Goodguys Pleasanton 2022 All American Get-Together Car Show

all right saturday march 26 2022 i'm up here at uh the alameda county fairgrounds in pleasanton california for the good guys all-american get together it's early they just opened uh so a lot of the show cars that are outside aren't here yet but all the ones that are inside the halls are already in place so we're gonna go check those out first and then we'll be heading out checking out what's outside as that starts to fill in and if there's time i might even be able to hit the swap meet so let's go all right so like i said i think we're going to start off in the halls since they're not filled up yet since the show just opened by the time we get down in the halls hopefully a lot of the cars fill in outside usually the neater stuff's in the halls anyway like your show cars like this 54 buick here the next week i'll actually be down in san diego for the del mar good guys filming that as well so you're going to get two good guys events in a row on the channel i drove up yesterday visit a friend in fresno so i had a good day yesterday and here i am very clean buick so this 59 impala [Music] if you like them paul let's check out my lowrider show video from last week the los angeles slow rider super show very nice room here unfortunately with the rope i can't do a full walk around of these cars [Music] nice 36 ford [Music] oh my god [Music] there's a 59 el camino with the astro supremes and the lake pipes [Music] [Music] it's mercury [Music] [Music] whatever okay the owner of the pickup left me in here to give you a better look at what's going on on this cameo [Music] see all the uh custom work [Music] yeah i think this is a chevy as well so i'll show you this one i'll have to jump back on the other side of the rope again but the owner wanted me to show the detail on the cameo [Music] this 61 impala this one we can also get to the interior of [Music] so let's model camaro 65 mustang two plus two gt [Music] there's a 1969 camaro rally sport [Music] appears to be an old uh show car of some sort or at least done in the uh say late 60s early 70s style sure the plaque says uh i can't even read it this is 1961 though so it's probably built in 1961. this 1963 galaxy [Music] [Music] the 1960 cadillac [Music] runner [Music] sixty three four nine impala work for the hood's not up [Music] very clean 72 monte carlo full window sticker there so it is for sale so uh keep in mind the uh when the video posts don't be calling more than say a month or two afterwards there actually is a swap meet here so if i have time i'm gonna go try to hit some of that but uh we will see there's a riviera with a full custom drill with projector headlights [Music] i always love showing details such as [Music] [Music] so [Music] another 1961 bubble top impala this uh chevy coupe the rivieras are very popular here [Music] chevy pickup [Music] this one can get over to show you the interior on [Music] [Music] the square body uh pickup multi hot rod 67 mustang almost almost looking like a bullet or eleanor sort of a mixture of the two 57 thunderbird [Music] show this 55 chevy nomad it's called the sun mod [Music] [Music] look how they did the uh rear door there here's a 1957 210 four-door wagon the clear-coated over patina i actually had one of these and i offered it to my wife when we were married and she didn't want it so i don't know first one had a straight six with a three on the tree i was like really you don't want that nice c10 pickup very nice uh 68 devel convertible very nice 1960 buick le saber wagon you don't see these very often complete with the surfboard on the roof very clean nova convertible 63. [Music] see a lot of plymouth hot rods from that era 67 gto so the blown 57 this is very clean original looking 55 bel air so 67 camaro this is a very halloween looking chevy truck 32 chevy cooper [Music] [Music] it's nice uh ford f1 or sticking out nice mopar hot [Applause] come rod [Applause] [Music] all right so this whole room here at good guys is all low riders just in case you didn't get enough low riders in last week's video i'll start off with this 65 impala the music is a little louder in here so i'm gonna have to probably shoot one or two cars at a time [Music] this 59 impala monte carlo [Music] this uh 38 buick special alright [Music] [Music] see some of the etching going on there on the trim [Music] it's lte have a look on the interior on this the heart-shaped steering wheel [Music] when i'm bubble top bel-air [Music] 62 [Music] at the 64. show you some of the paint details [Music] say the 63 convertible [Music] i also do a low rider uh room that's born in san diego the good guys there and they've actually got a larger hall for that [Music] business [Music] this clean 59 wagon [Music] [Music] ladies and gentlemen do you want to participate in the burnout competition come to the dj booth next to the um [Music] clean 47 fleet line here with the visor and the spots and everything else [Music] 49 chevrolet [Music] so 65 ford fairlane rider which you don't see airlines down up as low riders very often [Music] a little bit more details [Music] um [Music] unfortunately the lighting got a little weird in here where the sun's hitting the cars on this side through the windows hopefully it still comes up well on the camera have a look at this 1960 [Music] sure this mini truck oh there's still many truck clubs down in southern california i'm assuming it's the same up here [Music] there's a fleet with broome [Music] all right so i just walked all the way to the eastern end of the fairgrounds here so i can get the light going back towards the western end there are a lot of cars here so uh not sure how long it's gonna take to film a good chunk of this doubt it's gonna be 100 of the show there are a lot of cars here so at least i know what kind of pacing i need to do to get through this and we'll show you as much as we can but i've been to a good guys meet here since the 90s so i was not prepared for how many vehicles are here so definitely this is a show we're checking out if you have a chance to this is a lot bigger than the scent than the del mar meet was that i shot about five six months ago very cool van here though so just be prepared there should be a lot of cars in this video [Music] yeah okay so this show is absolutely massive and of course the one i shot last week had a lot of cars as well of course but those were all kind of crammed into one small area with the lowrider meat so need a hudson pickup it's a 64 impala play with the astro supremes i'm guessing the rest of this video is going to pretty much be shot walk around style and i'll show you anything really interesting obviously i cannot focus into detail on every single car here there's just not enough time so just sit back relax and enjoy the show about a 69 yenko camaro i don't think it's a real one though but it's been modified not sure there's no size usually when it's a real one they have signs with all the documentation and everything else a lot of new cars here check out this 300 it's to be all original this one's a 300 this is 55. yeah cause this is not the uh bee a neat car other than the one fender it's all looks like three original paint this is an acadian so this is a canadian nova so this was slotted in between chevrolet and pontiac in the gm line of course based on a chevy 2 or nova a few of these have snuck down into the united states over the years about a 40 nash i always like to show the unusual ones this is definitely an unusual one see a mustang to show you this 62 core of that full tilt front on there [Music] this dodge hot rod with the early hemi going to be seeing more stuff like this when we head out to las vegas next month for viva las vegas rockabilly weekender this uh 30 ford pickup [Music] so if you like the traditional rods that's that'll be a great video right [Music] so this is definitely not going to be an easy one to shoot this uh gmc [Music] there's a maverick grabber and if you're been on my channel for a while you know i had two mavericks in a row two 1970 models unfortunately i sold both of them hey got this suburban three-door i don't know if this is gonna show up on film this uh camaro has butterflies in the paint it's very interesting [Music] i know you'll pick it up [Music] actually we have one guy with a very loud sound system so i've gotta work with that right now oh very nice 57 fairly i saw one very similar to this but it was a two or a post in fresno yesterday when i was having lunch with a friend of mine oh that's the first time it's a jaguar with a chevy [Music] motor yeah 442 [Music] w30 ram there it's actually one of these in my neighborhood but the guy won't sell it [Applause] i've tried [Music] uh [Applause] oh oh about ella swapped amc javelin speaking of amc's my matter is actually on the road now so just have to fix a few minor things i actually did drive it down and got it registered so i'll be hopefully doing a video on that i think i'm gonna hold the video on that until may because there's one weekend when i have family stuff going on i probably won't be able to shoot anything but that video will be coming to the channel [Music] but i always got to show the neat amc products so as i was saying i took it down to get it registered and i was driving it very easily because i just done the brakes and i'm driving home i'm being very cautious and of course i'm going through a green light and a lady turns left coming the other way wasn't even paying attention and i had to really slam on the brakes to avoid hitting her and they worked perfectly so unfortunately my car almost got totaled five minutes after registering it but uh said apparently my mechanical skills on doing the brakes were just fine that car will be on the channel it's one we saved from getting crushed definitely would have gotten crushed if i hadn't grabbed it oh really there's chevelle like it just came out of the dealer and actually our next project will be you guessed it my 1944 this is not my actual my 1944 the one that's in my driveway so that's that's the next one i'm jumping into whether or not my friend helps me or not i'm just gonna start on it myself because it needs to happen but i still have the 40 deluxe coupe 375 horse 396 chevy that the outside looks kind of pretty standard grandma faire with the updated v8 under the hood [Music] swap [Music] flathead powered uh f1 it's a power wagon with a uh cummins diesel swap i think it's probably 5 9. [Applause] about had all the markings [Music] this is very pretty dodge pickup 1946 model [Music] [Music] is nice falcon sprint with a uh 427 huh [Music] holds super 88 put it with an anchor since it's a boat [Music] it's actually a guy in socal ramblers amc club that has one of these this is non-amc classic [Music] not sure if the color is gonna come up on this one but it's sort of like a pearlescent light pink [Music] [Applause] [Music] cars are still arriving [Music] i don't think i've even made a dent in that show yet there's still a lot more to see [Music] [Music] i think this guy is lost he's didn't know where to return his rental car [Music] the chevy traverse corvette 25th anniversary edition [Music] [Music] [Music] very cool 62 corvette [Music] unfortunately this way i have to kind of shoot pointing this way to avoid the sun as much as possible so i love this barracuda that's a wild one [Music] [Applause] [Applause] is [Music] [Applause] or 29.99 [Music] oh [Music] [Music] the pale yellow chevy club orbiting two novas [Music] some of those like 80s style hot rods with the uh saved by the belt looking stripes on it i'm guessing it was probably done back in that era but these are still out there with the painted bumpers and all that stuff very popular back in that era i'm going to try to walk through this as quickly as possible unfortunately the music is very loud in this section blue white run with uh some very nice cars such as this road runner [Music] [Music] got this 59 el camino [Music] oh i'm gonna show despite the fact it's close to the music this 61 chevy [Music] okay i'm hoping i'm far enough from the uh dj booth now i can show you some more [Music] cars are you gonna have to water it so much such as this 66 chevelle it's so bad [Music] um [Music] 69 uh camaro pace car edition nice buick it's a grand sport go back and show you the uh camaro the uh 71 hemi cuda i just got paid yeah this great sky ride going over [Music] very often [Music] 57 chevy oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] very important what do you think [Music] there's a very barn fresh looking 40 ford two-door sedan [Music] complete with all the dirt [Applause] we wrote something on the back window there [Music] like this holds convertible get this 90s style paint on this truck these holes will be i'll have a look on the inside it's like it's been dropped onto a corvette chassis [Music] get signed up please [Music] okay [Music] continue to roll in here [Music] [Applause] very often back the hotel i stayed at last night somebody's car alarm went off in the middle of the night [Music] of course nobody looked they just they just said i wish that guy would turn off his car alarm nobody ever goes hey someone's stealing that guy's car this is the v8 55 because you see has the large v in chevrolet there so you can tell it's a 55 with a v8 [Music] it's car show because the layout of the fairgrounds here is kind of hard to figure out again order to shoot in okay it's actually supposed to be cool and overcast today i checked the weather the other day and it's quite warm um [Applause] where do you want them panthera very nice 55 plymouth station wagon place is filling up with spectators you know an old f-85 sedan that's the last time you saw one of those nice gmc pickups okay [Music] i said the layout of the cars through here sort of scattered that smells like kettle corn i don't know what it smells like right now it smells like kettle corn [Music] because it's a fair grounds and they have kettle corn booth oh caramel corn sorry it's over in the corner there [Music] just velvet here i'm gonna try to hit this to this little scattered area here headlight doors didn't quite shut all the way [Music] the 70 gco judge [Music] [Music] i think if they're gonna put you in an area this is probably the best little area because it's nice and shady you got benches [Music] it's pretty quiet cuda i'm not sure if we all make the spring fling mopar show i might make it over there on saturday but sunday's the better day to film but it's it's in april but it's the same day as pomona which of course i always shoot so i may have to skip shooting that one but actually just go out there and hang out on saturday i don't know yet i don't think it would be fair to shoot saturday when sunday is definitely a more interesting day i'm gonna try to shoot pomona then shoot over there but uh we'll see how time-wise that works out i can i'll probably post the spring fling show on the uh i'll probably post the spring fling show on the like maybe on the following wednesday or something so this is a show i like to shoot but unfortunately it is literally it's on the same weekend as like five events i would love to shoot but i could probably shoot maybe one or two i don't know how that worked out there's a nice uh le mans this was a 63 like the one i had i don't know we had one on the channel i bought a 63 convertible with the uh four cylinder we got it running and driving and i just i just kind of sold it as a project it wasn't really drivable on the street the way it was it's a beautiful cadillac somewhere there's a video of that and i never i was early on in the channel i forgot to post the second video after we got it running and driving but mercury and there's actually one of these going out at pick a part in ontario today so once again i missed the classics line at one of the socal pickup parts to shoot for the for the channel as they're going out today and there's also a 59 ford which i traded by 1594 to my buddy chuck so [Music] i told him about i said hey go out there it's probably parts you need for that one of course there's another 40 deluxe coupe [Music] just kind of give you an idea of the madness of this area with all the cars scattered the difficulty of trying to shoot this complete area an autocross i said they're just there's just an insane amount of cars here i realized i've already shot about an hour of footage give or take i'll try to bring you as much as we can to this show but if ever able to make it out to a good guys meet here in pleasanton it's definitely worth the trek to check out some of these cars in person for sure [Music] oh my god [Music] right the car all right there's an update they do have caramel corn and kettle corn so it actually smells like both at the same time here's that 55 plymouth wagon i saw rolling in earlier i used to drive a 55 plymouth plaza two-door sedan say uh chp mustang [Music] [Music] so i remember coming to good guys meets here and then a couple of them in the 90s but uh so for some reason it was just lost on me that it was such a massive show i completely forgot how big maybe when you're in your 20s you're not thinking oh this is a that's a show i guess just know if you come to one of these prepare be prepared to walk this is always nice to have a little area for kids to play games and such and wear themselves out it's a very nice touch if you have kids my daughter's 12 she doesn't want to go to car shows anymore right now but hopefully that'll change in the future someone's actually got a ribbian pickup truck rolling through challenger rt 383 variety yes uh 65 impala there's actually a whole area where there's cars for snow so i will try to film that as well this is gonna be a very long video and who knows when i that we have not shot yet just to give you an idea i'm very sorry i cannot spend a long time on each car unfortunately they try to try to get a nice walk around i'm not [Music] seven torino [Music] [Applause] so they definitely fill the fairgrounds here in pleasanton this is just amazing cars hey the last time look at this 32 ford called pure hell [Music] i actually have an autocross course set up over on the other side so like i said this is just a massive event they do the same thing at del mar 35 000. i don't know if it's going to come out the sun's kind of shining this way unfortunately it does not work well for cameras [Music] so let's look at this chevron very nice uh 69 pco convertible so no yeah as the game wow [Music] sounds like they got a cover band playing credence [Applause] [Music] [Music] oh there you go uh uh it's another 42-door sedan [Applause] it's all over the dash [Music] oh for a hardtop mercury i don't i don't see the four hardtops very often is to show you the second jenna connell line picking up like the mystery machine bitching about it you're getting into his look at this uh tv type content as well there's just something [Music] lots of cars here a 57 ranch wagon two-door look at beers for forty two thousand uh no phone number oh there's a phone number it's just hard to read if you pause it i'm sure you can read the phone number [Music] [Music] look at that set up [Music] oh sure a big block corvette 435 horse 59 edsel ranger two-door sedan solid white i used to drive one like this but mine had the 292 y block in it he has the black interior same as the one i used to drive [Music] swapped wiring [Music] well the marilyn monroe mannequin in front of a 59 cadillac it says look at the ceiling inside the car look over this side because there's a music playing out of a drive-in speaker let's see what's going on inside [Applause] [Music] [Music] all right show you some more like i said this show is definitely much bigger than the one in del mar let's just talk to a guy about that unfortunately there's no way to get any every single car at this meet or even come close to it [Music] i was trying to get into that 52 flexible bus but uh there's just too many people i think everyone's kind of lined up to get in there it shows that there's just a little bit of everything here i think i'm going to go over see if what's in the cars for sale for also at least we get a little bit of that in the video so by no means am i gonna be able to shoot every single thing here no matter how hard i try it's just not gonna happen [Music] i'm not i'm telling you every truck [Music] of this the matching chevy roadster there's one that's kind of interesting the cars for sale this is a 63 dynamic 88 oldsmobile for 28 000. once again remember the date of the video it will be in the description of the video so i'll be calling on these like many many months from now i'll show you a few more of the cars here it is actually starting to get a little bit more crowded now as the day goes on it's after noon now we've actually been looks like i lost a little bit of coolant there i'll come around this side it's a really really beautiful card i don't know if this is part of oh this one is for zelda's 57 star chief pontiac safari it's gonna keep yours for 89 000 so of course this is essentially pontiac's version of the nomad you can see is one of the entrances and people are just still pouring in 39 ford the 58 bel air i used to drive a 58 porter similar to that has a for sale sign on it but no other information okay took a regular mustang fastback and put shelby cobra badges all over it say what you will this is like a vet cart with an ls swapped into it of course what they do is they take a uh usually it's a c4 corvette because they're so cheap you can still find them for dirt cheap i think this is actually a later one it's maybe a c5 they cut it up and make a uh sort of make an interesting lightweight cart out of it [Music] usually when you see them they're done on a c4 though it seems like over in the for sale area cars are kind of mixed for sale and not for sale similar to pomona or long beach really is this uh 66 chevelle convertible to beers for 62 000 actually looks very tidy and speaking of c4 corvettes there's an 87 vet but 96 000 miles this is make an offer it's 87 it is an automatic it has the very 80s billet steering wheel which was the style back in the 80s and 90s and of course the wood kit the ever popular wood kit that a lot of these wound up getting [Music] and it's got like the billet looking wheels too how about a continental 87 this one come here for 3 500. [Music] you got to watch on these are these here right see the air ride suspensions collapsed uh you can you can swap in springs from a thunderbird is what works or you just wind up having the suspension collapse on you and it looks like it's uh it's like the trunk uh pull down is not working it has the thing that when you click the trunk it actually pulls it down some of the cadillac had something similar to so i'm guessing that's not working as well this is a nicely patinaed tin woody chevrolet this one's a 1952 model there's one similar this at the desert auction which i think is still that's still my number one video on the channel there was this auction out in the desert some guy that just had a horde of classic cars in the middle of lucerne valley and uh they were all auctioned off and i went out there and filmed it that video still gets a lot of views say f57 chevy portal hard top without a post there's the other area where there's like a lot of cars for sale unfortunately there's trees everywhere so the lighting isn't exactly the best for filming mercury with flames [Music] i got burnout competition going on i don't think i can get close enough so unfortunately i just could get nowhere near the burnout competition for you guys this is way too crowded over there they do have the 64 first gen econoline van here since we have a lot of van guys who watch the channel there's all your information this one is very clean yeah i'll take a little bit all right so let's talk about the guy who owns the uh vw bus here he's right there he watches the channel and his buddy just sold the uh first gen so that that one is sold i will announce here this one is still for sale the 67 for 23 500 there's the information look at the headliner look at the headliner in the van oh where's the headliner where's the headline oh well this one's already sold okay we gotta check out the headliner here let's do that hit the oh yeah pure shag there you go i still need to build out my second jet but that is i think i'm going to mess around with the 40. i got to finish up all the details on the matter of first the 72 bump side f250 16 000 i'll show you that one i said i think i'm gonna finish up the uh all the little things that the matador needs for safe driving and then maybe roll into the 40. [Music] see a little fair lane this one is 18 500. i think i'd be shooting a swap meet video at good guys but i am so this one's got the 289 in it well you winds are fans [Music] there's a 56 gmc pickup of the long bed variety this one has a 350 350 drivetrain computers for 20 000. says it's got a camaro rear end power steering power brakes tilt look in there these are not getting any cheaper at a matching 58 chevy long bed pickup with the original 283 with the four speed and a granny many years ago there's a 56 sedan deville 6 500 and she needs a lot of help it's like it was parked for many many many years it's got the aftermarket air conditioning delete right there that's where the air conditioning duct should be the the uh intake looks like she's been off the road since 1980 according to the license plate [Music] oh it's got the ac delete on both sides [Music] the neat early chevy van the sports van custom this is in really nice condition beers for 35 000. honestly there's not very many of these around in this conditions so if you look on the interior okay so i've been here for five hours already uh that's gonna really wrap things up here in pleasanton california for the good guys all-american gathering next week i'm planning to go hit the good guys meet in del mar which is a lot smaller uh but it's a lot more local for me so that'll be that'll be good to go hit so be sure to look out for that video i've always got different videos different car meets go back and check out some of my older ones uh be sure to like subscribe leave a comment what your favorite car was literally there was no way to get everything here this is just a massive show um and i've already been here five hours and i actually do have to be back in la tonight so that's what i'm i have for you so until next time i'll be seeing
