Harbor Freight Review: GREASE GUN

hey guys what's up its I'm striking in today's quick review is going to be about the farmer Freight or the Pittsburgh pistol grip grease gun it's about 15 bucks I happened to pick it up on coupon so it came out to be a little bit less than that so it's going to open it up set it up and see how it works what you get out inside is basically just the grease gun nothing else in a bag let's tear this bag open and you're going to have your grease gun a looks like a locking ring on there you have to decompress that to pull the ring off and it automatically pops up and you're going to have your hose this side screws into the gun the bottom of it right there and this side will go onto your zerk fittings so let's go ahead and screw this on and I'm probably going to grab up open it wrench what you see 12:00 go ahead screw it on clockwise now there's really no manual in this thing to tell you how tight to do it so we're going to do it just a nice hand tight the closer you move your hand to the actual whatever it is you're tightening the less torque you're putting it on so it says probably a decent tightness because this looks like it's cast aluminum and we don't want to over tighten that otherwise we'll just break the threads you're going to pull back this plunger and pull it back all the ways going to lock all right don't hit this tab is going to come flying forward pull this back remove that black cap the plastic cap off this exposing the grease stick that in there and see the arrow stick that into your gun all the way then you're going to remove that soda can lid peel it back disposing your nice fresh grease you're going to then screw it back into the gun not all the way it's got to go in screw it in once it's tight go back about a turn to a turn and a half and release this plunger by pushing this tab and that's going to push that grease in okay now you can begin to turn there you go it's got to go in all the way just like that perfect now you can go ahead and tighten this cylinder back up to a good hand tight now you can just pump your gun and it will start a jet and grease I can feel it there it is all right so let's go put on a zerk fitting see how it works all right now that we're down at the Harbor free three-ton for Jack it happens to have a zerk fitting so we're going to go ahead and lubricate this pivot axle here you're going to take your attachment for the zerk fitting put it on and push it you're going to feel it click there you go and that is now fitted on and we're going to get to pump our grease gun now we might start seeing it coming out of the sides here don't push further than that once I starts coming out you know it's done I hear it and I see it coming out of here and might be coming out the other end too now yep now I see it coming out I don't think I saw that but it's coming out either in there and you're gonna see it coming out of here ready see it's slowly coming out all right so that is good to go we're going to wipe that up all right guys thanks for watching itself stricken and I am out
