Google Cloud Anthos - Explained in 4 Minutes

Hello everyone welcome to video channel AR4M in this video we are going to discuss about google cloud Anthos platform in four minutes my name is Anil Sagar. Anthos is a platform to manage applications in hybrid cloud Environment. what does hybrid cloud environment means Companies today using the power of cloud to manage the applications with scale reliably securely and with all the simplicity and flexibility that cloud offers. In this case let's say you are using Google cloud to run your applications and workloads. What about the applications that are running on private data center ? how do you manage these applications ?Can you deploy them scale them secure them manage them just like applications running on cloud ? Still better what if we can able to manage the applications on cloud and on premises using one single configuration and control plane ? Google Cloud Anthos helps you manage applications running on Google Cloud and on your own data center using one single config and control plane. Let's look at the architecture stack how Google Cloud anthos helps you build deploy deliver manage the applications across Google cloud and on-premises private cloud data centers let's say you are using Google cloud to run applications and package them using containers and manage these containers using google kubernetes engine and scale applications and deploy the applications and launch the applications. What about the applications running on private cloud ? Anthos provides google kubernetes engine on premises and helps you launch, manage, scale the containers like you do in Google Cloud. Great you are managing the containers and launching the applications, what about the services or api's that are exposed out of these applications how do you connect control secure and observe these micro services ? ISTIO is open source service mesh micro services management platform. Google Cloud provides managed ISTIO as part of the Antos stack that help manage the micro services. Anthos config management seamlessly connects both cloud and private cloud and manage these applications running on google kubernetes engine and delivered using one single control plane. Anthos also comes with GCP marketplace that you can use to deploy the applications. For example if you are running a simple website using WordPress you can go to GCP marketplace and say install WordPress you don't need to run multiple commands you can do the same thing for on promises on your own private cloud as well using Antos Google Cloud. Anthos helps manage the applications running in hybrid cloud and priavte data center using one single config and control plane.
