Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
First of all, this is incredibly cool. On the other hand I also have some stupid question(s) about this:
Flying this low over very rugged terrain (ice spikes, etc.)... isn't this extremely dangerous? Engine failure? I understand those planes can probably turn on a dime and have snail-like stall speeds, but still...?
This whole "skimming the water" stuff that I keep seeing in videos like this: One small twitch (a sneeze!) a small wind gust and this could go very wrong, right? Is this only done by highly trained professionals on extremely calm days, or is this somehow actually easy? Not dangerous? What am I missing?
I could do with a little more airplane noise and a little less techno music but overall this is pretty incredible. There is something about bush flying that no other type of flying can match
hell yes
How do i even get into bush flying (other than a TW rating). Coming from north Georgia, this seems almost surreal.
What an amazing video, lovely!
Awesome!
