Hailie Deegan Gets Pulled Over in Daytona!

Hey I can drive otherwise and get busted if you have your license you busted going twice I'm fine get in a few inches later hello my wife is not the racetrack I'm headed there right now and a picture of it on my phone that'll work hi Maris Edna Newsom Erna for the race today's got practice in like 30 minutes yeah so sorry I'm sorry some harder here and I said sorry we're on our way to New Smyrna she's supposed to practice in 30 minutes for the race today it can end so she's just in a rush she's going a little fast oh good got 10,000 photos racecars yeah you allowing her to drive an you driving a vehicle you're not permitted to drive second degree misdemeanor so what we're gonna do is swap spots and get back on the speed to go thank you suit you just got a call and ask call healthy armed additional drivers in case you want to get tuned up or whatever you know it's not a big deal I think it's like six bucks a day or something well worth it because it's home bro gets rear-ended by grandma which happens here you're civilly liable for all the damages period no insurance or nothing all right it's not your all's vehicles that works yeah so state of Florida you can't do it actually mistake into it but yeah here you know spanking and probably have to show back up the court whether you come back to Daytona or not a regular basis apparently cars yeah you might that kind of thing all right thank you sure thanks so Haley just got pulled over and we had to swap spots the funny thing is is I was just cool you're lucky was he going dude that was an old man you'd have been toast drive cuz I can speed and get pulled over because I have a license and I can do that and be okay no I'm good pulled over passes a cop 20 it was a lifeguard car is red lifeguard truck with video you make your call here we're gonna let him go ahead of us this time slave guard beach safety so like hotel security it's not it's actually a type of guy I can pay you in jail actually so luckily the cop was cool bottom line is younger guy that was like ran everything let the Haley had her license on her phone it would've been very a little tougher without it 20 miles per hour over they can take it to jail and four points on your license that's gnarly how many points do you usually get a point a ticket oh good point a ticket nothing your insurance goes up crazy when that happens but that was pretty lucky they're off to the track this way the day starts like the whole thing was just gone on to lug fast to change it fell off and you kept driving it for like yeah what do you do a lot of things in the car problem okay go straight up with this person very close very close nope too far too far okay now crank it this way keep cranking keep cranking now creaky boy easy now Craig can you get over here at New Smyrna on Sunday race day for Canon and golly man it was nice at the hotel wasn't rainin come out here it's raining oh it's a supposed to start raining even more at midday and then tonight kind of taper off so they better find some track dryers for later we're gonna race it's not paint racing today they'd probably get bumped till tomorrow which is fine we're here all week most of all these people are staying for the 500 next weekend so we may just be hanging out today doing a lot of Toth social media posts this would be a perfect day for moto actually just a little light rain but car racing these dudes there's you can't raise something anything that's remotely wet so and I heard they don't have much for track dryers here that I guess they just like have some like leaf blowers or something so I don't think it's gonna work but anyhow what we'll see you know Haley there everyone's geared up practice starts at 1:00 and just don't see that happening so looks like gonna be hanging out for a while today [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] a video practice and really good wind up topping off the charts which is the first pane and east practice I've been tested so it was good I'm pumped the car feels really good end up being we mocked up everyone else my if you bring cupcakes in you made cupcakes and so we end up doing really good qualifying next so hopefully we can bust up another fast last time like today but but I'm nervous because we have one set of tires 175 laps everyone ever and 140 laps on these tires so hopefully we don't need a new front foot before the end of the stage we're back live NASCAR live and local I'm your host Adam Lowry Ryan Stevens is well being busy being the voice of New Smyrna Speedway getting his production meeting going and joining me now as a co-host the one and only miss hailey vegan how are you there how much has your mindset played a role and when did you really start recognizing kind of where the mindset mattered for you yeah I think that the mindset of everything my dad's begging to just focus in racing if you want to do this as your career you're going to give them a fear of a life board that's I want to do and I like it and just the mentality of it I'm here I came back that's what I mentality I'm not here to do anything else I'm not here to run home for myself I've scared away that's it yeah that's the driver I respect there's a lot but sometimes how to play the middle ground I can't we going to go out there we're gonna give it a good run yeah we're gonna finish the race we're gonna get top five like no that ain't it Preston was that [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I think Haley's racing starting on the pole so she's gonna be started leading the race tonight [Music] [Music] and freaking day here of rain all day so I think we're gonna try it again tomorrow I think they're racing tomorrow but man we sat here all day she didn't get to drive a little bit so it wasn't a total pace but yeah so it's raining it rained all day off and on got to get in some practice laps heylia was quickest to everyone mocked up pretty much and she was the quickest car the track so they didn't get to qualify so they went on practice time so she starts on the pole which is pretty good first you know first race of the year come down here and be that prepared and I think the late model helped her a lot you know the guys from jet concrete had it ready and dialed so we were able to get that for a few days and I think she's as prepared as she can be that would go in the race tomorrow is gonna be good it won't be raining and actually have a fair shot at it it's not gonna get cut short because there ain't gonna be nothing but a race so I think it's gonna be good for her and more laps the better at this point because there's a long term goal long term goal is to make it to cup one day and be a threat right so this is all just the stepping stones having fun it's all again reins part of the deal right rain it would be a mud race in moto but this is a stock car so nothing's happening going back to the room [Music] you
