Good News + Bad News: RTX 4090 Ti and RTX 5090

today I have two major updates to discuss with you first the development progress of the RTX 1490 TI second the specifications of the Next Generation RTX 5090 as well as other RTX 50 Series graphics cards let's start with the RTX 490ti the RTX 4090 uses a cut down version of the ad-102 chip featuring 16 384 footer course out of the 18432 cores available in the fully enabled ad-102 chip it means that 11 of the Cuda cores are disabled in the RTX 1490 by pairing the full ad-102 chip with faster memory and increasing core clock frequency Nvidia can launch an RTX 1490 TI that is 10 to 20 faster in games than the RTX 4090 however as you can see from this gaming performance comparison the RTX 1490 currently doesn't have any direct competition amd's fastest graphics card the RX 7900 XTX is almost 20 behind the RTX 4090 so there is no pressure on Nvidia to release anything better one of the best Nvidia leakers who goes by the name of copyright has revealed that Nvidia shelved the plan to released the RTX 1490 TI indefinitely of course plans can change if AMD decides to release a graphics card that can match or beat the RTX 1490 Nvidia simply won't stand for it because they always want to be on the top no matter what but there is nothing like that from AMD on the horizon so if you were waiting for the RTX 4090 TI then I think it is time to quit just buy whatever you need now or wait for the next generation of graphics cards which brings us to the second topic of the day the RTX 5090 I've already made a video analyzing what kind of performance you should expect from it after you're done with this video go and watch that for a full breakdown if you are interested in more details I've left the link to it in the description below tldr is that you should expect the RTX 5090 to bring a 40 to 60 gaming performance uplift over the RTX 1490 70 at best but what you won't learn from that video is what I am about to tell you now about the RTX 5019 memory specifications at this point it is not a secret that for the next generation of graphics cards Nvidia will use the new gddr7 memory with up to 32 gigabit per second speed what is new is the leaked information confirming that the RTX 5090 will Feature A 512-bit Memory interface this means that the RTX 5090 is getting 32 gigabytes of memory which is 8 gigabytes more than the 24 gigabytes in the RTX 1490 that is if Nvidia decides to use the same 16 gigabit density memory chips but Micron has just announced that they are prepping gddr7 memory chips with 50 higher density for late quarter 2 2024. if Nvidia decides to go with the higher density memory then the RTX 59t may end up with either 24 gigabytes or 48 gigabytes of memory nvidia's decision will depend on availability and price of the memory as well as what the competitors are doing by extension this could be good news for other RTX 50 Series graphics cards further down the stack the memory capacity increase is well overdue because I don't think the market would take kindly to an RTX 5060 with 8 gigabytes of memory in 2025. now a word about the release date recently this Nvidia roadmap got leaked it tells us that the RTX 50 Series launch won't happen until 2025. most likely Nvidia is planning to launch the RTX 1590 in early 2025 as the high-end gpus are usually released first the company may push the release forward to late 2024 if it manages to complete the development early but don't expect to see any next-gen gpus from Nvidia earlier than that what do you think about the RTX 490 TI and the RTX 5090 let's have a chat about it in the comments if you enjoyed this video then reward it with a like to help boost the algorithm And subscribe for more if you haven't already it was I within until next time
