off the train to have dad to go out back and tie a big old white rag in the tree and i could see it from the train and i knew whether or not i could get off it's a preacher we're almost home we almost [Music] the old preacher took the arm of his sleeve and he wiped the window and he looked out then he turned and he looked at the young man and he said son son well you don't have anything to worry about they don't apply trees in full bloom but they've got white rags from one end of that tree to the other and standing down up under that tree i see a gray-headed old mom and dad yeah the big old just fortunate enough to be able to kind of learn from him growing up but was that the kind of thing where literally in your house you'd see him noodling away and yeah that was one of those things where i would see all these songs like that you would later hear on the radio kind of develop and it was it was really cool to see the early early stages of stuff and you know some of them started out as like jokes half the time and then he played them for people and they'd be like wait play that again what's that i wanna and so it was it was really cool to see that uh court's doing a local gig here we're gonna tell you about that in a second and uh is going to sing for us as well here hold on they've done a remix of it right that's doing really well yes they did a remix and they put it out um a couple weeks ago we just uh shot the video for it um a few weeks back and it started doing really well and we've played it live uh last week for the first time it was really fun what are you
