All right, hey guys, welcome back Ricky here, okay, so this is kind of a An odd video this is not the type of video I like to do very often and I've kind of delayed making response to this video mainly because I didn't really Just didn't want get into any sort of politics or in a sort of debate on this issue Um, but a lot of the guys actually hundreds of you guys have written me on Facebook and on Instagram Tell me that there's company called grill addicts that is actually using my clip or one of my clips in addition to some other clips in a series of ads here's a ad on Facebook that I came across with my with one of my videos in it. So we'll just watch this thing and You've got a clip of me cutting and then a bunch of other videos. Presumably all stolen as well Funny thing is most of the knives that they're using are Miyabi's or you know, miyabi's I can identify then there's other than other knives as well And here's another clip of me doing unboxing of the Birchwood and then another clip of me cutting some Sweet potatoes yams you click on the actual link to the ad it goes through their website GrillAddicts.com. Alright, So Razor sharp. Sharpened mirror polish at 12 degrees per side nonstick exquisite sixty seven layers Damascus pattern So keep that in mind 67 layers of damascus pattern. and we have AUS five,seven,eight As as a core steel Rockwell 62 Rockwell 62 Okay And these three photos are actually well two of them at least the ones on the left and right are photos of actual knives being forged in Japan You know knives are actually handmade if you look right here. So these are additional specs they give you on their own website Okay. So everything I'm giving you, you know, I said when I say like they're yeah you're buying crap This is not me saying it's literally their own website saying it so the overall specs 8-inch knife is the overall length Your hardness it says here is greater than 58 to 60, you know? If you know knives not they're never advertised greater than 58 through 60 HRC That makes absolutely no sense and then you have your Blade thickness at two point eight millimeters, which is fine I mean, that's a bit thick on the Japanese knife front All right, and your steel material right here. It's You got seven Cr17 stainless steel. I don't know that is for that. I'm sure that's just cheap stuff Damascus etched so not 67 layers of Damascus steel as what they advertise or what they claim at top of the page And they have 440c Alright, so this is damascus etched. This is not a Damascus true Damascus Quite a knife and then your Japanese that this is funny like your knife style is a Japanese santoku So wasn't this a chef's knife? Or a gyuto to begin with for those who don't know gyuto means chef knife in Japanese. But yet the knife style here is Japanese Santoku that's pretty funny. That's just like bad editing and bad content management right there and your design is a thumb pattern blade design a thump pattern blade design and Pakka wood handle. Okay, that's fine. Sorry guys. Yes, everyone who actually bought this knife Presumably because you saw the video as to how sharp these knives were yeah, you guys were suckered and They they were and they also said that fifty thousand people have already bought these knives Which is amazing. I mean, I'm not surprised because it's very easy to fool people and It's just surprising that they actually put that number there. So I hope that's not true. I hope that's actually a fake number If there are 50 thousand plus however, you know, I was looking at this site like every 10 seconds. Someone bought a knife. If that's real men, there are a lot of people being suckered by this company, so My response to this video is I am not Related to them in any way I have they have never approached me to use my video. I Have reported them to Facebook I've actually have also reached out to them and asked them to not use the video any longer and I've gotten no response there I mean the most insulting response I could have gotten And I did get was from Facebook. They said we don't understand what you're what you're claiming as intellectual property, so You know and it's so at this point, I don't I can't really do anything This company is probably spending hundreds of dollars a day. If not thousands of dollars a month Advertising and Facebook desperately wants that money and for them, it's more beneficial to You know let the ad continue running So, you know this to me qualifies as the biggest knife scam on the internet It's it's using my clips a number of clips from different videos as well as other video sources out there I'm not sure if there are the YouTube channels or you know, whatever it is But I'm pretty sure none of them are actually paid for by this company Um anyways guys, do me a quick favor and share this video share it everywhere You guys can get the message out there grill addicts is not associated with me I have never endorsed their knives and this is especially important for those who have purchased knives for the 50,000 who bought knives thinking that they were getting a deal from Japanese handmade knives. They were not I can guarantee you those were not made in Japan. I Could care less if grill addicts came on board later on and say hey we want to pay you to use those clips. I have no interest because I don't want to be associated with company with you know Dirty marketing and marketing is based on False information and stolen videos and I want to thank the hundreds of my subscribers on Facebook and on YouTube and on instagram. That have reached out and told me about this company and I apologize for taking so long to respond but I just I was hoping that this go away, but it hasn't and so I'm finally making response to it and I was gonna put this video out at the end of 2018 and call the biggest knife scam of 2018. But the biggest knife scam of 2019 will sound just fine.
