Going To Get Passports | Friday Night with Len & Dorothy

yesterday there was sun and there was rain Beauty in the morning welcome back to life my wife it is Friday morning but you're not seeing this until Tuesday um you want to start that over again oh it's Thursday it's not Friday oh boy anyways we had a funny morning so I told Kevin that I would get up at eight o'clock but if I woke up before my alarm I would get up and I woke up at seven so I get up and had my bath then I went in the bedroom and Brody was a little excited to see Mommy so Mommy and Brody cuddled up to Daddy and mauld them oh it's so funny when when Kevin and I go to kiss Brody gets right in there like no no it's hilarious then he came downstairs and he was like well you guys are going out so I gotta go in my kennel but he hadn't gone out to go party yet so we were like trying to convince him to go potty first [Music] or wait to be um passport office and then we'll be able to go for a nice drive anyway I gotta go to Dollar Tree and oh I think I it looks like others fighting with with the Winnie let me turn you around but she's like no Mommy I want to play she's trying to try to make her be nice just trying to Winnie are you taking mommy for a walk yeah oh you better be good girl well she was born in June so she's not a year yet and she's got the energy oh man she's got the energy beautiful sunshine snow's starting to melt start to see a little bit of grass here and there but it's nippy this morning it's like 18 18 something I can't remember the exact year that March has not got a buck that has not gone above zero yeah yeah crazy crazy renovating a bunch of hoses be nice when this world's done because it's constant clutter and the roads here all right well we'll cue the music and you can go along for the ride [Music] [Applause] if you keep this up I'll stay the night cause you have a way with me like no one else [Music] oh around [Music] me [Music] we are done at the passport office one hour and 55 minutes from a timely Park to get back in there yeah no not too bad nope nope I figured I knew it was going to be roughly around two hours yeah so we go for a bite to eat and then I have to go to Dollar Tree because I ran out of stuff to finish my last Easter project the mesh oh that's right I did so anyway we're downtown that building right there that's is [Music] um it's called across the board and it's a diner or a cafe I guess um and they've got shelves and shelves of games where you can book a table time and go in and have a bite to eat and play games at the same time it's kind of neat we've never been I think Katie has and I think behind it is where we went for that Putin that one time yeah yeah it's right in behind yeah yeah um I can't remember the name of it yeah I can't remember either he came to a Sal's Restaurant just a little diner one though it's not like the big ones that we've been to before it's the order at the cannon and then bring your food over to the table oh it's just a small little one breakfast [Music] yeah so that's the back of the restaurant right there it's just a little tiny building and it's one of the originals not the original one in in the city but one of the original unfortunately unfortunately it's closing because it's not um all the codes are not like you have to go through literally through their kitchen past the girls and everything and go downstairs to the bathroom yeah so and they said that the electrical was was outdated well they can build it oh yeah like here see it's just yeah yeah so the chain has been around since 1931. this store has been around since the 60s 60s so we're just going on a little drive we are going to a Dollarama dollar treat oh sorry that's all your fault you make me mix them up we're going to a Dollar Tree we've never been to yeah I mean I really I don't think we've been to every dollar brand a year no we've been to that one yes we have yeah there's an IGA grocery stores the only one in the entire city and there are far less Dollar Trees than there are dollars oh we're we have 30 something close close to 40. yeah um dollars and I think maybe if I count on the list 12 to 15 Dollar Trees yeah so but yeah so now I'm getting warm yeah it was cold when we left the house but well it's the sun we're hitting that season where the sun's closer coming in the windows yeah uh it heats the car up really quick yeah yeah there's an old-fashioned thrift store right there oh Helping Hands Thrift Store it's closed oh there is a I was going to use the bathroom at a Tim Hortons or a McDonald's or something but I went down the stairs of the restaurant uh and it's sad because their bathrooms did not look that old they've been remodeled in recent years so yeah but it's too bad that the electrical has issues as well because if it was just the bathroom they could take a corner of the restaurant and make a single bathroom upstairs there's room because it's just a little diner well really we are close to where Scott lives around here yeah he'll be coming home shortly normally April I think but it's gonna be late last year he's gonna be coming home with snow on the ground yep yep so um what was it gonna say something I forget because he started talking little Scotland squirrel I don't know oh boy anyway we'll catch back up let me get out of Dollar Tree or whatever after that nice drive we found a Dollar Tree that we had never been to no you're not getting up there buddy you come over to your chair come here come on [Music] and not that you needed it but we'll start with what we got you those are mine yeah I see those are mine daddy you gotta open now you gotta open all right we'll be back that was baby Oakland everything was a dollar fifty except for the creme eggs so we end up spending 4384. so those little Miniatures are to switch this from Spring to Summer rolls a couple of scrubbies kitchen she got some banana thingies frosties sailboats some burlap with white base that's the cream eggs and they got they're carrying these pepperoni sticks Kelly's gonna do something with that too yes Spruce it up couple bottles of uh chalkboard paint ers I haven't seen these at any of the other Dollar Trees I'm pretty sure Kelly will add her touch to those what else did you get a rub on too well [Music] oh yeah and we just stopped that storing it like navy beans and some but their buds are cheap those are only 2.99 oh wow yeah so I'm going to go and put these to soak until tomorrow meaning Friday um and we're gonna call it a day today but we'll be back tomorrow and we'll make the soup together so that's what we're gonna do okay so we'll see you tomorrow let's get this soup made so we had a pork roast so I chopped up the rest plus there's onions carrots and celery oh I missed a celery stick here all right and then I've got a can of diced tomatoes these ones are seasoned and I chopped up a couple slices of bacon just for some flavor so when my mom used to make this she used to use pork Hawk and then if she didn't have poor caulk she would use whatever pork she had left typically bacon just use whatever pork we've got left all right oh I need a little here and then so I've soaked these beans overnight and they've been rinsed [Applause] hmm I don't think I'm gonna fit them all in so [Applause] all right yeah man for seasonings whatever you want I'm gonna use some Chef's Choice all-purpose a little Italian [Music] foreign just for the heck of it I'm gonna throw some maple bacon [Music] [Music] [Music] all right stir that up oh foreign it's only eight o'clock in the morning it's gonna go all day we'll taste it later and see what we need to add for seasoning probably I'm gonna add some chicken bouillon later we'll be back I'm here because I got told to do this I'm not a willing participant but I have to do it just steamed everybody up well there we go we're gonna try the soup attempt to turn you around without dropping you oh that's yummy I don't know I'll try a bean I'm sure the beans are cooked it's been on all day yeah hey chummy okay you'll join us when we taste it bye you see well Kevin was testing the suit this is what Dorothy and I are doing we're playing we are I can't wait to show you the finished Touch of this card and if it turns out good then Dorothy and I'll do a tutorial on it another time so this Brody just come up see how we're doing in your body I don't know if you can use those ones up here no all right we'll be back I think that you're oh don't slap Daddy in the face is daddy and Uncle LED not listening what do you want you better tell them what you want so that he'll listen [Music] gonna go outside the pork that's in it she even made it I did all right here's this delicious soup mmm is it yum hmm and I got all these gross everybody out because I put ketchup on my bean soup and you think I'm weird for putting ketchup on my eggs no I don't think you're weird I just think it's gross it's not weird lots of people do it I just think it's gross [Laughter] oh that's funny and then I I did cut up a couple pieces of bacon just to have that extra flavor in here dessert and let me show you there's Dorothy Yum Yum Yum Yum there's Kevin's there's lens and there's mine one of these isn't like the others hmm strawberries and whipped cream nothing like it but angel food cake and strawberries I actually said to Kevin go get angel food cake and some and some fruit I didn't care what berries mm-hmm but um we're gonna play Mexican trains I'm excited oh that's something else I have it she's just from now to figure out what I'm gonna do with it oh I can tell you what to do with it yes I'm sure you could dear sure you could okay we got one of these and I need two of these these guys are gonna be my guys but it's gonna be short-lived wow okay Kevin goes first yeah he's still working I know he's still working okay [Music] you're disturbing the neighbors so don't let them end no I can't fight it's nice outside so Brody just argues with us so oh yeah oh yeah let Kevin be the bad man oh that's bad [Music] you know you can stay down your feet are cold you're wet no you're not getting any more Michael [Applause] yes
