[Music] [Applause] [Music] ladies and gentlemen brothers and sisters up won't you prepare to give God a thunderous applaud for his manservant ah who is coming to minister unto us the Word of God all the way from Detroit Michigan perfecting Church ah put your hands together and give God praise up for the spokesman for the King of glory uh Bishop Marvin Winans god bless you Father it is the entrance of thy word that bringeth Light and Life and we pray that the glorious light of the gospel of Jesus Christ which shine bright as always may the people be blessed by the a and never impressed by me cause through the revelation of thy word these night people to see you more clearly to love you more dearly and to follow you more nearly and now Lord let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight O Lord my strength and my Redeemer and every glad heart said amen you may be seated in the presence of the Lord tonight we join with the choruses that have commended our friend and brother Bishop C Wayne Brantley I ain't gonna tell you what the C is but anyway we praise God for the opportunity to be here with his lovely wife Darlene hi darling praise the Lord and we're so happy to see mother Watkins thank you so much for honoring us her husband was so nice to let me come preach at their church years and years ago when they had first gotten in and I I love Bishop Watkins cowboy hats and boots and boy could he say and we just praise God for him we give honor to all of the pastors to Pastor more to all of the elders pastor Barnes to Pastor Lafayette carthon amen amen to all of the ministers to first lady Camille to two British to all of the heirs of dr. Norman L Wagner and to rita Helen she knew I was coming after I don't know why she said I'll be nice would you give God praise for dr. dr. Rita Helen Wagner we praise God - the council person that gave us the award I leaned over to Pastor Carson and told him now I can't talk about Cleveland no more but we praise God for his kindness and his faithfulness not to belabor the time let's go to the book of the Acts of the Apostles the nineteenth chapter the nineteenth chapter and I want to begin reading at the aisle just for the sake of time I'll just go to the tenth verse and read the tenth eleventh and twelfth verse of Acts the nineteenth chapter X the nineteenth chapter it's in the New Testament everyone's standing whether you have a Bible and not as we honor the reading of God's Word if you have acts 19 and 10 indicate by shouting amen here the beginning of the reading of God's Word and this continued by the space of two years so that all they which dwelt in Cleveland I'm sorry which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus both Jews and Greeks and God brought special miracles by the hands of Paul so that from his body were brought under the sick handkerchiefs or aprons the diseases and the diseases departed from them and the evil spirits went out of them so far the text grabbed their neighbor by the little hand and looked them in the eye and repeat our subjects a neighbor time well-spent you may be seated in the presence of the law I will make the darkness night before you what is wrong I'll make it right before you all your battles I will fight be for you and the high place lord I thank you I'll breathe bring down with an everlasting love I love you but with trials deep in sore I'll prove you but there's nothing that can hurt or move you and the high place how many know he'll do it I'll bring down though Satan in his rage would Tavi and in all this cunning waves in Snivy even down tonight old age I'll bury and the high place hallelujah I'll bring down so in the walkest by the way I'll lead thee and all the fatness of the land I'll feed the yes Lord and a mansion in the sky I'll D thee important I'm gonna say that one more time now I I've been preaching long enough longer than I care to tell people because then they'll think I'm old but this is certainly not Showtime at the Apollo I'm not here tonight to prove to anybody that I can preach so you can sit there all you want faithfulness is important it is important because what God is doing is developing your character most people think that the only way that they know that God is with him is if everything works out that's a novice because after you've been in this thing a while you know that God is with you because stuff don't work out things don't go according to plan there has to be an adversarial force something that goes up against what your intent is and so you have to learn how to be faithful not because things are working out but because you got a word from the Lord I feel like preaching now amanda bar circle - Oh co-wrote on when you have a word from the Lord that has to be your motivating factor that has to move you toward the goal I've lived this long enough to know that people that you have depended upon are going to leave you that thought that you have helped are going to disappoint you that people that you have planned things for even in your family are going to find some way to leave when things get tight but you have conviction God is molding your character the furnace of affliction that God is burning off of you those things that you don't need and sometimes the things that you don't need are people that you don't need but the only way to separate is that you have to enter into an exclusive situation where people will not be so proud to follow you in there hallelujah as many friends as you think you may have as many folks that follow you that click on I want you to know friendship is not something that can be asked and can be received by a click you have to understand that friends were born for the day of adversity that if they haven't gone through anything with you then they can't really be your friend when we read our text we understand that the Apostle Paul come into the uh purple coasts of Ephesus and he finds some quote-unquote believers and he and he notices that something is missing from them look at your neighbor and don't say a thing just just look at him you know you know what your Holy Ghost field self that something is missing when when they don't they don't dance when they don't raise their hand in the presence of the Lord being unpromoted encouraged that into the place of God when you enter into his house when you come into his presence there ought to be an automatic praise there ought to be an automatic uncoerced worship that comes out of your mouth but so many people have to wait for somebody to tell them to worship God to put their little hands together to open their mouths but when you understand who God is there is a reciprocal a reciprocal praise in other words you look at somebody say hallelujah they say praise the Lord but you look at him and say hallelujah name look at you like they stand at a new gate then you know something look at your neighbors say something's missing something missing so the Apostle Paul runs into these disciples and figures out that something is missing any asked them have you received the Holy Ghost since can I just talk a little while have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed and the stunning response of these people was we don't even know if there be a hole that goes or not what Chai's myth and they said well we was baptized under John's baptism it may be true aesthetically but it's not true when you understand who John was how in the world can you say that you were baptized under John's baptism when all John did was say the one that's coming after me was preferred before me he said I indeed baptize you with water but the one that's coming after me he's gonna baptize you in the Holy Ghost I don't have nobody tougher than me I said he's gonna baptize you in the Holy Ghost and fire bless the name of the Lord and so I know I know we become so economical we've become so inclusive until we've peeled some things off that God never intended for us to peel off look at your neighbor and say the Holy Ghost is still needed I said the Holy Ghost is still needed it's no way in the world for you to get through here and not have the Holy Ghost and so I move on and so the Apostle Paul says well then y'all need to be baptized and it baptizes them and then they receive the Holy Ghost he lays hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost and trust me this is about 25 years after Pentecost so this means that they receive the same Holy Ghost 25 years later that the original folk the original hundred-and-twenty received in the upper room I want you to understand lord have mercy that if you don't have it like that then you really don't have it I don't know what it is you got but the holiday comes I thought I had somebody here that had the Holy Ghost the Holy Ghost the Holy Ghost and so they received the Holy Ghost the Apostle Paul goes on and he moves into the place of teaching and he's teaching in the most unlikely place he's teaching in the synagogue and he's three months in this place and whenever the word of God is preached there has to be results I said whenever the word of God is preached there has to be results i'ma try that one more time I said whenever the word of God is preached then there has to be results now as he's preaching in this synagogue the Bible says that there were some that believed but there are also others that disputed they challenged what it is the Apostle Paul was saying and because they challenged it because they would not accept it somehow men came in and said this man is speaking heresy this man doesn't know who God is and so they put out a nicer places than this most of us are trying to hold on to things that there should be nothing that you have that you would rather hold on to then preaching the gospel if they put you out let them put you out Jesus was put out and I heard him say that the stone which the builders rejected the Shane has become the head of the corner if you believe that God is with you if you believe that God has anointed you we may give you the left foot of fellowship and tell you that you can't preach here that's all right just preach wherever you are that is what the Apostle Paul did he went to the school of Tyrannus and the Bible says he continued to do that for two years now a lot of us need to understand that we live in a culture where the gospel or preaching the gospel is glorified we see well-dressed men and women we see folk that seem to be eloquent its speech we see folk that know how to entertain or to keep a crowd engaged for an hour but I want you to know preaching is way more than that I want you to understand that if you preach right you gonna stir up some Devils if you if you preach correctly somebody they're gonna be upset and that's the reason the world today is trying to mute the mouth of the preacher they don't lock the preacher to preach what is in the Bible they they want you to find certain things that will allow for certain sins they don't want you I tell folk all the time I preach against sin period I preach against sin because God told us to come out from among them and to be separate I thought I was in a Holiness Church and and and touch not the unclean thing I preach against line I preach against stealing I preach against adultery I preach against fornication I don't hear nobody talking to me because these things are not to be after you've given your life to God so why would I preach against homosexuality I don't understand it why is that sin so different that I can no longer preach against it but the devil is a lie I want you to understand and that sin is still sin you can make up names you can call me homophobic you can call me whatever you want to call me I'm gonna stick with the Word of God if you put me out I'm staying with the Word of God if you say I'm no good if you say I'm crazy if you say I'm in a time warp if you say whatever you wanna say about me I'm gonna stick with the Word of God because the word is not going to fail shake your neighbors hand and say time well-spent you know when you spend time with the Word of God when you spend time you better get with me now because I feel the preacher sneaking up on me I want you to understand that when you spend time in the presence of God when you give God your day and when you give God your time when you when you give God your hands your feet your mouth your mind that people will tell me you you too young to go to church so much you you're too young to live a hole in life but I remember when I was coming up the Bible said remember thy creator in the days of thy youth there's a whole lot of things I don't have to deal with because I didn't wake it up when I was young but when you get saved God will cause you to miss some things I don't hear nobody talking to me I want you to understand God saves your soul but he also saves your life I don't understand why you want to be mixed up in stuff that God shielded you from that God allowed you to be born in the whole of sanctified parents God was shielding you there's some folk that wish they had upbringing that you have and you're standing looking at the world envious talking about they kept me from this thank God they kept me from that there's some things that young people trying to get out of that because their parents didn't pray for them because their parents didn't take them from there dealing with it in their just in their teens I need somebody to give God a hand clap a prick [Applause] thank God you have a pastor thank God you have a mother thank God you have parents that are teaching you the Word of God that won't let you go here and get involved in that that won't let you do this and make it come home and give you rules later on is gonna pay off cuz I've seen some of those folk that had full rein and their lives is messed up but thank God who always keep it thank God that knows how to shield his people look at your neighbor and say time well-spent so it is that after the Apostle Paul has been put out of the synagogue and after he arrives at the school of one tyrannous he continues to preach and teach the Word of God what I've discovered is that you cannot make anybody live safe and that's the wonderful thing about salvation you have to receive I said you have to receive it God is such a gentleman until he will not knock down the door he wants you to understand that the handle is on the inside and that you have to open unto Him now once you open up to him he's gonna put everything out that's not like him but you have to be willing I don't hear nobody talking to me you have to be willing to let God on the inside and this continued by the space of two years so that so that all that were in Asia so that all that were in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus see what you have to understand is that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God i'ma try that one more time I said what you have to understand is that faith comes by hearing and that hearing comes by the Word of God so so the Apostle Paul was under obligation in other words he said I have to say what God has told me I have to be willing to discuss with people that may not necessarily want to hear what I'm talking about that everywhere you go the word is being challenged everywhere you go people are asking is it really true because we live in a non-religious or non believing culture there was a different day in this country where everybody went to church whether it was the right church the wrong church they went to church whether they believed like you would did not believe like you they went to church Sunday was a day that was spent at least the front part of it in the church but now you live in a culture where folk think you're crazy if you go to church all right since y'all gonna sit there and act like I don't know what I'm told man folk in the church think you crazy if you go to church every son we live in a culture where people go to church once every two months and think they're faithful oh look at your neighbor say he talking about you ain't y'all y'all didn't say that y'all didn't say that it's amazing how h4 don't wanna go to church passes y'all to be helping me out I don't understand how H for don't wanna go to church you know you're nobody at the club come on I want you to pray that I press my way to make it that common language only is spoken in the church watch somebody dressed to come to the house of liberty all right it's too loud I was going out he said it was going out I don't want it to go out this one look like it's going out and so it's amazing how people that go to church don't we find a reason not to come to the house I was tired I had to work my outfit didn't work my children was sleeping thank you so much thank you and I got a a man it's amazing how when people that are supposed to be redeemed find reasons not to come to the house of the law and there's so much pressure put on the pastor not only do you tell him what he has to preach and what he cannot preach but then you tell him how long he can bridge thank you so much then you tell him how long he can preach it yeah nobody's saying that when the bride was here and and they went in the double all the time they just they went to work late they did whatever they needed to do because they enjoyed where there were and I want to say to the church in the Lord Jesus that you ought to be tripping about where you are I was glad when they said unto me I said I was glad when they said unto me come let us go into the house of the Lord my soul says yes I want you to understand that I've had many of opportunity to trade God in you think you're the only one that faced a tribulation look at your neighbor and say you're not the only one you think you're the only one that's gone through a trial but I want you to know you are not the only one for the Bible tells us that many are the afflictions lord have mercy I said many are the afflictions of the righteous but the law delivers us out of them all and I want you to know that all is greater than many so no matter what I mean as long as God is in there with me I don't have to be afraid of what I'm going through all of it can be summed up as time well spent nothing to name and repeat our subjects a time well spin as I come to my clothes I want to encourage everyone here tonight my lord you know there's always some religious person that wants to monitor what you do for go there's always somebody that wants to quit or wants to hold you down for what God has done for you or your expression toward God when the woman with the alabaster box broke it open one of the Apostles saying well this was a waste because this could have been spent to feed the poor she's already told the deployer you don't have always with you always and he said don't worry about what she did wahala coming on look at your neighbor say they don't worry about what I do because what I've discovered is that the worship that I the priests that I laud on him the glory that I give him it's time well spent when I was a teenager we'd have it not many years ago when I was a teenager they messed up and they gave me keys to the church and when I would leave work 17 18 years old I'd catch the bus and stop by the church on a Wednesday afternoon wasn't nothing going on but they messed up and they gave me keys and so I would unlock the church and go inside the church sometimes I would go to the organ and play sometimes I would just sit in the presence of the Lord for a half hour hour and then I would just get up like the church back up and continue with my day because being saved was time you're not gonna help me preach other it was time well so you can't make me feel bad about that I've spent on my knees you can't make me feel as if my life passed me away because I was somewhere reading the Word of God you can't make me feel that somehow my life was wasted because I was working in the church father the Bible said that God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love that you have shown unto the Saints that you minister and do minister look at your neighbor and say neighbor is time well spent here's the part that I want to get to you and then I'm through because the Apostle Paul stayed faithful God had to do something I said because he remained faithful God had to do something i'ma say it one more time I wish I had a voice this evening but because Paul remained faithful God had to do something I want you to know that God will be no man's debtor that it's impossible for you to give God something and God not give it back to you whoa I said it's impossible for you to give God your life and God not give you back life abundantly it's impossible for you to give God your song and God not anoint you with more songs because God will be no man's dead and God will give back to you for good measure pressed down shaken together and running over you'll cause it to happen in your life look at your neighbor and say neighbor I have something special that God's gonna do in my life look at your other name and see naman did you hear what I said that I have something special huh that Claude is gonna do in my life huh if you believe it open your mouth and give God a shout of free [Applause] yes oh yes I understand that there are certain laws that are in place but how many that God can supersede that what it is your expectation is hmm I want you to know that God is going to reward those that are faithful those that aren't seen to spend time with him I want you to understand that God is getting ready to do something in the life of those that have been told you wasted your time those that have been told what you believe is not coming to pass I want you to get stronger I want you to increase in faith because the God that I serve it's going to do exactly what he said that he will do and what special huh look at the name and say special huh my expectation is that God is going to do something if that is going to Musa don't serve a run to the meal average God is holy to the special huh say I'm sorry [Applause] I want you to understand God wrought special miracles by the hand up all I'm saying one more time that God rock special miracles by the hand of Paul we're not talking about Peter we're talking about Paul we're not talking about John James Bartholomew we're talking about John about Paul well look at your name and say neighbor huh whatever your name is I want you to consider sell yourself Paul or Paul letter if you've been spending time before God God is getting ready to work special lord have mercy God is getting ready to do the extraordinary huh it's getting ready to use your hands huh to heal the sick to raise the dead to cast the devil out ah it's getting ready to show that the time that you spent with him was well spit look at your neighbor and say neighbor owes me something huh God it's gonna prove that he's with me God it's gonna show that I've been walking with him huh God it's gonna let everybody around me know that I am annoying it shake your neighbors hair now and say neighbor huh get ready here for the special [Applause] Oh hold on yes sir you can sit there if you want to but I want something special huh I want something to cut above huh I want something a little extra huh I wanna upgrade I want something that God hasn't done in the last 10 years I wanted to be on my life yes sir I feel like preaching now huh I said is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful huh but in his law doth he meditate day and night look at your neighbor and say neighbor her time well spent while you was playing golf I was reading my work while you were at the theater huh I was on my knees while you was doing this that and the other huh I sealed away and got with God and I God is gonna do something special huh I was a have somebody here huh that recognize the special miracle is on its way throw your head back give God a shout of praise [Applause] Wow everybody's standing till you feel [Music] [Applause] [Music] we cannot do the mundane and expect special everybody grab the hand of the person next to you reach across the aisle everybody touching about a year ago your so ago my youngest sister called me with while she had saw something that I had sung I guess it was on YouTube or whatever it was on I don't know she called me she said Marvin you you can really say matters is coming from our system what are you talking about when you started singing whatever was she it's long it just changed everything and I looked at and I well I didn't look at I looked at the phone and I said well Debbie I promised God that I would only sing for him I've had opportunity to sing for whoever whenever for whatever but I made a promise to God that I only would allow his songs to be my song I said so he has to do something special are you listening to me when you make God the center when you make god the only reason when you give him more than you give anyone else he has to do something special by Baba see listen I listen to myself saying some time alright nothing really special about my voice but somehow God because he's all I want it's so important to make him the focus if you're faithful to him then you have the right to expect special father in the name of Jesus I want you to forgive us for mediocre attitude when it comes to you we may not all have the same talent we don't all have the same gift but god we've slacked we haven't given you our all some of us we make you us afterthought aside thought but father if we meditate on your day and night then you're gonna make us like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth his fruit in his season our leaf shall not wither and whatsoever we do is going to prosper lift the hand that you're holding lifted up lifted up father lifted up high we present these thy people their God you attached it in a circuit Oh I buy in a special way confirm your word let signs and wonders and miracles in their personal life and in the life of this church become in place let the special be ordinary and will give you praise when I count to three when I count to three I feel the presence of the Lord I want you to go out to at least five people and tell them expect the special and when you finish with that fifth person I want you to open your mouth and give God a shout of praise as you receive the special one two three go to five people tell them expect the special don't look for their ordinary expect the special [Music] hi-hi-hi can embrace their hands give a prize from a spatula that's coming in your life the special Mata ba ba ba si not the ordinary but the special that's coming in your life thank you special miracles special circumstances special delivery system special blessings [Music] yeah how about their cotton promotion oh it's gonna happen I said it's gonna happen expect the special yes yeah yeah expect the special we just finished at perfecting a time of consecration fasting in prayer 6:00 a.m. 12:00 noon 7 o'clock in the evening and I've seen whilst Ross and will run after you huh God it's gonna work the special in your life all you gotta do is run after him look at your neighbor and say neighbor I'm going to my seat with this one but expect the special [Music] [Music] growing up in Detroit it wasn't called Kmart it was just chriskiss and when you got inside the store after you were in the store they would put on a blue light and they call it the blue light special in other words you had a certain amount of time to buy certain amount of items because even though it was a discount store there was a special going in the store and I just dropped my sign to say you've been holding up the light but God is going on a special huh I need somebody to believe it to give God a shout of praise that the specialism [Applause] [Music] Hey I gotta quit Richard tell your neighbor haul down the special is here [Music] I know I know you get mail every day but there's something that makes you happy a lot of special delivery I need some money to shake somebody's head and tell them I'm getting ready to dance because I got a special delivery [Music] I got a special [Music] god bless you a bridge too long some of your children are coming back by way of special delivery some of your friends are coming back by way of special delivery you've been waiting on the blessing huh but God it's gonna give it my way somebody hallow special please be seated please please be seated you
