Guangzhou International Auto Show, China

[Music] welcome to the 18th guangzhou international auto show so everyone on front is uh checking their their uh health codes and updating them and getting ready to go inside yeah they're really strict on the health codes man they're strict on your mask wearing everything very very strict now it's time for the temperature check but this is the the second barrier where you have to buy a ticket now the first barrier was health second barrier is actual entrance into the end of the building itself okay so all of that scan your face passport checking qr codes health checks triple check we're finally in the crowds outside trying to get in are nuts this should be pretty cool now a couple weeks ago i went to the zhongshan auto show you can watch that video here if you like but it was very small and very limited this one is one of the largest auto shows in the world with almost a thousand cars on display and i can't wait so a lot of the cars that were not available for me to show you in that video i'm gonna be able to show you today this is gonna be a long video oh yeah oh yeah much much bigger dare i say this is bigger than the one in los angeles first up is hyundai look at this that is so cool vr toys [Music] what is that look at this hyundai this is insane look at the angles on this that's nuts this is the palisade yeah this they have this in america this is big yeah look at this grill though very very interesting girl the prophecy this one has doors the rear doors are suicide so they open like this wow the mercedes booth is enormous oh my god it's like half the it's huge all right so this is a leash young brand uh i've never heard of it never seen it before it's my first time so it looks like this brand only has one model right now it's a big suv but they've got the entire dash is one giant lcd screen everything in here feels very solid very nice materials it's connecting the internet look at that and look all the people it's got sensors so it shows people and cars all in front of you wireless charging right here for your phone very ergonomic beautiful very nicely done hello here we are beijing the beijing x7 i looked at this one and the last one not bad a couple other models then you have biot group biok is very famous for that this is of course their off-roader i've done videos about this in the past it hasn't changed much in the latest round it's all pretty much the same but they are really cool little vehicles [Music] i said this before the interior of this one is nicer than the jeeps it's even the the removable top is like a soft touch unlike the jeans it just feels a little bit more premium in here and i really like the the matte blue paint on this that's really pretty here's one all decked out off-roading very cool [Music] so for this one the decked out one 300 000 rv this is the two-door one i actually prefer the two-door one that's good looking [Music] and this is their tiny one the bj30 uh personally i think it's a little goofy looking it's not really my style i like the other ones better so havel has a version of this too and i like a little bit better boy there's too many people in here so the vv six oh yeah look at this [Music] i love this this is beautiful i love this one this is the vv7 from way it's a cousin to the havel but a lot more sporty a little bit more expensive too but as you can see it's kind of like a higher up riding sports car the vv5 just a lot smaller [Music] yeah it's essentially the same thing so bmw we all know bmw of course they're all the same throughout the world really now that is an m car van conversions let's take a look at [Music] these wow that's luxury [Music] you can tell this is a rich man's van and especially it's designed for golf [Music] so the xiaopong a lot of people very interested in this one this is the small little suv crossover a lot of people here excuse me [Music] but check out this one check out this yellow one [Music] everyone's always asking me about the teslas and how they're doing here tesla has a lot of competition in china [Music] considering all the noise and the music outside this is really quiet in here just explore china all of china and something like that the van life live the van life in chinese countryside yeah wow look at that one [Music] got a little work table look at this it's a two-story camper wow [Music] so this is the maxis pickup truck as i've been saying pickup truck culture in china is about to explode [Music] many many car companies as the laws change in the big cities are going to start producing these mini trucks and they're going to be very very popular this is the maxis check this out inside fairly standard plastic materials inside but nice design very comfortable but then like i said the mini truck culture is going to be huge in china that is the future [Music] so this is the belgium display if you recall from my buying a used car video i almost bought a baljoon about june a couple years old i'm not exactly sure what it's doing but it's doing something making a lot of electric cars these days look at this tiny little thing it's a tiny little e-car [Music] interesting no center console completely open wow you know i was able to climb into the back of this thing very very easily it's a lot more spacious in here than it [Music] seems [Music] [Music] [Music] mg as you know has like a a british heritage but is actually owned by a chinese company now [Music] so leap motor okay it looks like an electric cars so they're all electric look at this it's this tiny little electric sports car this looks really cool i gotta sit in it okay wow this thing is small 120 000 yeah yeah pretty simple there's not much to this i mean just a screen i guess everything is in here get temperature turn on the bluetooth turn on the ac okay yeah very intuitive home screen navigation home maps everything yeah what a great little city car for 120 000 rmb it's got a huge range more than my truck this is their little suv crossover here they won't let us go inside this one [Music] i'm pretty impressed with this little tiny oh sports car electric car that's kind of cool boy ford and lincoln have a lot of marketing people and every time you walk on they pounce on you right away so i'm happy to see them here everyone's talking about this brand this is a very big up-and-coming youth friend [Music] so the great thing about these is they got these wonderful lights here you see that over there that's the nsx so i really like the julies i think they're really good cars i'm a fan of them oh see more military trucks these are the gili electric cars this one here yeah i really like this all-wheel drive i don't like the color but yeah i saw this one this one's got that funky uh interior piece right here that i'm not quite sure about what do you think about this so they get something wrong yeah it kind of looks funky right there right needed to make a great job yeah kind of like it doesn't fit right but i mean at first glance it looks bad but i think i mean the rest of this car is so nice and well put together i feel like i can overlook this but at first glance this is what draws your eye to it you're wondering is that correct this is the jmc pickup truck i think this is a very handsome looking pickup truck oh yeah now that's a that's a that looks like a sports car not a pickup truck interior [Music] but you can definitely tell that the pickup truck models are no longer just for work they are becoming everyday commuter cars for the chinese market and i've been saying it for a long time this is going to be huge in china [Music] all right so i see dongfong over there but this one is [Music] see funky oh these are electric okay everything's electric these days [Music] so the defender got the china design car of the year all right long line to get inside this thing [Music] i know this one what's this this is a new jaguar electric car the i-pace oh the i-pace okay okay i know this one [Music] oh no yeah it doesn't feel like it's high quality it feels like yeah it feels like a very cheap plastic so i'm not that impressed it's very very cheap plastic in here everywhere the models are pretty but look at this look how angular that wow that is sexy though this is cars he's like he's happy guy right of course neil they've got a new model a new sports car model over here that i've been dying to check out yep this looks pretty awesome wow wow look at that that is insane look how wide it is you can't drive this on the road this thing is way too wide this thing is huge the lc 500a hybrid so i didn't know lexus had a minivan but they have a minivan now austin martin lamborghini this suv i've seen around so the tesla display here is actually kind of small surprisingly but it's very very busy there's a lot of interest especially in the model x [Music] boy it's very minimal in here i mean the only thing in here is the screen i mean that's it of course this is the one that everyone loves with the gold wing doors yeah hi-fi i don't know this brand you can see this one also has this one also has these doors they come up on the ceiling and then out like that that's like suicide doors that's very odd look at these doors the the b pillar is a full b pillar and you get these suicide doors that come out and then the roof opens like that that's very odd with a third row c that is a trip they won't let me sit in it because you have to like book a reservation for it i guess but it's fascinating look at this this is insane i haven't seen anything like this there's a full tv screen in the dash right there wow amazing [Music] enough a lot of these booths are van conversions they seem to be quite a popular thing you know converting mercedes gmc vans into you know luxury limousine type stuff welt meister it's an interesting name that's the new phantom wow that's amazing gac auto group's one of the largest automakers in the world they've got a couple of brands that are worth noting we're going to go through here they've got an entire pavilion just for themselves oh you think of this one so this design feature here where the light moves in that's strange looking i'm not sure if i can get used to that look at this thing this is a gac gs4 coupe i've talked about the gs4s before as the suv this is the coupe model with the sloping back end look at this this is nice i like this icing i really like this one [Music] about twenty thousand dollars i know right it's like it's hidden not very much space in the back look at this funky looking what ride by yourself i don't know but it's i don't think i like it it looks strange it's ugly right [Music] wow look at it's just strange there's like four different kinds of seats in here look the driver's seat the passenger seat even the back seat it's all different of course gac is so big because they have a lot of partnerships with foreign companies such as toyota honda um mitsubishi and jeep so we can actually look at the jeeps here which are i believe they're starting to be built in shanghai now guanxi way lai double 07. [Music] i don't know this one double07 sport [Music] it looks like a neo [Music] yeah it looks like a neo even with like the little guy at the top kind of like this dash layout this is kind of interesting 360 degree but look it's just like neon pink classical so how x8 yeah again all of these kind of look the same after a while you know [Music] oh this is like the j-a-c [Music] i've seen these before they sell these in like the philippines and a couple other markets i would love to have something like this to tow yeah so you go camping right i've done a video on the j tours along with the cherries you can watch that video here if you'd like this is uh chung on and chung is got some interesting designs lately they've got a new little mini suv that's very very popular i sat in it in zhongshan it's a little small for my taste but i really like the design of it i think it's really sexy i think this one is really nice i love this one but it's a little too small this one's bigger so this is the unique and this is the bigger version of the smaller one and so i'm excited to see this one wow so this one's not out yet but when it comes out to be about 150 000 rv that's a great price for them chinese have incredible designs much more innovative than anything coming out of america or even japan and korea that's a buick so gray one motors have you can see pickup trucks that's a big truck too man see you can put bikes on the back this is this is pretty awesome look at the bike in the back of this thing that's that's awesome that is really cool i want that with solar panels oh look at this oh it's a little they call this an overlander [Music] we got a fridge stove nice but you you wouldn't drive this to work every day would you the interior this is great yeah it even says luxury on the seat cute little car [Music] look at this with the rooftop tent hello bite your hand off oh they've got the new corvette i have to look at the ah the new mid engine corvette oh i'm so excited to see this wow lens on that camera wow nissan's display is quite impressive and nissan's one of those companies that's like kind of on the brink so they've been revamping they're re they're introducing a ton of new vehicles within the next couple of months really next couple years and it's great to see nissan making strides to come back boy the nissan display is giant there are a lot of nissans here well look at this you can actually get in a nissan car and drive it up on a trail with waterfalls all the way around and come back that's pretty cool so this is nuts nissan has two roads they've got one here and i got one back there for the suvs okay we are done at the guangzhou international auto show we spent many many hours it is so big on two floors we're tired it's a lot of why you you come with sports shoes i see you know people in high heels trying to walk around this place it's insane we saw a lot of interesting cars a lot of great designs i gotta say chinese designs are so much more innovative than whatever's coming out of germany america korea japan it's very impressive quality wise again i think that some of these chinese brands are going to shock the world especially with their ev cars i did sit in the tesla the tesla seemed pretty good quality to me but some of these electric cars coming out of china now are very very impressive especially the neo the xiaopang something to keep in mind the nissan display is probably one of the most incredible displays for an auto show i've ever seen i'm hoping that they're going to be able to turn it around and looks like they're investing a lot of money in that endeavor so let's see how they do but we're tired we're done and it's time to go take some rest and have a stretch thanks all for joining me [Music] [Music] you
