hey guys welcome back so I wanted to share with you guys how our grocery shopping routine has changed also what we meal prepped for the week so I hope you guys enjoyed today's video please go to a thumbs up if you do and consider subscribing before you go first thing that has definitely changed is we don't go grocery shopping as a family anymore and I am so bummed I totally miss it I cannot wait until we start doing it again right now my husband is the only one that goes grocery shopping I gave him a list and then when he comes home we disinfect everything together so as you guys can see I am wearing some disposable gloves and I'm using disinfecting wipes to clean everything anything that comes in a prepackaged container gets wiped down with the white and then I do have a little section off by the sink where I put down a clean towel and this is where I put everything that has been disinfected and then my husband will put all of the disaffected stuff away also don't mind that giant pox in the middle of our kitchen we actually have a new oven that's getting installed and it was supposed to arrive on this day so the process of cleaning the produce is pretty much still the same but we have changed a few things the first thing you guys will notice is that I am wearing gloves to clean everything either way by this point my husband has already put away all of the other groceries so we have a clear counter space with a brand new towel so as I'm rinsing them I'm putting them on the towel and my husband is drying everything I'm he also makes sure to remove all the stickers and then he will place them in their bowls but yeah I basically do this wash for everything including avocados bananas and even though we don't actually eat the skin of a banana or avocado it's gonna go in the same bowls as other fruits so that's why we like to disinfect it really well also our two-year-old likes to put everything in his mouth so if he can reach it he will put in his mouth so that's also another reason why we just go ahead and disinfect everything so next I do whatever meal prepping for the week this week we're gonna focus on breakfast items so I'm gonna be making egg bites and also some oatmeal muffins what I like about these egg bites is that it's a perfect way to speak and veggies I'm actually gonna add some bacon in mine but feel free to use turkey bacon or keep it completely meatless if you want so I'm putting everything in the blender I'm starting off by adding some half-and-half you can also use just milk or just cream if you like and then I'm adding my eggs I will have the exact measurements for everything down below I'm also adding a little bit of salt my cauliflower my cheese I'm using cheddar a white and a yellow cheddar and then I'm gonna blend everything until it's nice and smooth and this is going to be the trick to sneaking those veggies in without anybody noticing because that cauliflower blends right into the egg mixture I also like the consistency it gives it they heat up really nicely then I'm taking a muffin tin I'm just adding some ghee to it so that the eggs don't stick I add my bacon and just a little bit of extra cheese and then I'm gonna add my egg mixture I like the additional cheese because it adds a nice little crust on the outside of the egg which is how my husband prefers the egg whites well I can never get it perfectly right you guys still I ended up not having quite enough eggs so I just added a regular egg to one of the tins and then I cooked it at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes [Music] and now while that was cooking I went ahead and started on the second dish but first I wanted to show you guys a really cool trick to getting your blender clean this is especially helpful if you're doing a lot of meal prepping where you need the blender just fill it up with really hot water a little bit of soap and put it on high speed for about 10 seconds all of the food residue is going to come right off just give it a good rinse and you're good to go for the next recipe so the next meal prep item is an oatmeal Apple Cinnamon muffin and these are so good you guys are so easy to make I am gonna be using steel-cut oats so I need it to soften those oats first so I went ahead and let those soak for about thirty minutes with some milk and you do not want to skip this part if you're using steel cut out this is going to make all the difference in the world if you're using regular oats you can totally skip this step I went ahead and peeled my apples and I chopped them up I also add a little bit of lemon juice so that they wouldn't Brown and next I went ahead and mix all of the dry ingredients I started by adding some flour brown sugar cinnamon baking powder baking soda and a little bit of salt then I went ahead and started working on the crumble and this part is totally optional but I definitely recommend it it gives it that like apple pie type of feeling or type of taste to it and it's so easy you guys all it is is flour brown sugar and cinnamon and then we're just gonna add cold butter to it and start kind of mixing it with your fingers there is no way around this so just make sure you have really dry hands this is how you're gonna get the best consistency you're just gonna mix that until it starts looking like wet sand right now our oats have been soaking in that milk should be nice and soft so to it we're gonna go ahead and add one egg you want to make sure to whisk the egg before you add it we're also gonna add some vanilla extract I mixed it and then I added some ghee to it you can use butter if you want to also use any type of cooking oil personally I think he gives it a really nice rich flavor now that all of our ingredients are mixed we're gonna start adding the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and I learned that you have to do this slowly I used to just dump all of the Mitzvahed I also learned the hard way that you should not overmix us as soon as you see that all the wet and dry ingredients have come together stop mixing so I went ahead and added some ghee to my muffin pan so that none of it would stick you can definitely use liners if you prefer I really think about it I'm totally gonna get some liners because it's been baking so much that would just make life so much easier so I went ahead and added all of my mixture to each 10 and then I topped it with the apples and then I topped the apples with that crumble that we made you want to make sure to press it all down so it kind of combines with that mixture a little bit otherwise the crumble could separate by now our egg whites are done so I went ahead and remove those from the oven set them aside to cool and then put my muffins in the oven and I baked those at 375 degrees for about 35 minutes while those are baking I went ahead and started putting away my advice I find that these will state that in the fridge up to five days and they're super easy to reheat as I made these to where the crust is a little bit crispy I love reheating these in the airfryer for like five minutes at 400 degrees and they just come out so good that you inside will be so soft but then the outside has a little bit of that crisp and let me tell you guys these were a hit with Sebastian so if you cannot get your two-year-old to eat edg's make these and the last thing left to do is to clean up everything from the meal prep they went ahead and put all of the food away that I used and I also cleared off the counters completely I spray them down and I let the spray sit for at least five minutes this is something I didn't used to do and come to find out you need the spray just sit on the counter for a little bit longer so that way it has time to kill all the bacteria so now instead of wiping it down right away I move on to the next section of the kitchen clear it off spray it down and give it a second [Music] I also took the opportunity to refill my electric salt and pepper shakers I will link these down below because every time I use them you guys ask about them [Music] once I finish clearing this side of the kitchen off my muffins we're done so I went ahead and took out of the oven and let them cool off and I did take a little bit of a break so that we can all enjoy one because you were smelling it and it seriously smell like a blowpipe you're welcome take a bite needless to say these were also a huge hit I love the texture of these that oatmeal gives it a really chewy consistency so it's not like your traditional muffin so break was over I went back to finish cleaning up the kitchen anyways we'll notice I did not do any dishes because that is hubby's job he did the dishes in the trash once I was done completely clearing everything off also went ahead and cleared off the coffee station and since this was the last place that I clean everything that didn't have a home kind of made its way over here so I cleared it off and I took the opportunity to like rearrange it a little bit I wanted to have most of the produce over here so ultimately I decided to put my 3 heart canisters in the coffee station along with lines and lemons I just felt like that makes so much more sense than having it on the other counter [Music] also the muffins were completely cooled by now so I went ahead and displayed half of them just like two days worth and then I put the rest in the fridge so that they could stay fresh a lot longer and that is it you guys that is what our grocery shopping routine looks like I hope you guys enjoy today's video please give it a thumbs up if you do and also don't forget to subscribe before you go and I will talk to you guys next time bye
