Hamburgers at the Frosty Mug Drive-In in Harrogate Tennessee

it's the blues brothers right here in front of this pharmacy for some odd reason hey friends you're looking at lincoln memorial university and that means we're in harrogate tennessee and we're going to grab a bite to eat because we found a great little drive-in down here and we're going to check it out you guys want to come along we're buying folks we found the frosty mug drive-in in harrogate tennessee and we're going to check out their menu and see what they've got and we're going to eat like i said we're buying y'all order anything you want and there's our traditional phone call we get every video we make it's good luck the video won't do well if we don't get the phone call anyway folks we're gonna we're gonna pull up here look the menu over get something neat and then we'll share it with you and y'all feel free to order whatever you want it's on us okay we got ourselves a parking spot and we're getting a bacon cheeseburger from me a bacon cheeseburger without the bun carb style for my wife and of course a foot long chili dog for papa coyote he's a chili dog that's right he loves the chili dogs hey looky here they have got some neat old pictures here james dean andy and uh barney the coke girl i believe are dr pepper girl over there on the side got merlin and barney and john wayne and todd just love all these old signs papa cody likes merlin don't you you're a merlin road fan aren't you [Laughter] well as soon as we get the food we'll show it to you guys we'll talk to you about it now did y'all order what you wanted it's on us well actually it's on papa cody he said he's paying for everybody dummy all righty chili dogs this is papa cody's chili dog no no weiner just the chili dog it looks really good mustard and honey all righty now i'm gonna take a look at my wife's carb cheese bacon burger yummy yummy yeah that is hold it still hold it still there it is no bun low carb that's a cheese bacon burger and now and now this is what a hamburger cheeseburger or a bacon cheeseburger should look like it has a bun this is the way god meant these to look and taste let's open okay let's let's take it we're moving over here i'm having a stretch more mark okay plenty of bacon plenty of cheese pickles big patty of meat that looks like a good fresh mail that looks good folks made the way he likes it we'll get right back with you halfway through and tell you how it's going yeah you do that all righty first impression this is really good i regret i didn't get the big one that's right they have one the young lady described as much bigger than this one and i chickened out and didn't get it this is so good i wish to have it's really good what do you think yours the bacon's delicious on this too what about you papa cody what do you think of your chili dog that kid dog real good real good chili dog that's a pink coffee and it's not dripping either he said he said messy no drip he said no dripping it's not not messy and good hey here's what here's what i like a lot of folks you order a cheeseburger the cheese ain't melted they melt the dickens out of the cheese now that's the way my mama used to make it hey i had to come back and show you guys this is just guts so it's the toppings are so good they are not stingy but the bacon at all and you know that's what i like about these little mom-and-pop places and drive-ins like this is they give you lots of bacon if you order on a burger and a lot of fast food joints you know they're they're pretty stingy i have to say i'm not going to name names but they're pretty tomatoes or their tomatoes are a big slice of tomato and your lettuce is nice it's only on there and papa coyote said it was not a sloppy chili dog and it was delicious and that's the two things he loves is not to get a mess on him and a good chili dog and he has fulfilled it hey i can recommend the frosty mug drive-in in hurricane tennessee delicious bacon cheeseburger good portion good price papa coyote said the chili bun was so good what'd you say your tongue bout slap that brain said his tongue almost slapped his brains out when he eat it that's a good chili dog so we can recommend this that was good everything was fresh on it tomato onion lettuce uh good topping they even they even gave you give me that look at here they even give you well no where's that at there it is they even give you name brand condiments man we backed up here so we get a better view of the place and they've had a lot of business while he's eating very popular place and i see why and uh hey folks now let's go for a drive up through the tunnels there from uh here to the tunnels because we always go for drive after we eat it helps our food digest don't we yeah what was you saying uh i asked him could he hold dessert and he said he couldn't hold dessert dude papa coyote said he couldn't handle dessert so that really filled him up because he's a dessert eater and oh yeah folks we got all of that for just a little bit over 15 dollars so good food and a good price and oh yeah friends the the nice very nice young lady right there you see coming out with armful of food who waited on us told us this place had been here over 30 years she thought and i see why hey folks look who we found in harrogate tennessee elwood jake the blues brothers that's right dan aykroyd john belushi's characters created on saturday night live in the late 1970s the blues brothers right here in front of this pharmacy for some odd reason isn't this fantastic you just never know what you might find and look at the detail on this over here on jake better known as john belushi he's got his tattoo if you've seen the movie you remember the tattoo from the movie well hey folks we seen this and we just thought we'd stop and let you guys see elwood and joliet jake the blues brothers and we're on the way back to kentucky from harrogate tennessee the home of lincoln memorial university and also before you get to middlesboro one of our favorite places where is that at mrs cody what's that one of our favorite places before we get into this cumberland gap tennessee i want to see if you remembered an agreement now we're fixing to go through the tunnels here in a minute my claustrophobic wife just loves the tunnels you like picking on me don't you yeah boy that's why i married you i'd be an old man with nobody to pick on about it it's cloudy today now this is where you go to cumberland tennessee or jonesville virginia whichever you feel froggy enough to go to but we're going back through the tunnels into beautiful middlesboro kentucky the crater city the magic city look at the beautiful mountains i could never not appreciate them yeah yeah man baby doll hanging in the back he's got some mufflers and got a barbie doll riding on his tool box i don't see anything now we gotta be careful going through these tunnels because we saw the park police have a couple people pulled over when we come down here so they're watching today no yeah boy yeah uh it might be fine they might have just found our next customer yep yeah we've got mountains on top of us now and the lights on top of you too in here i'll roll the window down so you hear that guy open his mufflers up he may pay for it papa cody's loving that it's true that's loud no sunshine today just to hear his mufflers papa cody said yep you would wouldn't you papa cody yep so have we timed it how long how long does it take to come out now i'm not trying to it's almost a mile it's like nine tenths of a mile i mean it's just a few feet short of a mile at least that's what they tell me i've not measured it you think they've let me measure it wow they make a great video usually when you come out it's beautifully sanctuary but not today it's clearly we will keep videoing through beautiful mills broken yeah the magic city the crater city yeah hey we visited a wonderful uh uh little vendor's mile yeah it's windy day too that's called crater city mountain oh vendra's mall we just visited that yes we did it's in the old uh shopping mall at middlesboro behind yamamoto steakhouse it's a nice little place visited if you get a change it's actually a beautiful day the way those clouds are i hope you're getting a good shot of them oh i see the sky pretty good yes and right here you turn off two the common gap apart they got some historic cabins uh down here and then you go up on the mountain they got an overlook of course we'll do the overlook one day but uh when you do those and you have a monetized channel you have to turn off the monetization because the national park service uh don't like anybody do monetize videos commercial videos in their boundaries it looks like we're sitting here at the red line hey uh back when uh back when it flooded down here last month earlier this month yeah yeah still papa cause he said still here at him he's up there he made it without uh getting attention to the park please he's out of the territory now anyway this this was flooded right here they had to close tunnels and tunnels wasn't flooded but this was flooded and all the downtown and the police officer i spoke to said it came up really fast about four o'clock in the morning those folks but it's down and uh these little towns here in these appalachian mountains that they don't let anything stop them they just keep on fighting and they keep coming back floods natural disasters economic hardship you name it these little towns that's what i love you know what they are what's that they're mountain stream they're mountain strong that's right that's not a joke they're like the people these people in these towns just keep getting no tougher than these folks they get a lot of a lot of bad press and a lot of uh the media yeah that's right yeah hank
