Gravel Biker Tries Mountain Biking for the First Time in Moab

[Music] laura does st patrick's day the way it should be done oh that was mean laura what do you think did we pack enough stuff uh you packed way too much you're only getting it for three days but [Laughter] mark where's the bike [Music] so we got in pretty late last night we got in around midnight had a little bit of whiskey while we set up our our tents uh but we're gonna head to poison spider bicycles to go ahead and pick it up [Music] just got back from the bike shop it is a glorious glorious day uh we are staying mark where is this at willow springs uh road good views and there's actually porta potties you can see right behind me which is kind of kind of legit but here's the bike looks really really nice super stoked about it fox 36 performance yeti sb 130 size large and then mark's got his yt the old capra tell me what you got oh this came with beautiful fox 38 overkill for everything and another big old air can in the back but yeah the jack of all trade bike it's a pretty good situation we're gonna go and do a loop that's about like a three minute drive from where we're where we're sleeping if you weren't awake you are now it's time for us to get going all right we are at rm take a look around pretty empty today it's kind of a kind of a mid-march spring break situation sounds like the snow just melted about a week or two ago or some of the trails were a little wet but it's in good shape now and we're gonna we're gonna head down the path oh yeah [Music] you yo yeah oh my god my front wheel kind of got caught in that little thing i almost went over the bars [Music] [Music] all right maverick let's do it [Music] [Music] [Music] yup [Music] [Music] come on come on come on yeah so we got back from our ride and um took a little nap we gotta get some water before we we come back thinking about a night ride but we're also thinking about whitski so i think it's really going to depend on um you know how we feel in an hour or two it's uh this morning's ride was pretty good we're out for about two and a half hours and we we rode some really solid trails but it was it was a ton of fun the grand sampler just want to show you the view like just maybe like 30 feet from our campsite um it's absolutely stunning with the lasalles in the background um on over here you can see canyon lands and it's just it's just crazy like there's just so much there's so much vastness but you just have like these like massive mountains in the middle of the desert [Music] go ahead [Music] are you sure alright thank you appreciate it no problem [Music] oh [Music] i almost went over [Music] [Music] whew [Music] um [Music] [Music] there we go cindy um [Music] you [Music] my foot's left still on still on [Music] oh we got it [Music] oh hell yeah there it is dude this is incredible this view is amazing [Music] [Applause] oh wow all right let's do it [Music] come on come on yeah baby nice [Music] oh sorry thanks guys um [Music] just finished up dead horse point state park started to get a little bit crowded towards the end and it's like just after noon and um see a lot a lot of folks getting getting ready to head out right now it's super super nice weather uh it was a little chilly when we first started but um as soon as that sun came out we just forgot the elevation factor yeah we forgot that it was almost at six thousand feet so uh we got started early but it was a lot of fun and um bikes are mark is cleaning the mark is cleaning the bikes now whatever you do doing a race nice afternoon ride [Music] wow [Music] [Music] you know you made it wow [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] damn it's so loose [Music] uh day three final day it's been so good it's been phenomenal so stoked driving up to navajo rocks trail and we are going to get like a session out a little half of the loop and maybe do maybe just do like half of it because we've got to return the bike i got to get back to denver to go see a concert and it's sunday so there'll probably be some traffic so yeah cloudy today take a look gonna be tough to leave the desert always is [Music] there you got it another cool little start oh nice let's go i like the up [Music] oh [Music] oh yeah [Music] hit this jump hit the jump yes [Music] yes yes [Music] hey yeah mark [Music] yeah that was awesome [Music] yeah dude 30 degrees maybe maybe 35 oh no come on [Music] mark oh exposure on the right here whoa all right nice [Music] let's go baby that was an awesome section holy smokes [Music] oh yeah [Music] come on come on baby [Music] [Music] hey how's it going there we go oh yeah [Music] oh [Music] yo hit a jump yeah dude this is crazy oh nice mark all right [Music] oh my god up come on this is what i'm talking about this is what i'm talking about yeah [Music] [Music] [Music] you
