few confrontations and we were worried so i installed security cameras at the house end quote sherilyn's mother connie said that both her daughter and her son-in-law were scared of bob because he had money and a temper and apparently there was rumors that he was connected in some way to the mexican mafia now bobby james and bobby jr had actually taken out an order of protection against his father shortly before he went missing and in that petition bobby alleged that his father had threatened to kill him and his family twice within a six-month period once in november of 2008 and once in late april of 2009. he also said his father had hit him with his vehicle on november 1st 1 2008 bobby described his father as a very dangerous man who thought he was above the law and who was involved with prostitutes gangs and meth bobby wrote quote my entire family is severely scared for their lives i am in fear at all times end quote so did bob senior have something to do with the disappearances of his son daughter-in-law and granddaughter this is a question we'll probably never really know the answer to because first of all bob senior he denied any kind of uh involvement he also passed away in december of 2009 two months after the family went missing but i tend to doubt this theory because when he died he had named madison jameson his granddaughter as his sole beneficiary cutting out his ex-wife starlet and his son bobby altogether and apparently bob had some money and there was some disputes between the families and i get the impression that there was a lot of fighting going on because just a couple of months after the jameson family went missing kani kokotan wrote a message that said i am connie cochtan sherilyn jameson's mother my family has been missing since october the 8th in the san juan mountains the missing family is the jameson family bobby cherylin and little madison it doesn't seem possible that they could just go missing without a trace i have recently found out that the fbi has closed the case and it is now considered a cold case it appears that they walked a few feet from the truck and something happened to them never to be seen again i believe in my heart that harm has been done to them but i prayed that they didn't have to suffer it hurts me to think about a number of things that could have been done to them i have to live with that the rest of my life the grief is overwhelming my biggest prayer is that they can be found god does do mighty things it's bad enough that this has happened but i just found out that my daughter's mother-in-law has gotten a court order so that she has possession of the house furnishings money and anything on the outside of the house including two cars and the truck there are two other pieces of property just down the street with a boat and a bobcat on it that she has control of as well there's a great amount of money that should go to the 15 year old son for college and he was not with the family at the time the family went missing if the money is given to her she's going to try to pay off the house which the family has lost a great amount of income and has decided not to keep the house she has a large settlement from her divorce her divorced husband died a couple of weeks ago and she's going to try to get everything back from the settlement i have no funding to stop her from taking everything including family heirlooms there's only two adults that should be taking care of this matter that would be my son-in-law's mother and myself i pray for god to watch this family thank you for any prayers we need all the help possible connie so bob senior makes little madison his beneficiary of everything and so it seemed like you know he must have loved his granddaughter or had some sort of emotional attachment to her in order to do that so i don't see why he would order somebody to kill his son his daughter-in-law and his granddaughter additionally bob senior's brother jack who would be bobby's uncle he was named the executor of bob senior's estate and he does not believe that his brother had anything to do with what happened to the jamesons he said quote he was either in the hospital or an arrest home i just don't think he was involved he was disturbed at the time but i'm pretty sure he was not capable of being involved in that end quote another popular theory is that the family left the truck to like take a walk or whatever and then they just got lost unable to find their way back to the vehicle they wandered about before dying from dehydration or the elements but very few people believe this theory including the family members of the jameson family who have never wavered in their belief that someone murdered them sherilyn's mother connie said quote there's no way they just wandered off and got lost what i truly believe is that they went up there saw something they shouldn't and were murdered by someone who that was i just don't know the way their truck was left it looks like it had been forced to stop by someone everyone knows there are lots of evil people up in those mountains it's where outlaws like jesse james used to hide out it's so isolated i'm scared to go up there end quote and i mean she's she's kind of right there's this place um in the the san bois mountains called robbers cave and there's a robbers cave park and there's a really big cave there that it is said outlaws like jesse james and bellstar used to hide out in between like stagecoach robberies and bank robberies they'd hide there and rendezvous and like split up their money but connie says this theory of them just leaving the truck walking around getting lost and dying it doesn't make sense considering the fact that maisie the dog was left in the car and madison loved that dog so much she would never have left her in the car if they were going to be gone for any extended period of time additionally the way the family's remains were found all in a line face down it doesn't suggest that they died from the elements exposure dehydration starvation it looks more as if it was an execution if you're going to die from like you know dehydration or i guess the cold you're not really all going to just lay face down in the dirt next to each other all lined up neatly you're going to sort of probably die at different times because you have different body fat different metabolisms things like that so it really just doesn't make sense the way that they were found that this is what happened they just died naturally from exposure or dehydration cherilyn's son colton also claimed that his mother and stepfather had not mentioned taking a trip or relocating at all and he'd just seen cherylin two weeks before her disappearance so if she was planning to move up into the mountains you'd think she'd tell her son but colton doesn't believe that they got lost either he said quote that just doesn't make any sense bobby grew up in the country and i mean proper country he knew nature and he knew what he was doing out there no way would he have got lost like that end quote and colton did live with bobby for most of his life i'm sure they did many activities together it sounds like the family traveled a lot when camping things like that so colton probably knows bobby's nature knowledge and like the extent of his survival skills additionally it's very hard to believe knowing bobby's ailments that he could have walked the distance from where the truck was left to where his remains were found due to his very bad back and the constant pain he was in his mother starlet said quote their bodies were found about three miles from the truck but that's as the crow flies when you're going round and round and about and up and down it's nearer to seven no way could they have made it over that ground especially with bobby's back end quote and this is a really good point because three miles as the crow flies it means the crow can just fly in a straight line the crow doesn't have to climb over you know mountains or hills the crow doesn't have to find paths through you know very dense areas the crow can get there much quicker but if we're talking about three humans who are walking from point a to point b in this very dense wilderness area they're gonna have to go like starlet said up and around and down they're gonna have to climb it's gonna be very rough terrain and with bobby as bad as he was physically i can't see why he would do that willingly cherylin's friend nikki agrees with starlet saying that bobby would be in so much pain just from walking around the house he would never have been able to cover that kind of ground and nikki does not believe that the family left their vehicle willingly i would like to point out that when the jamison family left their truck to hike a short distance up the hill where that picture of madison was allegedly taken they'd brought their gps unit because it was a very isolated area and they didn't know their way around yet but the second time that they got out of that truck they didn't bring the gps unit so it's hard to believe that they would have walked any distance much less a long distance like this without the gps unit when they'd previously brought it along for a quick 15-minute walk up a hill and there are two last theories that put that sadly put cherylin and or bobby in the spotlight as the possible perpetrators of this horrible tragedy the first theory is folie do or shared insanity we talked about it in a couple videos before specifically the pauline and juliet series it's actually something that's i wouldn't say common but there are instances of people who share this same sort of um paranoid insane thought and they sort of just hype each other up and they feed into each other until they pretty much drive each other crazy in august of 2016 a family of five left their berry farm and hit the road but they were not embarking on some family fun road trip they were fleeing from the people that they thought were trying to kill them the parents mark trump and jacoba trump had become convinced that they were being hunted and within no time they had their children convinced that their lives were in danger as well convinced enough to leave all of their electronic devices behind so that they would not be tracked as they escaped to somewhere safe where they could hide so mark and jacoba didn't convince all of their kids they convinced pretty much two out of three and they really only convinced one very seriously so there was three kids there was two daughters and a son if i remember this case properly and the one daughter was like completely on board the other daughter was like you know kind of straddling the fence and the son whose name i believe is mitchell he was not about this life at all he did not believe what was happening and he even said like it was the strangest thing that i saw they just completely lost it so mitchell actually like snuck his phone away because they told everybody they told the kids leave all your cell phones here tablets here passports everything like when the police went in that house was a mess everything was turned upside down the passports were flung all over clothes were flung all over as if they just you know sort of just grabbed everything thrown a bunch of stuff in a suitcase and left but mitchell brought his phone and the dad figured it out about you know halfway there and he made mitchell throw it out the window and then yelled at him for possibly like compromising their location and while it sounds ridiculous these people were truly terrified for their lives and when it was all said and done the police could not figure out why it happened so this actually happened in australia and one of the police officers who was on the case his name was sergeant mark knight and he actually knew the family personally and he was like i can't figure this out for the life of me right there's no diagnosed mental health issues these people aren't you know doing drugs they don't have any debts they have a successful business they've got friends they're well liked and respected in the community they basically had nothing to run from it just appeared to be a massive meltdown that was experienced by more than one person at the same time so many speculate that mark and jacoba trump had whipped each other into a frenzy sharing the mad belief that they were in danger and strengthening that belief amongst each other they'd both fallen under this spell and there wasn't a logical one among the two to bring the other one back from the ledge so they both went over and it sounds a little bit or a lot like what happened with the jameson family at least as far as we know both bobby and sherilyn had been getting progressively more paranoid and more withdrawn from those around them they'd moved to eufaula from oklahoma city to be more isolated and now they were driving into the san bois mountains to be even more off the grid and they were going to live in a storage container where i guarantee you they're not going to have internet access you know or real electricity so maybe they were trying to hide from someone maybe they thought that their phones were being tapped maybe they thought that someone was after them they definitely were claiming to see spirits all in and on the house you know just on the roof i don't know when bobby saw these spirits on the roof you think he was just outside having a cigarette and he just look up at his house and they're just like jumping you know over the roof just jumping around these little gray and white shining spirits doing what somersaults up there what are the spirits doing on the roof are they going down the chimney is this like a fun sort of water park game for them is that what it's going to be like in the afterlife when you're a spirit you can fly and you can't die and you can do whatever you want are you just going to slide down chimneys for the thrill of it i'm sorry we got off track but they were definitely maybe having some paranoia they're definitely maybe seeing things or imagining things that were happening that weren't maybe the family was searching for a place to hide out feeling that they were being followed or tracked and that's why they didn't bring the gps unit when they left the truck that second time maybe they'd gone to the top of the hill to kind of scout out the area and see if there was any cool places to hide and then they went back to the truck just specifically to leave the gps there they drove a little further maybe to a location that was closer to like a hideout spot that they'd seen from the hill and then they locked up the truck and left but why would they leave maisie in the truck because i feel like a dog would have some benefit to you off the grid you know they can tell you if somebody's coming by barking maybe they can bring you back birds maybe you can teach it or train it to to hunt for you why would they leave maisie in the car knowing they weren't going to come back to the car and the dog would die so that theory isn't super relevant to me i mean unless they were just so off the rails mentally that they didn't think about it or they didn't care but still would madison have let them leave the dog in the car what was madison thinking during all of this that's the terrifying part to me because if her parents had gone insane and if they were sort of you know feeding into each other and they were just getting more and more frenzied and paranoid and poor little madison sitting over here like what the hell is going on what's happening to my parents i'm confused and terrified or maybe as they were driving up into the mountains sherilyn and bobby got themselves all worked up feeling that someone was following them maybe they saw another truck or you know they saw a car following them so they were like all right let's lose the these pursuers they parked the truck got out trying to lose their tail but they ended up getting lost still don't see why they would have left maisie in the car unless they were getting out very quickly and thinking that they would just be right back once their you know pursuers had moved on this could have also and sadly been a murder suicide now remember that cherylin had a gun a gun that she pulled on that racist man living with her which honestly man i don't care if she was a little off the rails that was the that was the right thing to do all right carolyn sounded like a real oklahoma badass like the kind of woman that you want to be with you when [ __ ] goes down so sherilyn had this you know it wasn't a big gun it was a i think a 20 caliber pistol a little gun but she always had it with her especially when they were in the car and they were traveling but her gun wasn't found in the vehicle or near her body where she was discovered bobby did have a small hole in the back of his skull that law enforcement couldn't say whether or not it had been made by a bullet but they said probably not but that hole possibly still could have been a sign that bobby was shot considering that the medical examiner couldn't determine the exact cause of death for any of the three now sherilyn was struggling with a lot of things i mean i don't know how strong i would have been under the weight of all this stuff what she was going through even just taking away the diagnosis of bipolar i feel like a lot of that would have broken me she was bipolar but she didn't take her medication on a regular basis she'd written a long letter basically all about how much she hated her husband what she hated about him and that she wanted a divorce her sister and her best friend died in some freak accident that you would never expect something completely you know preventable had there been enough time and the right things available so she lost her sister and then she lost custody of her son that's horrible and there was definitely something going on with cherilyn even her own mother said that that she was off that she drove her to oklahoma city and ordered her to get out of the car that she could become you know kind of aggressive and mean under the right circumstances and in the right moods now i personally don't know if i believe this theory because you'd think that if cherylin had shot bobby and then she shot herself in madison the gun would be like in the area right because i mean unless her spirit or one of the evil spirits from the house that pursued them maybe they grabbed the gun and took it brought it up to the roof of the lake house but i don't really think that's possible so unless cherylin shot her husband and then went and like hid the gun somewhere and then returned to the same area to kill herself and her daughter in a different way hopefully a kinder way and then making sure that they were all laying side by side and face down you know it doesn't really add up like too much has to happen for for that to be the case i mean unless there were people who went through the area at one point and they found the gun and they took it maybe they didn't see the remains of the jameson family because allegedly uh the reason that the cops said they hadn't found the family during these intensive searches they did in the weeks following their disappearance was because the the remains were covered up by leaves obscured by leaves now whether those leaves fell after they died or if the leaves were purposely put there that's a whole nother kind of conversation because they went missing october 8th now i don't know how it is with oklahoma but our leaves start falling here beginning middle of october but they don't start falling a lot until november but that also depends on the weather if it's a warmer fall it takes a while for them to come down so there's a lot of factors here but if they were covered by that many leaves where it obscured their remains are we saying that these people died at some point in october and their remains were just covered right from the get did they get covered by these leaves by somebody else i really think that somebody else was responsible although we know that sherilyn had attempted to hurt herself before i don't think that she would hurt her husband and her daughter and i don't know how she would have done it without the gun and there's really no evidence that the gun was used or any gun was used but that's the thing with this case even the bizarre theories seem sort of plausible and to hear all these people talk about this area of oklahoma anything's possible because apparently southeastern oklahoma's like neverland this magical but intensely terrifying place with fairies oh did i forget to tell you one of the spirits in the jamison house apparently had wings and would fly around in this area of oklahoma they got pirates who are trying to take you out make you walk the plank hiding out in their pirate caves up in the mountains with their texas license plates and shotguns cooking up meth you know this seems like a crazy kind of place and even you know sherilyn's mother and friend and bobby's mother they were like yeah the mountains everyone knows everyone knows to be scared of mountains the kind of people that live up there everyone knows you don't go up in the mountains there's meth labs there's outlaws there's criminals there's you know weird mountain people the hills have eyes you just don't go up there so this is uh kind of strange you don't know what to believe but there was a similar case where a young man named tommy estep disappeared in july of 2013. now the last place that tommy had been seen was by lake eufaula oklahoma apparently he was supposed to meet his family there for a reunion when he didn't show up or contact anybody for a week tommy's mother reported him missing and then his truck was found abandoned two months later near the lake with his wallet identification and money locked inside of the truck four years later in 2017 hunters found tommy's remains just a few miles from where his truck had been found in a heavily wooded area and he was also too decomposed to determine cause of death but just like in the jameson case the police have no suspects no persons of interest and tommy's death remains a mystery to this day just like the jamisons and this is very similar to have two different cases that happened at two separate times but in the same area where the person goes missing their truck is found everything locked up inside and then their remains are found not far from where their vehicles found in some wooded areas four years later very odd so what happened to the jameson family if they were having money troubles and their only income was through disability checks where did that 32 thousand dollars in cash come from had they been saving that money for a long time planning to use it to buy their plot of land and i truly believe that money was there for the purchase of land i don't think that they were selling drugs or anything but it could have been money that they got from selling drugs so hear me out what if bobby bobby jr was working with bobby senior who was actually involved with the mexican mafia and meth and stuff and what if bobby jr realized you know i can't make a lot of money doing anything else but this i can do and then that's kind of where they had a falling out and maybe bobby jr owed bobby senior some money from all this drug stuff and so that's why bobby senior was like okay i know i told you you'd get a cut of the profits from the gas station but you owe me money you haven't paid it yet so you're not getting it and that's why i'm not holding up my end of the deal i mean he's obviously not going to say that in court statements but that could have been the reason because it didn't seem like bobby jr and his father had any ill will towards each other before that and i mean bobby's mother starlet was married to his father for 40 years before they got divorced just shortly before the jameson family went missing so maybe bobby senior wasn't that bad of a guy if she's going to stay married to him for 40 years and like she said she didn't want to make him seem like a monster so it's not that he was like a horrible person that she just couldn't wait to destroy in the media i don't know it's a theory but i personally think that there was definitely foul play involved i think the jameson family were forced out of their truck and driven to the location where their bodies were found because i don't think bobby in his physical condition could have gotten to where they got but just like everyone else i can't say who did it or why i will say that the flower found in madison's shoe by her remains this little dried wildflower it is stuck with me as something that's very odd because you'd think four years later that that flower was just a little tiny wildflower would have disintegrated by then or blown away in the wind i mean this is in the mountains there's trees all over it gets real windy the rain the snow all of the elements that you'd experience on the mountains how was that dried flower still there which makes me wonder were there other people involved did the other people sort of confront the jamisons for whatever reason on that road and when they found out that there was a six-year-old girl with them they felt bad because they had to kill her as well so maybe somebody who was involved with what happened to the jamisons because it could have been multiple people more than one person came back later to the site or came back often to the site and left little flowers for madison because he or she felt guilty about what they had taken part in that's kind of creepy and then you have also sherilyn's gun missing that she always had on her he's never been found and that brown briefcase the sherilyn was seen putting into the car unless they dropped it off someplace to someone both items where did those things go and it seems if this was some sort of nefarious drug deal gone wrong or the angry owners of some meth lab who didn't want cherilyn and bobby to you know tell on them if that was the case if those were the perpetrators then probably they'd be interested in taking the gun and the briefcase that held money or drugs or whatever but they would have overlooked that envelope of money stuffed under bobby's seat because only bobby knew it was there but it's a crazy case it's a crazy case and every single law enforcement official who's been on this case has said the same thing like we don't even know which way to look at this point there's no suspects there's no persons of interest everybody we've come across has been cleared we just don't have an answer for why this happened but we followed these theories and we really haven't been able to disprove a ton of them so that kind of leaves it very much up in the air and very much still a mystery now which of the theories that we discussed sound the most likely to you or do you have other theories that i didn't bring up or we didn't go over i'm looking forward to hearing all of your thoughts in the comments section also don't forget to check out glassesusa.com the links are in the description box like this video if you liked it share it if you think it's worth sharing subscribe if you haven't already and don't forget to follow my podcast crime weekly that i co-host with retired police detective derek lavasser we have new episodes out on audio platforms every single friday and our video of that same case goes out the following wednesday on youtube links are in the description for that as well thank you so much for being here i'm having so much fun with halloween although this case was very sad not so much one of those fun ones that i liked to research but it was a case that's been highly requested for a long time it is a big mystery and you can find information also in the description box on who you can call or who you can contact if you have any information on what happened to the jameson family i also want to know your opinion on the madison jameson picture the whole consensus is very split online some people are like yes this is something a lot of people are like no it's not i think it's something it creeps me out i it almost makes me feel that these people were with them the jameson family when they went out on the hill and brought them back to their truck and kind of had them lock it up and then they continued on i don't know you let me know what you think about it in the comment section i can't wait to hear from you stay kind stay beautiful stay spooky and i'll see you very very soon [Applause] [Music] is [Music] [Music] but you don't know how deep it goes until it's getting you slowly so you got to let it go i got blood [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] blood on streets [Music]
