Gr8 Khaos Team 2 Episode 22 "Taking a Dragon from Behind"

and we are live here with great chaos where things get chaotic just as they do from the very beginning here welcome back we do things a little bit different a group of friends we get together we play Dungeons and Dragons for sure but we split the party into on purpose and we are back to group two this week and we are ready for what I think is going to be a very exciting Adventure tonight uh not where I don't even know what to say but anyways let's talk about last time on great chaos okay the group was sailing away looking for the shattered coast of the Shadow aisle and they had come across uh a door that was now on their ship that was a dimension elsewhere had some issues there they had to deal with they had a ghost ship that uh they had ran into that they decided what would be the harm of of investigating a ship that was broken down and I'm still sad we didn't broken into into places and so they decided to do a little investigating uh what they found was a creature that was on this prison ship and it was head escaped and it was trying to take over the the crew of your ship as you had made your way onto the boat some of you anyway uh it was able to get in and affect the mind I believe of Bjorn caus a little bit of a of an issue there uh for the group but what's new the born was a little inquisitive uh to to investigate this ship and so you guys were able to battle back the the Ooze creature that uh was immune to slashing damage much to oan dismay and you guys were able to get back on your boat and sail away only in the middle of the night to be smashed into by a large ship captained by one stanway axworthy of Skinner axworthy and being taken captive the group uh spoke to stanway uh in the cellar of the ship and he decided that he would give them a chance but only if they agreed to kill and destroy the master which they did agree to and that brings us to tonight's episode so great chaos as you are sleeping or getting ready for sleep is there anything that anyone wants to do the night before or do you want to go to sleep well I think first off we need to make sure we still take ships just cuz we don't want the ship you know blowing up around us or things panicking I think it'd be worthwhile staying home up to you I'll take third shift I'll take second I'll take third with beor I'll take first okay so your first shift by yourself I'll take first shift with you okay so you guys are going to be first shift together all right and then are you going to take second with yes okay so on first shift go ahead and roll perception checks for me Oho that' be a solid 10 for me okay world of 16 okay anything that you all want to to talk about on first [ __ ] as you gather yourselves and get ready for last nighty B we don't talk about that much like fight Club much like white Club find out I don't really have too much I mean this is going to be held tomorrow morning yeah um nothing wrong our so the captain his ship sink correct they crashed into US sink his ship yeah somewhere now they're by the by this aisle that's shrouded in in mist and fog and Shadow there's a sunken ship with a doorway portal somewhere else but we don't have too much to talk about no okay not really um your first shift goes by uneventful who has second shift ult okay roll perception checks for me if you would [ __ ] 10 uh that's a 21 21 okay you notice from time to time throughout your shift that um one of the skeletal Pirates kind of makes rounds and doesn't seem to really even acknowledge or anybody that's in the cell just kind of walking through the boat but Reggie so what do you guys any anything to talk about oran's not very trusting of this character so he's probably not opening up too much or saying all up okay um no I think gawa said everything he needs to say okay he'll spend this time preparing spells for the morning okay and who has third shift dibs all right go ahead um perception checks [Applause] please aging 14 14 and 1818 so I would say tankor you notice that after the guard who's who's making his way around moves on you do kind of sense that you're being watched a little bit you can't tell from where but you do sense that you're being oh no we're on the ship still you're in the cell in the bottom of the ship you talked about making your Hut did you end up doing that did we decide I don't know did we you did talk about it at the end of we do almost every night I would I would allow that because you did bring that up the RW inside the hook okay then you don't feel that oh whoops sorry thought you did for a second but feel prying prying eyes though you you do feel like I mean where could they I mean as I look around how many places can somebody be looking at us from and that's that's where you feel it could be more magical in nature we've experienced this before right yes okay uh was it him that had the thing the the lantern that was yes well that won't work inside here to outside though no it won't but you two are awake if you want to talk yeah hey what's happening man how you doing I'm good I mean I'm okay I I feel like we're being watch but it might be like magical means any chance you want to step outside yeah I can do that and use your Lantern and see if you can I'm going to go in my bag fish out the lantern fill it with more oil which I got to consume and then I will stick my body out like I guess my arm and maybe upper body out of the What specifically can this this Lantern see again it can reveal things that are invisible okay and I will cast it in that direction and you where do you shine it gu wherever I'm going to cast it all around whatever the direction is just in the back of the cell there's just this eyeball that looks like it's part of the cell when the lantern shines over it staring right at the hut and now at you since you're outside of that it just kind of like like like twitching around oh like M ey Moody style not quite like that like it looks like an actual eyeball that's part of the wall and it's just oh doesn't look the same as that one that was following us before it does but smaller smaller interesting I'm going to hey you see anything oh yeah you see it too so I can't he's he's staying in the Hut itals if you reveal it outside though he can see it yeah oh so what are you thinking I'm wondering if it's um related to the uh one librarian guy the head librarian guy you know what I'm talking about yeah I'm going to do uh I'm going to take a section of my go back in grab a section of a bag that I have and I'm going to cast a uh what is that thing called oh sorry guys it's like a little inscription thingy that's magical that I can do it's not an infusion but it's if I keep rambling words eventually it'll come to me I mean there's only so many pages on your character go magical tinkering so I'm use my magical tinkering to put a little image of the face of the guy that was uh that we met in the library that you met in the library or no we met him sorry he he he he was at the university the head of the University yes that guy and I'm going to put the word wanted Underneath Him underneath that pitcher and I'm going to hold that up to the eyeball so it can see interesting the eye kind of Narrows as you do that sweet okay I'm going to go back inside do you want to take a shot at it like a think it'll even hit it I remember last time he shot and it went like right through it cuz it was like a mar l so you can dispel it if you have that but I can't go out otherwise the whole thing's gone yeah you're right ah we just let it go I don't think it's going to hurt us and they can't see inside here I'm guessing because it's a it's opaque yeah oh perfect all right so I'm going to head back inside and I want to start working on my spells and prepping those and I do want to change one of my infusions out I am going to go in the corner and I'm going to face away from him okay and I'm going to work on the infusion to make uh The Bird pipes into okay these special tangorin Bird pipes so I'm going to finish that up teleport but you look away from him as you finish yep okay what a gentleman yeah you don't to look in the no eye contact it's weird all right messes with yours oh then I'm going to wrap it up I'm going to take uh Safety First yeah you got W you got a protection is always key so I'm take a part of my uh cloth bag and I'm going to rip it me and I'm going to hold up all right you don't know I feel like this is a breakup so you give you give this to him then yeah t uh just want to say thank you I mean you've always had my back it's not you it's me all right no no um no like so I've been trying to work on this gift for a long time right um I got it's a special gift for you and I was trying to get it before your birthday I know it's tomorrow but I just I don't think we're going to make it to the next day tomorrow I know it's not this morning but the following day but I don't think we're going to actually make it well couldn't make could possibly not make it so I just wanted to give you a gift you think we're going to die I I don't know I get this feeling of impending doom a little bit more so than usual and you know how often we're in near-death experiences anyway Fair does that a feeling ever turn off yeah right it do I've had this feeling I haven't felt it going yet yeah I haven't so I'm saves so whenever you use that for any of your your songs that you play on it for any of your spells it's a A plus two in addition to whatever your normal score is and lots of tips I see and on top of it it also brings you the ability to play a a I'm sorry an irresistible song once a day so what happens is no I can't really play Kiss My Ass Prof you want to hear a song you love me you would try so you get a chance once a day to play a little diddy and what happens is you focus it on one person they make a spell save otherwise they are stuck having to dance as they're turn they lose all their movement and that is a neat little spell yep they get uh they can't attack they just basically use their turn to try to break free of your your magical Melody once per day once per day I play a diddy and they dance so with a plus two does that go to the DC or does that go to the spell save the spell save yep and that that spell save goes for any spell that you cast with it including that one okay plus two yeah wow very nice um my birthday is next week justang yeah's got one coming too we've reached the point where we have a party member just creating magical weapons just pointing that out we're good thank you very much you're welcome all that's pretty cool love dance pipes of dancing yep T horns pipes of dancing all right so you get through disco stick the end of the ship and couple of those like crab like giant creatures like come down and they're kind of flanking Reggie and another like skeletal pirate and you don't see the captain anywhere yet and like come along you your fate will be decided this morning you can resist and look like me he's like or you can go willingly and keep your flesh well I'm good I'm going I I vote for that option so remember you have all items right now except weaponary items so any staffs blades things like that those were taken from you yes so as you come up onto the the first deck the captain's up there waiting for you he's just kind of staring at all you like he's weighing let's bring them to the beach and let the ceremony begin pile their items up over there on the side of the beach so we go ahead and put our minis out on the map here I will share with you what uh what this looks like what so you are docked right here one over there the entrance that he told you about the night before is going to be through here um your items are right against this rocks over here does that make sense M yep okay so you are right here he's going to bring you to right here against these rocks and if you could oh boy put if you can put these out on the map they're going to be over by the dock itself paron thank you are my Pirates already out there there are maybe some down here are are they on land or are they some of them may we use we'll just use these guys for now these will work just fine they're going to be close to you yeah there's going to be one there there's going to be one over by the entrance to the cave entrance itself there yeah that's this yep oh think so and then where is my captain you don't captain my captain he's a wait the dwarf no it's a pirate figure should be right there oh I bet he's on the ship still hold on yep he is you put him he's right next to you guys okay it's pretty cool and it's you know you can tell that it it is becoming um a little bit lighter out now there's so much fog and so much shadow that it's really really hard you right there yeah I'm agree okay um it's hard to tell like what's light what's dark because there's so much fog surround in the island but like there is some light and so that you can tell it's um it's probably right around Dawn or just pre-dawn and stanway stands before all of you which of you agrees to turn yourself yourself over willingly and give yourself to the new master and which of you is going to go unwillingly both a little step up he's already right in front of him are you ready to Grant your soul to the servitude of the master [Music] small one Gully is going to Olan just has like a glaze over his eyes when I say that hold Tan cor's Hand and twin cast protection from Evil on both of us [Music] okay that's anyone else willingly how far away are all our how far away are that yellow dot is the yeah I tell is that like 60 ft 30 ft yeah the squares are not coming through are they so yeah it's about I would say it's going to take one round to get over to that okay so around 30 ft yeah can rats run faster um my Mage hand can go 6 let us begin the ritual with the small one and you see roll a perception check ooh 24 24 you do notice a you feel like a subtle wink he says that he begins to raise his arms up and at first and he starts muttering and at first you see like nothing's happening and you kind of start to hear the waves of the shore like kind of splashing into the Rocks a little bit and everybody else is like they're all kind of waiting for you know what's he doing what's this how's the spell going to work and all of a sudden like you see all of this like the water starts pulling away from the shore out of the corner of your eye it's pulling out to see more and it's like pulling away from the dock and then as he goes and so I have decided and he drops his hands in this massive wave comes smashing in from the side of the dock and it wipes all of the choll like right off the is just get smashed into this wave and he Els go now and uh as he does uh these two the two skeletal ones they're like what and and he goes to fight one of them what do you all do I'd like initiative by everybody here well so 20 to 25 ooh that 20 24 so 10 corn 24 okay uh anyone else 20 25 15 to 20 15 for oan 17 I'm running to my death gawa has 18 gawa 18 all right 15 Gideon was 17 yep 25s who has the higher decks I'm sure doesn't oan what your de uh 20 okay way higher uh go uh six all right I so T Corin what do you do as he yelled go and he began running at one of the the Pirates I am going to I'm going to run my full movement towards that building okay and then I'm going to hold my action so I can heal anyone who's gets hurt so at that pirate that's by it yeah I'm running into the building then I'm going to hold my action okay I want to um go to the front of that guy like towards the door side of it so that way if somebody wants to flank him it'll be easy for them to get yeah okay and you're holding what action are you holding a healing I'm going to hold a healing action yeah okay gwa you're round righto so yes um I mean you're all a little caught off guard there this huge Title Wave of water just like completely threw all these things into the sea [Music] what the hell um okay I know what I'm doing so I'm going to take advantage of the chaos to reach into my component pouch pull out just a little pinch of bat fur um and then blow it through the shape of an eye that I make with my fingers and I'm going to cast Arcane eye all right and what are you going to use the Arcane I for I'd like it to weave its way through the field and check out that cave okay are you moving as well no uh well yes maybe sinking backwards away from the three Pirates deeper into the group yes all right the movement on that is let's see 30 ft right it's normal vision dark vision out to 30 ft so it hovers in the air so where do you want and it's invisible where do you want on it um says you can move as an act as your action you can move it up to 30 ft from wherever and you can cast it out to 30 ft see so you can cast it all the way up to where Torin is and then you can go 30 ft from there let's do that um yep pop it into being right by that excuse me um into like the cavern entrance there yes and then along the ceiling I think looking downwards Okay so it seems to be at first like a natural uh rock formation that it's going through but then it looks like somebody like cleanly carved through it so it starts to become more of I don't know if manmade is the word but definitely something carved into it it was it's no longer just a natural Cavern after the the first 20 ft or so okay so the rest of you will see me do something with my hands you'll see me close my eyes and kind of sink sink back and I'll mutter under my breath um Breath You Cav chisels chisel marks not chisel marks rough Hune yes all right so that's brings up uh Gideon with oan on that I'm going to have my maid hand appear uh right at my sword and uh bring it to me which sword Edmond which I'm really weirded out it that anyone could have taken that from me that these guys in particular could have at least well he sheath just saying he sheath and that's the only reason okay so the Mage hand's going to bring it to you yep okay and then I'm going to are you going to move just enough to give him just a little bit more cover since he looks like he's concentrating on something okay the block okay all right so that's open with bejor on De I'm going to oops he's going to use his move action to grab his two swords and then he's going to bonus action you can't bonus action heing work no I'm going the bonus action six attacks that's so he's going to use move action get his swords bonus action move back and then make his full attack on this guy okay [ __ ] action is us you do not have Advantage though because there's no one else in there right now no oh boy I got an 11 14 19 and a 27 11 misses 14 misses the other two hit okay 16 17 20 28 33 points okay of slashing damage yes slashing damage okay actually nine uh skeletal creatures I'm sorry that mind right 13 of that is cold okay of the 33 of the 33 Okay so 20 was slashing correct all right okay that makes a difference right you want me to yeah I'll need to know the slashing and then the the cold separate okay okay is that end your turn then yeah he he wanted to try to position himself in between Gully and the thing when he came in for that attack all right so Bjorn is Up stanway is on back I am a little cover R over to this other guy he's standing around the corner I guess where's my guy how many steps is that away roughly so you could get your full moov get you up to that guy how many I got I'm going uh I'm going to use mobile my mobile feet and make sure that I can move up to four 40 okay 30 will take you to that guy perfect I would like to use uh cast booming blade on my Gauntlet so I can get a single attack on him okay all that now your Gauntlet didn't have a blade on it right no nope this is bludgeoning style attack well I guess Thunder damage technically okay so that is a 12 + 8 total 20 20 hits sweet and that will give me two d8 damage no pluses [Music] oh Sho hold on wait where my right there right than pretty she so that that's a eight and this one is a one all right points nine points and I'm going to um since I have mobile and I swung at this guy I'm going to avoid the opportunity to attack and move back ten ten Y and if this person moves they will take additional damage they get coated with this energy that impacts you from the booming blade interesting and just I think it's an extra 28 I will be firm if he chooses to move also since I have my defensive uh gloves on they will admit that little Annoying light that means that he attacks anyone other than me he has to attack to disaar okay all right lot of little things okay thanks yes good round the artificer showing his colors tonight okay mhm so you hear stanway say I'm sorry Reggie it's nothing personal my son though you have to understand and he smashes at him with his staff it's once all right so that brings us to and he he yells out behind him as he's doing it he's like go this will not end well if you stay on the beach I can do this and you hear from you have you pulled your blade yet or no I would have un chased it right when I got it you know okay I would like to stay with the captain and show you what I can do it begins to hover next to you I will cover you as that's happening these guys are attacking so one's attacking the captain does hit him uh let's see one is going to attack who is that say that oan right there in front yep uh a five and a 24 I see the five misses the one hits yeah 24 hits okay uh seven points of slashing damage and he going make a constitution saving throw oh and beorn this G last guy is going to move at you so what more damage does he take uh 28 so go ahead and roll that 19 19 okay you feel as the blade slices in like there's just like this gruesomeness to the cut but you you're able to resist off the whatever the effects are of is it poison yeah cuz I have advantage against poison for saving girls you made it without it so but yeah it is poison so um 11 points 11 more points of what kind of damage thunder thunder okay and then he has he does not have disadvantage on you no he doesn't all right uh a 10 and a 23 oh yeah that 23 hits but not the 10 no that seven points was that from the blade or was that there any poison damage at all no cuz I'm also resisting to poison so uh all right let's do this you take six points of slashing damage that one okay you also take poison damage oh dear so you got the six points of Slash in right yep six points and 10 points of poison damage and you feel it still coursing in your system oh all right I would like to show you Gideon what I can do and as he says this you see these like troll creatures starting to clamor back from the ocean that they got thrown into and Dolly it is your turn uh Gully is going to move next to T Corin okay and then he will say you didn't have any weapons over there I have a staff but I'm hoping uh someone else is going to grab uh Kelly is going to say stay close and then he will use his action to do Bolding Bond okay with who oh let's see we T Corin Gideon and oan so you guys would one if you're within 30 ft to me you will have um get to use a D4 and add it to any attack roll ability check or saving throw on once per turn yep nice all right so oh that brings us back can I use my bonus action now to what my my sa that you were holding yeah yeah am I able to take a 5ot step in that direction and then cast uh well you've used your full movement but well how far are you trying to do yourself well that dude uh he's he's 30 ft away from me right yeah but you were holding a healing action yeah okay and that guy is not 30 ft away from you yeah what's that that guy's not 30 ft away from you that guy's 10 ft away from you or is the's only 10 ft from [Music] okay I want to do um gu I just do [ __ ] never mind I'm not going to can I use a bonus action and just uh cheer you can only use your your action you were holding okay and don't okay so it's back to your round now I am going to do let's see conc if someone's concentrating do you have to have them in your line of sight all the time it's a concentration thing for you no okay I am going to bless uh the dad and bejor and um how far is uh oh you can see them anyway yeah but how far is uh they're about 30 ft from you they're the furthest so this just kind of Close Quarters here then I'll just get uh him him and him with the bless and then with the bonus action I'm going to cheer on his dad so he gets a d8 bonus action and then we got to go in right mhm I'm going to go in 5 ft whatever in and wait you got to get people going okay so you go in five actually no you know what I'm going to run and grab my stuff quick I'm going to run and grab this stuff all right so I keep put bless grab my staff bless and you you and you and then I'm putting him the d8 first all right plus is a plus D4 for attacks [Music] or okay saving throws where are you at you could probably make it back right no you can make it maybe 10 ft back but okay you grab the pile and yeah okay grab what I can okay all right so that brings us to G SK dad you got this um yep so I'm unaware of the Chell rising up I'm entirely focused on my spell I'm going to use my action to send that I 30 ft deeper okay as it goes in it's like it's almost like it went goes through something and you feel everything get fuzzy and then it comes through and it looks like there's a an entrance to a chamber and there's this like skull that you have to walk through but it something interrupted it almost like it walked it warped through something interesting and it I didn't pick up on the the barrier or whatever it is the field is invisible mhm interesting okay um going to post it up there but I'm going to um open my eyes and and I'm going to use 30 ft to weave through this group okay without occurring an attack of opportunity fine yeah everybody's engaged so yeah a congratulations you guys um yeah all right then that's going to bring us to getting in with oan on Sir Edmond I'll be here when you get back one way or another yeah you turn them loose yep I turn them loose is the the troll Are Climbing up onto the beach now so they fall NOP oh Dash to the pile of CRA he flies at the first one and begins you want to use this spiritual weapon sure edmin the rocket you watch is over your shoulder this impossible blur as this blade begins to just go to work and you hear him yelling as well like take that evil and he just start like so he's like slashing away electric play Knife and he's like literally so far he's got a couple of them like focused on him because he's going so fast from one to the other so um and just kind of scream and hollering and then you how far do you you go I you coming up Dash full Sprint so that I can get whatever other stuff that I had over in that pile I think tanks got it he grabbed everything he can probably help between the two of you you have everything now I will say okay all right so that brings us to oan with how the hell do you guys have so many weapons uh he is going going to take his now you have another blade too though so I didn't have another rape here now oh you didn't okay no he's going to attack okay 14 this 18 hits and then I got a 22 and a 24 so those three hit all right I'll do seeing the chol coming up always like run you fools 4 29 mhm 37 regular damage of slashing damage and then I got open can't help it 12 points of coal damage okay and then I'm going to bonus action disengage all right and I'm going to move and join the others entering okay the c one day pretty common that you the only weapon you really have was that that Mr Sir Sir admin yeah oh no I have other weapon I feel like there's I just don't have another sword thing is common now is with kidan he also has uh a collection Goblin build cards those are lethal well you like you like a sword you can use mine it's just a Sy but just a few weeks ago iint with one I'm most Focus On Healing dead I'm okay for might be one of the fun moment or scariest I'm not getting into any i' I've seen what you store in some of your bags I'm not no I'm not even going to ask you or all right does that does that end Gideon Gideon's turn bag I'm Sorry's turn so we're on we're on Bjorn yeah yeah I'm going to do a similar thing I'm going to your buddy keeps eyes in his back use my action to cast Boom Blade oh technically demono I my mobile still works though so I'm going to um skid around him skirt around him and then run in I guess into the cave area and uh I will do bonus action defensive field which gives me points temporarily and I do have poison still in so yes so we constition savings for me please you tell me he rolls you have BL on you right that's true plus four sweet or D4 sorry on D4 let's do it oh thank you you can use that if you want so that' be 23 points 23 all right so you are able to like force the you're able to force the poison like to like you will it you push part out and the poison kind of comes out just comes out out like a skunk spring yeah that's my all right so that brings us to sandway is going to you gave him an additional d8 yeah and he's under bless he used that just for one attack yeah okay he also gets a D4 it ooh so he's going to use he can those can stack my so all right well the room that you can see and Bubbles flow and splash down from above and there's an unnatural light on the wall as some kind of odd fungus grows and gives off a dull green phosphorous light they're occasional Rocky outcroppings throughout the vast Cavern which you can see which otherwise this this Cavern appears to be empty somewhere off in the back you occasionally see a glint which who knows could be gems could be gold not sure what do you do God little startles I guess I'm going to walk forward cautiously s together and this is water here so the the gray is Stone the blue is water this a powerful item that you're sitting there with did he find a GE I'm wondering if that's what this is right here so it looks like the Box can be opened up like with a lid like mhm just CR it it's only this big though nothing will fit in there jokes a little ring box I want to open it okay so as you open it up um like there's this glowing like yellow light around on the inside and it looks like you can kind of see these two two Gear wheels that just kind of start slowly spinning and right now it's about this big interesting wondering if it gets bigger that's what she said no she was it's a
