finally made it to grim forge this entire stream is going to be focused on grim forge and grim forge alone so when we finish grimforge the stream is over and i will keep streaming until we finish it i think i don't know if that'll actually prove to be true though if this ends up being like eight hours i'll probably quit a little bit early thanks for stopping in guys happy saturday hope you guys are i'll spend like a half hour trying to find something that pops aponym says bought baldur's gate through yesterday and i've completed character creation after two hours it's so hard now try playing pathfinder um it'll take you like eight hours to create a character hello amy's bought it yesterday um which one to select i would start off on vulcan and if you're having problems with vulcan then then switch over to dx11 now just keep in mind that this patch six has brought almost everybody frame rate drops um so you're not alone if you're if you're having kind of a rough uh if you're having a pretty low fps i'm having it myself and i've never really had that before in this game so hopefully they put out a uh hotfix sometime in the near future dark and thanks for the 5 dono yeah we're only like uh 70 80 subs away from 70k tonight no celebration necessary for 70k the next celebration will be 100k the next milestone but thank you guys for helping me get here it's been a long journey on the tavern a little bit hire some uh some 3d animators and modelers and just get a crazy tavern experience [Music] playing more bg3 my voice is actually feeling okay today um it's a little bit deeper than normal and when my voice starts getting deeper and deeper it means that it's starting to whittle away a little bit but i feel decent it doesn't hurt to talk so i'm fine what's up back oel thanks but they've been kind of dead in terms of like you know i'm grinding boring quests and chat really isn't having that much fun it's great to get back to some some amped up streams all right without further ado let's head to grim forge and explore the new content brendan i'm gonna apologize ahead once again guys if i miss more comments than usual today because i'm gonna try to focus a little bit on the content in front of me typically i focus on the game about thirty percent thirty percent on the game we're going to try to amp that up to about fifty percent today so i can really take in these quests in this new content so thank you guys for hitting that thumbs up button and boosting that stream up in the algorithm i appreciate you guys who's your favorite playable character in baldur's gate three [Music] laiselle is probably up there because i'm very interested in the giff yankee culture and going to the crush so right now i'll say laizelle but it's really hard to choose a starion story with kazador is really starting to make me really interested and then of course gal with uh the mother of magic is is going to be quite interesting also okay uh spoiler alert we are going to grim forge right now i've already played um up to level four for you guys that haven't been hanging out for the streams and we are at the end of early access but it is no longer the end let's uh let's go see what's up now i did do this at the end of the last stream but i decided to come back a little bit um and start fresh because i wasn't really paying attention so right now we have a couple quests unfortunately unfortunately i killed glut or i didn't oh [ __ ] all right this is a good time to hold on before the stream gets started my headphones are dying um got glot was killed damn i can't talk while trying to do this you should do multiplayer with friends i will do that at some point for sure so glut died in the dwergar fight and i can't revive him even though you're supposed to be able to use a scroll on him so i tried pushing him off the ledge and i pushed his body down to here and i still cannot um use a revive if i scroll on him so unfortunately we can't do the glock quest what i'm going to do is after grim forge i'm probably gonna reload back to an earlier save point when glut was actually alive and then just handle that situation a little bit differently yo joe spinato thanks so much for the channel membership we had like 18 or 19 channel memberships um over the past like two days or something which is just unheard of on this channel so thank you guys so much welcome thank you joe i will give this one more last try yeah so if you guys notice um we can't actually target him and if i go to the portrait where it does say that revivify can bring it back to life um it cancels the animation so unfortunately i'm gonna have to reload an earlier save point after we explore grim forge to see how how glut actually wants to take over the other sovereign of in the beginning make sure we know what we're doing here we're gonna investigate the forge to make a new weapon apparently we're gonna kill near i think for the sovereign and also save the deep gnomes i think those are our three quests that we have right now all this amazing magical technology and they don't have iphones can you believe it i'll be plowed sideways oh we've got a welcoming party is the most likely to make an appearance that's what i feel like but uh right now i'm just i'm just planning on the players handbook subclasses and everything else is gonna be gonna be extra i really the forge we need to place a mold and mithril ore in their respective chambers then pull the lever so while we're here i assume we have to find mithril ore in a mold so keep an eye out for that guys we learned that adamantine forge is hidden deep within the underdark beautiful and then we also have save the grim forge gnomes fola artola i can't remember how it's pronounced the gnome of the iron hand iron hand clan which is from baldur's gate as she told us asked us to help her kin duergar are holding them captive all right i think we're gonna be uh it's funny because i was evil the entire playthrough and now that we get to grim forge i'm gonna be a good guy so that's progress oh we can't loot anything because this isn't our place let me talk to her again real fast what are you looking at move see i feel like i love the cinematics in this game but i do feel like that's not necessary for a cinematic i feel like there might be a little bit of wasted resources in time on giving a cinematic for that when she could simply just say what are you looking at move you know what i mean instead of the cinematics and voice acting although i respect it overall i'm very happy with the way larian is handling everything but still you know what i mean i didn't need a i didn't need to go into like a kind of a semi load screen into the cinematic for her to just tell me that you guys agree is that just me all right we're gonna maybe i can loot this nobody's looking i'm gonna take the hammer anyways not a blacksmith hammer but all right before we go up let's just go down this way how big is grimforge we're gonna find out it seems to be pretty big last night i just ran into it a little bit and we didn't even get nearly we didn't nearly even see the entire map so don't like strangers here but absolute must have took you in this guy looks like a badass damn i want to look like that guy dwarves are badass best race out there where did the drow come from sniffing around easy marks at wolves and they both look the same now um somebody told me today um shout out to forrest walker i don't think he's watching now that the druid shape um the wild shape wolves look a little bit different so getting about 30 mid 30 to 40 fps okay that's doable for the stream right now man i wish i had speak with animals let me see if i have a speak with animal scroll i don't even know if i can use it with any of these classes i don't know how larian does that no i don't we skipped a lot of content to get here all right let's just uh talk to one and see what happens wow that's better off with shadow heart because of her wisdom but let's do it i think i have an eight wisdom maybe i have ten we can do it with guidance we don't need to use tides of chaos oh my god larian after animals they appear to be in conflict the largest spider that gives me success wait did that just give me success i wasn't paying attention right there i rolled the 10 and had a bonus of 1 d4 so make a great and polished final product i trust them too man there's not many companies that i really trust but right now i trust larry and hopefully they can maintain that over the course of the next however many years that they're a company be awesome if they did another another dos game or even another baldur's gate i'm really hoping for a dlc with this game i really am i think it'd be so cool i really am i don't know if they'll actually do it or not but um i like this game better than pathfinder yes but but that's not a smash on pathfinder i am enjoying wrath of the righteous a lot um it has seems to have a decent amount of problems with it i think it might have been rushed a little bit but overall i'm enjoying pathfinder two very different games from each other um baldur's gate three is with now and it gives them a lot more importance because of their strength like before i was shoving i don't know about minotaurs but i was shoving people left and right with like um astaryan and gal and it didn't feel right it was definitely too uh too cheesy of a mechanic that you could do in every single fight now it's like i got laizelle she's meant to be that strong frontline fighter and she can push well it's pretty awesome but uh also i gotta be careful that this guy doesn't push me into the lake so let me move in front of this damn he still got his weapon let me get through this fight karen other problem is that higher 5e levels are not in ea pathfinder has a lot more buffs and stuff than 5v i personally don't like it yeah each to their own um like i said i like both games but there are people that um that definitely think that pathfinder has far too much going on in terms of your buffing for like five minutes before a combat encounter begins and there's so many things to think about but a lot of people really enjoy that build diversity is insane in pathfinder yes it is definitely one of its strengths for sure pathfinder has more depth in terms of character builds yes does that mean that it's better not necessarily depends thank you carly thanks hurting the thumbs up guys i appreciate it for me it's the other way around bg3s lack in depth and mechanics compared to pathfinder it's probably related to bg3 being ea so yeah i feel you uh bg3 will never have as much depth as the pathfinder mechanics um pathfinder is not fifth edition fifth edition is a lot more simple in terms of mechanics um but i still think it's not simple most crpgs are not simple at their core but yeah i don't think you're ever going to get that um that complex in mechanics with baldur's gate 3 even in the full release but larian is adding a lot of stuff like these weapon attacks and more player agency and what we can do the environment and stuff so michael says i think they games with different development scopes it's really hard to compare the two pathfinder they made in two years balder's gate is going to be like a six plus year develop six plus year development cycle um like i said it doesn't make one game better than the other but it's kind of hard to compare things uh in my opinion to feast in char's name and then spill blood in char's name i guess i'm picking budgets different employees um i respect them both i'm happy to have uh happy to have a lot of companies making crpgs now and bringing back the old genre i love pathfinder but i think baldur's gate three would be better for a few points if you like cinematics and more character development fate says i can't decide what to do now writing on my book drawing playing a game ah the agony they all sound like fun choices fate whatever you choose i think you'll be happy with rick says i really like wrath of the righteous much better than king maker but i'll take bg3 over them in a heartbeat do you think bg3 gets the attention it deserves as of right now yes i do um it has a lot of hype and attention for an early access game we're not even close to release so i think it does yeah larian's for it because i never really farmed gold in this game i haven't made much use of the vendors apart from my first playthrough is after you like play through once or twice like the game isn't nearly as challenging so i don't feel the need to need to try to save up gold to get weapons that have like an extra plus one or something like that so i can't really answer that question um but i can answer it risen from dirt and debris featuring an ancient city shown from the stone by disciples of shah later abandoned untold centuries later a new tribe revives it fresh walls fresh sculptures until a great hell beast charges through toppling the walls and crushing the people we got some avernus action going on here that explains the infernal play i found perhaps you might have usually but my work has classes done 100 yep then transfer exactly that's the way to do it the problem is when you're young you want to go to the university to say you go there your friends are going there and you just can't miss out and you don't feel like community college is fun that's the feeling that a lot of people think so first of all you don't even need college there's a [ __ ] ton of jobs that don't require an education that can pay a ton of money man especially the blue collar jobs i love jobs like that i love jobs that are require hard labor work i just love it it feels fulfilling to be out there and the environment getting things built and things those are great jobs undervalued in in society [Music] undervalued when you're a kid at least when i was a kid you grew up i didn't grow up thinking this but the general idea was you know construction workers and people that do those types of jobs they're just not smart enough to go to college well the truth is a lot of them are probably doing better think we have a patch that's not optimized well some scenes are okay but even the good scenes like i'm only getting like 30 to 40 sometimes in the 50 which is still pretty low it's just a it's just a bad patch launch in terms of optimization i'm sure that a lot of it will be fixed with a hotfix um they give us a huge graphical update so that's obviously part of the uh part of the problem what's the strongest build you ever made you know i would say the hunter ranger that dual wields but they uh it's not as good anymore as more patches came out but i'm not sure i think the druid the sorcerer is freaking powerful the druid is really hard to beat a moon druid with all the wild shapes you just have like infinite health when you're playing it so the druid's definitely up there in terms of the most op class and the sorcerer man it's been pretty good so far with the metamagic i think i'll go druid moon druids the most op right now that's what i'm going to say not everybody will agree with me but try killing the moon druid you can't you can't and they have all those spells it's ridiculous all right let's go talk to sovereign we're going to run it in and enjoy this run of victory coming from grim forge we killed the boss we killed the dwara guard we saved the gnomes we took near's head and we're going to turn in this quest with confidence sorkin 5v is always strong i'll tell you what the sorcerer is definitely the most powerful class hands down up to level three and then after that i don't know maybe it'd be debatable but having 3d8 thunder at level 1 is just ridiculous with chromatic orb level one and two not that you last that long uh at those levels but all right let me save this as spa because this is a pretty big quest turning right here a spawn sure it's good enough this is a pretty big quest turning how you doing clacker i could yes you can fast as long as you get the waypoints you can fast travel to many places in this game but only at the waypoints you can't fast travel wherever you want as long as there's a waypoint there i need a quick word please [Music] wherever you go only listen and you may hear it holy [ __ ] oh my god do you think wild mage is more powerful than draconic no it's probably less powerful in early access because your conic you get the boost in ac and you get the higher armor class and you get the extra spell but in terms of the draconic bloodline the reason why i didn't play it at first despite the scales looking good because you don't really see the benefits until level you don't see the spell benefits until level six when you get that charisma boost on wild mage we get the wild magic surges right away when playing so i thought it'd be more entertaining and fun to play but no the draconic bloodline is super powerful um the the wild mage is powerful too with tides of chaos and stuff but it was more of a more of a fun choice to play the wild mage for me in early access for the first playthrough of sorcerer all right sovereign spa rewarded us for delivering near's head you receive envoy envoy's amulet a fleshy amulet shape of the sovereign spa's own hand wherever the bearer goes so does the mic in its circle the wearer of this item gains voice of the circle [Music] [Music] grant and ally a plus two bonus on persuasion checks okay that's it's pretty powerful to have a passive item like that and be able to do that as you guys can see on my hot bar i have the necklace i'm sure they'll give it a different let's try it out let's see what it does to oh damn it's pretty crazy all right guys let's check the
