[Laughter] ladies and gentlemen Michael Pomano here now I know you're going to think I live under a rock swear to you I canot think of a time where I've seen a video or heard anything from Mato manuso totally true and then the other day I see my friend Rick Bato post this video with the title the world's greatest guitarist question mark it's like Rick what a title so then I just quickly searched it up and I go and I see this short where he talks about evh tremolo picking how did you do the Van Halen tremolo Interruption with your fingers [Applause] yeah and immediately I was like okay I get it I get it um we're going to have to do this so ice cold my friends I went on guitargate bam searched manuso in reacts request page John panti from Bluffton South Carolina says love guitargate love the channel I've not seen anyone me mention Matteo here's a blues clip he's 24y olds from from palmo Italy unbelievable fun fact good side of my family is from palmo Italy um this is ice cold ladies and let's go back and let me point out a couple things that was only a minute 40 so I had to kind of watch it um step by step blues and G 145 G7 C7 G or D7 all right not check little broad Strokes here my friends we're we're not going to get all this but the finger technique is out of control like no string noise you know how hard it is to have no string noise try it it's impossible so this little move you know four five root root so point I'm trying to make here is aiming for the root of [Music] G this little move [Music] that G minor pattern one is your kind of vibe here now this now we're going to C here's your e this is your major third okay major third the so go into the four chord screw so many people up right they're like I just yeah you stay in minor land shoot right wait for that third and then push up [Music] right push it [Music] up you know ends on the G which of course is the fifth of of uh C I just got to mention one thing for the life of me I have no idea why people play with the thing on here that thing I know it's for string noise okay right I know it's like it's all those things but like it covers a whole fret I just don't I don't get it like right there like there's like like it's obviously getting in the way this move killer this this is your major third and root of G this little move going making G G7 very [Music] cool shooting for that there's your root of D7 [Music] [Applause] [Music] then yeah like that I have no idea what that [Music] is now that you [Music] know love a little minor flare on the five chord right root of D is your minor third F but pushing through it like F sharp but this [Music] little minor third to Major here walk up then little flares love it she preposterously [Music] fast let's get this right [Music] here that chromatic bit right there holy crap that [Music] that I [Music] just see he's going to that [Music] c every piece of it I I don't know how to explain what I'm seeing or hearing like this three note per string thing right like and then you're adding right the next note with your with with your finger but then [Music] immediately [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] love the hanging on the nine love that that grab right [Music] there love that quick nasty [Music] slick you know I I really don't know what to say um I just really don't don't know what to say um what is Eugene's trick bag [Music] [Music] here [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] e [Music] [Music] that's absolutely bananas um [Music] [Applause] [Music] great grabs again I have no idea why you have this thing here like you're losing a whole fret but I I got to tell you that the the clarity is really remarkable [Music] um okay what stands out to me is like one uh it's an incredible virtuosity that the the the I'm so glad we got to watch a piece of a live clip right um it's so clean the no string noise with the fingers is such an incredible thing on its own like I can't stress to you enough I've been playing guitar my whole life easily the number one issue that I'm working on more than anything else all the time is having just the notes that we want to play be the ones that are Audible and have no other string noise and and mute correctly his technique is Flawless unbelievable and the different tones he's getting with the tremolo with his fingers and just these big pick strikes like here this just the like with his hands sound phenomenal um and then it's way beyond my pay grade to explain all the little moves in that Blues we watched before I could pick up the chromatic stuff I can obviously pick up on the chord tones that he's targeting and where he's going to different spots of the neck to sound like that chord but I know there's a bunch of implied Jazz stuff in there that like I just I don't fully um get and that's okay um but like that classical piece that might be the most impressive part like again just the clarity with which he's playing it on electric guitar with his fingers is just mindboggling and again I know that that is the main reason why you're using this thing I just don't know how you give up a fret um I'd love to know your answer to that I'm going to leave it there ladies and gentlemen
