okay h3 vr hotdogs horseshoes and hand-grenades if you haven't heard about this before it's uh hmm well I guess you'd call it a bundle of gun focused minigames for VR and virtual gun range other than h3 VR I've only played about one other gun based VR game Pavlov so how did the guns feel good really good actually in comparison to Pavlov you have to be much more precise in your movement which can be a disadvantage when you're trying to reload in stressful situations but it feels pretty great when you get to pull it off there's plenty moments you feel like an action movie star so there's 21 levels we're gonna look at most of these in no particular order and since this game isn't entirely clear about which level you should try first an initial glance pretty much leaves it up to you to decide what you want to play first no unlocking levels here there is a tutorial level that I'd recommend you start with first instructions on how to reload shoot are presented in kind of a salad bar fashion with each individual table containing different styles one of them's gonna have melee weapons and grenades another one's gonna have pistols a magnum revolver and another is just gonna have some rifle shotgun and the other one's gonna have explosives projectiles that kind of stuff there's also steer missile and for the life of me I could not figure out how to shoot it I'd say overall it's a pretty good tutorial level it shows you how to shoot shows you how to reload shows you what kind of weapons the game has to offer and it does a pretty good job of showing you what to do but I wish it started out as the first thing you launched into instead of something that you actually have to select from a list of levels but that is just a nitpick there's also a variety of ranges where you can spawn just about every item in the game and play around with it and test your marksmanship on some preset up targets this really is just a sandbox mode and the amount of fun you're gonna have really depends on how far you can stretch your imagination the physics in this game can be pretty exciting at times and there's more than one way to shoot something you've got a bunch of environments to play around in a sniper range with distant melons and targets set up a typical indoor rain with reactive and movable target an outdoor Arizona style range with targets food and a wide-open space you can play around in a nighttime mode is included with this Arizona map so you can play with fireworks and dragon's breath and yes I will show Feinberg grand finale at the very end of this video don't worry you've got an outdoor range that's based on a pretty famous gun channel here on YouTube and a pretty unique snow globe level with a bunch of presents containing weapons and information about them and finally you got a warehouse in this you have a bunch of explosive barrels of which you can use the game's gravity gun to toss around and have a little mock target practice with this little button panel right here this one tends to be my favorite because explosives really there's also a few arenas where you can spawn sausages animate hotdogs carrying weapons that can shoot you shoot other sausages or just stand still altogether dumb these guys will take more of a roll in other game modes but this is a pretty good introduction to these guys you can test all of your weapons and see how much damage they do in comparison to others and how much body armor they have and how that works now there's one arena where you can fight a Metal Gear an actual Metal Gear I couldn't even seem to damage it with it my anti-materiel rifle and grenade launcher so you're probably gonna have to use the stinger missile if you can figure out how to work this thing there's quite a few joke weapons to you got a couple giant handguns a cardboard Desert Eagle with actual cardboard bullets I actually like that I was a nice little detail American flag minigun but most of the fun you're gonna have is making your own gun with all the attachments in the game I mean you can get crazy I don't think there's a limit to just how much you can put on your gun I just have two lasers on this one but you can have a whole light show and a hand just have rail extensions everywhere you can go crazy stuff on YouTube people have made some crazy things usually I spend about dozens of minutes making my gun only to get bored shooting it within 30 seconds of finishing it but I think that's more of a personal problem that it is with the game but if you do like your gun enough to use it in the game as something more practical or just a good joke weapon you can store it your fault to use later there is also an unholy spawn of the Dark Lord lurking beneath the shadow at the very edge of your senses within this spawn menu something likely no one asked for but was given anyway to wreak havoc and cause chaos and disorder to this planet I'm speaking of course about the sausage love pillow with great effort I attempted to rid this planet of this unholy amalgamation degeneracy to no avail no bombs no purifying fire would rid this monstrosity from this realm so take caution there's a whole West world inspired map called you guessed it worst world you're in a western theme park with animatronics completing puzzles playing horseshoes to win prizes it's not my favorite game Road as it does get repetitive pretty quickly and I'm not too fond of the weapons of the time period but you might get a kick out of it for an hour or two and if procedurally generated mazes are more your thing there is a little murder maze minigame this game has a pretty good narrator - in a game where the voice acting can be questionable at times these country bumpkins and their names I'm pretty sure the dev just asked his friends to voice these characters really but you've got a murderous Cave Johnson type character laughing at you and saying other kooky wacky phrases as you try to figure your way out of this dark and I mean dark maze it is different every time and the puzzles aren't too bad and if zombie apocalypses are more your deal there is a zombie apocalypse map here - its a permadeath game where you complete as much as you can each run by running fetch quests for the town villagers and surviving the rot weenies outside I don't know if it's just me but it took forever for me to realize that I had to click on the icon above the villagers head to talk to them I thought it was like a quest icon in most RPGs and you I don't know click on the character something words the giant red nose I did everything I could think of I even tried to tip my hat like the icon seemed to suggest but there's actually quite a lot to do in this game and there's a lot of things to find it can be pretty nerve-racking since it is perma death and there are multiple rot weenie types so it keeps pretty fresh while you play but like most modern Zombie Survival games there's going to be a lot of walking so much walking or teleporting in my case and the quests aren't anything to write home about either they feel like MMO quests you know the type it's the progression that's fun speaking of progression there's also a progression based target practice range I only just played this for the first time while making this video and I wish I played it earlier there is a lot of scenarios to try and it's a pretty cool currency-based progression system on where the better you perform the more money you get it's a really neat way to try out all the guns in the game while having fun and improving your aim at the same time oh and did I mention there was a math game mode a math game mode where was this edutainment when I was a kid if you've ever played call of duty modern warfare not that one and play the little breaching game in the beginning and wish you can do it in VR well you are in luck because they have it here you can shoot targets or sausages and it's pretty much exactly what you would expect there are some other game modes that just aren't much fun at all there is something called the proto Rena where you stand and shoot blocks and sends diamonds I mean send seriously and you get points all right that's your thing and you go ahead and do that there's also an acrobatic target practice stage which while sounds pretty fun in theory is held back by the lack of player physics I think it's understandable for motion sickness but I wish there was an option to enable it like there is for other locomotion now take and hold my absolute favorite of the game modes it's got all the features I like from the rest of the game a steady but customizable challenge increase a randomization element with leuh drops in a serotonin inducing box opening mechanic between take and hold events and of course lots of opportunity for creative combat there's two maps one is a sci-fi esque building with lots of various hall waise corridors and interesting arenas and one more vertical and in development map which is quite a bit larger feeling and includes two new enemies hair crab zombies and the hair crab or head hair I think that's right they're all like head crabs from halflife but it's hair anyway I prefer the classic Matt personally it's slightly smaller so you can get to the objectives faster and you have a lot less down time and there's a lot less verticality I guess I just don't like climbing in VR I prefer the classic enemies which you have four types you have unarmored armored shielded and heavy armored they all require somewhat different strategies but if you want you can just shoot them till they die it's just easier to shoot their faces every single one the music included isn't horrible but for the complete badass experience I suggest you throw on doom 2016 soundtrack and just have yourself one hell of ball shooting sausages
