hey everybody okay there we go i didn't press the go live button because that's new to me it should it should have done automatically so i apologize for that you missed my whole intro um but yeah so uh i am having some technical difficulties today obs is really messing up but uh so let me know if you can hear me all right let me know if the stream looks okay um and yeah we're just gonna be playing some games today uh i this is all gonna be games that have been submitted to me on this thread here this um i think it's called a thread uh on the go good oh jam community so if we go to the go go do jam and go to community you can see here it is playing your games live on stream it's also linked in the description um and yeah very excited i'm gonna be going from uh you know most recent posts onwards so we'll be starting here if you put any i have an echo okay does anyone else hear that echo cause i'm a little concerned i don't know why i have this echo one second one second i want to make sure that the stuff is working i shouldn't have an echo does anyone else see the echo oh yeah um okay so just so you guys know we're doing a great job making sure we're playing everybody's game uh and so adrian or redefine gamedev has already been so kind as to already fill out you know my position for all of your guys's games we're down here because i'm gonna play all these games and more today um so we're really trying to get through and actually have at least one person play all of your games although you know potentially more so anyway as long as everything is working out all right uh okay great great then we're gonna go ahead and get started i think i'm a pretty impartial judge um so yeah i'll do my best give you some feedback actually write your game stuff like that okay uh just fyi i'm on a mac i don't know how loud is that let me know how loud that is let's see i can go over here [Music] it looks like you should barely be able to hear that so let me know this is that's coming in at like 25 decibels [Music] i'm gonna go ahead and bump this up a little bit it's really nice music my voice is definitely pretty high above what this is at right now but please let me know i'm paying attention to the chat um growing old a cute theme this the music is cute this already looks cute also i really love this uh you know kind of character design here it's like pretty classic this 8-bit design i think it's like inspired by a very classic uh uh set here on io is there full screen nope okay that's cool credits play okay so arrows to move uh no wasd oh that's mean we we talked about the theme for a while and i'm pretty happy we settled on growth here interesting because like there's so many opportunities to like make cool things with growth like growing up to get any yet nope because like for instance like look at this i fit perfectly under here i'm sure he's thought of this but like you're eventually gonna grow so much that you can't get under something it's just tons of cool mechanics okay so those that's cool there we go can i eat did these like grow oranges i can eat um is this gonna work nah all right it i'm gonna unzoom sorry don't mean to cuss i meant to keep these pretty pg all right okay r oh those are very cool actually i wonder how long i can get shocked for do i just sit here oh my god that's awful okay oh god damn it [Music] is there slide is that what's happening there's a little bit of slide you got to be aware of but i like the movements pretty snappy i will say one thing that i battle with myself even all my games is like how much should i have the camera move um and i think i think there's a little bit too much snap here um i'm sorry uh smoothing it like it's a little too elastic i'd like it to be a little bit i'm sorry the other way i'd like to be a little less um snappy so i just i feel like it's pretty aggressive considering how small the player is but the movement despite me having some trouble with it actually it's pretty nice the sounds are nice it's smooth very responsive we knew that would happen oh my my growth is resetting every time i'm blowing it huh nice i don't is it can i even do this no i don't think you can can i do this way i mean i don't see why that would work but just go for it nah there's no way i think i think the only way uh i could do that is if like [Music] oh my god it's all me though you know i'm like uh okay i'm just gonna kill myself not only in the game nice can you climb these no okay but you can do this okay oh am i doing something wrong here oh okay that was tight oh it's funny that you put a warning for cartoon electrocution because i haven't really seen that so far okay [Music] these are a little tight oh my god i would say that i think it should be a little easier in the beginning maybe i'm just trash but um yeah the slide is also like something i think you slide just a little bit too much for me personally especially given how unforgiving the corners are but i do like i don't know if using move and slide with snap or anything like that uh no i can't play anything that is uh exported for okay i'm glad you said that uh redefined because i'm starting to feel like i'm terrible at videos you really have to time those jumps perfectly um and i know i do enjoy when that happens occasionally but i think these are just a little too tough like there's no forgiveness you have to do it absolutely perfectly um i oh my god yes okay okay i know this thing yeah baby hell yeah okay whoa come at me okay i'm starting to get this starting to get the hang of it [Music] yes you oink it thank you uh i wish you could it'd be cool if you could climb these because like now i know i'm trapped [Music] that's cool can i hop on top of that yeah i don't think i'm getting that oh okay maybe i'm not as ass at games as i thought oh yeah as i am okay um so i think that's enough for this game i definitely enjoyed playing that game um so i would say gameplay we'll give it a four it's a little too tough i would say um i gotta i it's hard for me especially now on stream because i'm always like very generous with my ratings design five as a max music yeah i'll give you a five it's pretty sweet i really liked it um yeah uh theme i you know what i think the idea i'm gonna give it um i'm between a three and a four because growing old is fantastic right also using the trees at growing them as a checkpoint that's a four at least considering five but i didn't get to see myself grow old maybe just because i suck but i feel like i couldn't have been that bad and uh maybe i just didn't get it but um jade the kobold what's up man um yeah i just i did i wish i got to see that grow mechanic like i don't know if i was just missing it but uh yes that's why you're getting a four out of five uh innovation um i know that was innovative i'll give that three stars and i think i'll keep this so that's where i'm gonna rate you there the first guy would ever write my game give me a two stars on everything just fyi live on stream so i think you got out okay let's see definitely five on design really like the music theme i'm gonna do the four um innovation yeah it's kind of innovative uh given that what you've done with the the theme and stuff well i'm gonna yeah three stars that's what it gets okay gameplay i'm between three and four again i think i'm gonna leave it at a four though okay there we go that's that rating and we've went ahead and uh that should already be saved growing old growing what what it's called growing old are these the people huh that's odd ah that's why okay cool all right cool so yeah these are all in there i'm gonna trust that redefine did that for the rest of these but very cool like the game for sure uh i as i said i think my only improvements would be uh potentially maybe making the movement a little tighter and making it a little easier is at least in the beginning it should be easier and then get progressively harder i honestly felt like it was harder in the beginning and then got easier which is the opposite of what you should want to do right you want to make it when the player is unfamiliar with the controls to kind of um make their life a little easier and uh yeah but other than that love the music i love the art thought it you know i didn't get to see it grow old but i love that theme and i really like that the trees grew as a checkpoint i think i think that's very cool um okay cool cool cool uh now we'll go ahead and go over to ozmeista's game great idea here's our contribution performance is better if you can download it let me click it they have a mac download the thing that's confusing to me and maybe i just don't understand but like unless godot is different on windows like i just i always just export for windows linux windows and html5 and sometimes html kind of sucks and that's just the nature of the beast but godot has all those so i don't understand especially on this jam why anyone wouldn't but i'm gonna go ahead and download any games that you want me to download i'm going to download also if they have a download and html i'll try play the html and then if the the quality is bad then i'll try the downloaded version um just to give you the benefit of the doubt it's like i had to re-install obs studio because i definitely update and it broke obs studio and now i'm using like a weird dryer thing i don't know i mean i doubt anyone cares but just weird stuff okay so that's cool it opened the zip is am i missing something okay so this is normal it's gonna say damage and uh oh damaged is not good that means so you made this on a mac i mean a pc then um there's like some stuff you can do it's kind of like let's see so first thing most apps will say that yeah so this is not giving me the option here so what i actually have to do i don't even remember is we go to where is it show package contents contents uh i think it's this i'm gonna have to play it online i forgot how to do it but there's a way so essentially because there's a space in the name here it breaks and you have to like rebuild this as a executable after here let's quickly because i want to give that's probably i'm probably going to run into that problem a few times today because i want to max so let me see if i can quickly solve that um so let's see if i go back here what there we go okay is damaged and can't be opened mac how to open that you have to use the terminal too which is fun but uh i ain't moving your game to the trash just yet son okay re-download the app nope this might be an idiot's tutorial try did you try restarting your computer install available system okay use zatar this is probably what i'm looking for uh this is sort of the last resort uh command link user to view and remove extended attributes from a file on the mac um that's not it it's like it's different um what does it mean it says it is damage um see no that's not the case whoa wait what what are you doing we should proceed with installation anyway nope that's this is old this is old i don't know i might have to just play this on because i don't want to watch a video absolutely can't be opened crash fix why how yep this is it okay you may want to open it blah blah blah it is known that sometimes that mac os gives this error mistakenly uh software update um preference secure privacy anywhere uh gatekeeper this is easy but the newer version of mac os does not have the option changing this easily uh but going through system preferences security and privacy selecting the anywhere option however you can still do that using the terminal app here's how oh i don't think that's gonna work in this case but uh onto the terminal app okay let's launch terminal uh you may also use spotlight so i should launch it oh that's interesting uh enter the there we go okay i thought it said let's see that works and okay let's give it a shot yeah it's not gonna work ah okay i don't think this will work all right well unfortunately we're just gonna have to play i got a message probably telling me to oh no just nothing okay um yeah so unfortunately i'm gonna have to play this on html if it's really bad you know maybe i'll just come back to it later um but yeah i don't want to waste too too much time trying to figure that out i'm glad actually i'm really surprised and humbled that you all stayed with me through that because i know that's not the funnest thing i definitely feel this pain i made this is my fourth game uh for this game jam and this is the first time where i had this issue now i can see that's clearly 3d which is probably a lot of the issue playing 3d games on html just does not work that great uh who knows why with godot um i love that okay so far maybe while that's loading i can try and figure out oh go to the top please come on okay mac cannot open wall so i still have it pasted nope okay oh there we go loaded okay start game so far fails also by the way i don't know if you saw that but all characters and events in the game are entirely fictional um when let's see if this is working here when uh i clicked on that you saw there's a little blue outline the way you fix that is you just go uh into whatever button you have and you go into custom styles and then do custom style focus and just click um custom style or new empty and then you won't get that anymore okay yeah so this is gonna take a little bit page unresponsive i'm gonna wait let's see but yeah i think he's dead right i don't think this is gonna work out too hot unless i figure this out here uh blah blah blah you should move okay max fix executable error yes cancel i think i actually wrote this down oh is my stream lagging yeah my computer okay okay jeezy script masala i don't know okay hmm fix yeah whatever all right is the stream working again yeah so sorry about that i was trying to see if i wrote it down here uh we're not going to be able to play this game for right now so i'm going to just reply we'll come back later um can't get it to run on mac say try whoa sorry i've also got my my gaming pug here on my lap which makes this a wee bit difficult okay we'll come back later can't go to run on mac uh try exporting uh without spaces and name so essentially i don't know how to do it anymore and i'll spend some time figuring that out later but when the problem with that is is that the executive file has a space in it which causes it not to work uh and so what i do or what you did do is you go here show package contents and then we'd go right here or maybe it's the pck file and then if you delete these i think it breaks it though i definitely cannot wrap okay wait wait open hey oh no no no oh okay there we go um cancel oh wait no i should do that okay let's try this i think i figured to do it i guess i don't have to maybe it's not gonna work let's let's give it a shot okay hey okay so just so everyone knows that's how you fix it um so i'm very excited that that worked we'll go ahead and full screen that a story about personal growth ooh i hope this doesn't make me depressed okay cool um yeah come on you were dead right there was something missing from jensen's life on paper his life was pretty good but he yearned for something else he wanted a fine purpose but most of all he wanted to find himself jensen was determined to start this journey he had wrestled with the task for many years and he felt that the time for action whoa blood sugar must be low get his okay quickly [Applause] all right that's great okay push chances no oh you dirty dog push chance into cakes before his blood sugar drops too low get five cakes to complete each level jansen grows as he eats and can break some i know you guys can read but i just like to do this chance and grizzly uh eats and can break some walls you can also push objects with your broom uh move with wires jump with space push with left mouse button pause game with p restart from pause menu okay let's begin okay nice all right where are these cakes all right there's one ah okay oh his blood sugar's running out you guys push him push oh ah jason good good good this is like lucky a little bit like that is it break it jason jason okay i gotta get him over there dude dude how did you think of this also i would be scared to do this guy i'd be like say someone say i was like body shaming or something just by the bye fun fact about me i actually was morbidly obese and i lost 130 pounds um and uh i still think the whole fat shaming thing's a little a little overblown not not dumb because i was definitely fat shame but i think people are a little little too sensitive coming for someone who was morbidly obese for a lot of their life um so yeah you can't say i guess you could oh come get your cake it's okay but that's the last cake oh no oh we gotta break the wall i'm so excited all right come on jason let's do this boom what jason break it i will say i think the broom is a little unresponsive uh maybe i'm just confused on how to use it but like i click and it doesn't seem to go um i tried clicking and holding but maybe i should be a little i'm kind of like worried about the time to like kind of play around completion time 101 seconds cool yeah so again the way to fix you those buttons is you go to like custom styles custom file box um what kind of adventures the cars have witnessed this daughter affected his own ambitions will he stand there's have weaknesses [Applause] oh there's some cake you can break glass getting in you don't really need it i guess i kind of do oh jason his blood sugar is low also i don't know if this is not pc but uh i think like the icelandic accents are just like hysterical i love them like oh i'm watching the show on netflix called ragnarok right now and it's all like dubbed in english but it's like dubbed by icelandic um speakers some norsemen oh god no where's the fifth cake oh we're screwed we're screwed jason jason dude you're oh my god he's about to go into shock can i destroy buildings yeah i think jason's dead can i let's see if i can stop a car with him though no come on sick where's the cars no oh damn it okay all right well i mean i'm pretty down for this game you guys i got i got to say like like i was genuinely laughing my freaking ass off like that was that was not fake i thought that was hysterical okay very cool um let's see open i want to quit our mini setup but yeah so very uh loving that also for anyone else who is on a mac all you have to do is delete those spaces there very cool uh for some reason i thought i had to do something difficult like after you change the name it like broke the file so you had to do something in terminal to recreate it into a exe executable file but yeah dude i'm so glad i stuck it out to play that game because that was freaking epic all right let's go rate this thing so gameplay i'm gonna give it a four um yeah i think a four is is pretty appropriate it was really enjoyable and hysterical design i don't even know what that really means to be honest i should because i'm the judge music we'll get that i'm gonna go the four for music theme five innovation five um design and um we'll go four bring this down to a three yep there you go that's the rating um because like if it wasn't hysterical would i love the game probably as not as much like it's honestly like it's the game is made by the fact that it's absolutely hysterical but like imagine this was just like a bowling ball i'd be like okay what's the point it's just funny because i'm pushing a guy around um so that being said like that's why i think that uh design and theme and innovation are up high but i think gameplay um i'm gonna rate it a little bit lower but i think that's pretty fair really enjoyed that uh that was hysterical so great job let's go back to community here okay let's see if you guys didn't know those actually i'm gonna let's see do i do now i have to think about do i agree with my rating i can change it of course um thank you jade i appreciate this design is the game design including convenience accessibility and so on um but i'm gonna bump it up to a four oh no i'm sorry this is a three and then we'll keep design yeah i'll keep design at a four because like i said the brush thing was kind of confusing um i also didn't like visibly see him growing that much i think he was visibly growing but it wasn't obvious to me so i think i would have liked to make that obvious and to break walls i would have liked that to be a little bit easier to do um like after you get one cake it should be relatively easy to break some things um and yeah i don't know pretty cool um but yeah we definitely really enjoy that game like i don't want you to get the bad idea i just need to try and be very oh sick this looks cool um i you know very my problem is usually the opposite i usually like i'll give you five stars on this this this and it's like you know i got now i'm a real judge i have to be a little more like okay this is what you actually get even though i'm already still bad at that as you can see okay so no we've only got we have a max no there is no mac download that's a bummer so can't play that one um so i don't know why though because you can you totally could just do it right um ah okay okay okay that's thank you jade um i think i still agree with what i had said then gameplay i don't understand though because like i don't even think about it like i just click i just add all the exports and just add them all for good because you made it with godot of course right because it's the jam and godot has all those export templates compiled for you right so i don't understand why you wouldn't do that i'm sorry though i can't play it but yeah okay can't play upload html or mac okay cool cool so sorry about that yeah i definitely it looks really cool i would love to do that so yeah okay so just going back to mechanics are part of gameplay but how your goal okay so perfect yeah yeah i would say that this i'm happy with that reading then okay cool okay ooh would love to see you play my game actually honestly you know what i should do because i'm trying to be fair here is uh these are good i think this needs to come down to a three because it was one song in the same i mean the voiceover was pretty good but yeah okay anyway all right solzhenick minor bugs i recommend downloading okay let's click and he's got mac so i'll go ahead and download the mac version as he had recommended okay zip should be able to run it from terminal privacy you know what i should also probably do is turn my music off is the is the music bothering you guys do you think i should turn that off um yeah that's why i i always just upload them and then just say like hey um let me know if these work or don't work or anything you need to do um like i i also have not tested the windows or linux version and i know that my hto html version sucks like i don't want that to be people's interpretation of my game because i know it's the quality is terrible but you know it's like some people are like yeah i can't do this like let me just play it and then like you know some people are going to be weird and be like oh this game's so slow it's like yeah it's on html but most people are pretty understanding we're all game devs right so most people are going to be like yeah like it's a pretty fun game and i understand that the limitations of html so anyway don't be afraid of uh people there we go uh of people being like oh it's bad because it's slow on html like most most of us are game devs we know that it's gonna run slow in html and we're not getting the full experience okay automatic full screen start credits again you've got this blue line and you can fix that by going to custom styles and setting the custom styles focusable to stylebots empty credits quit let's start what we got yeah okay so i was just pressing buttons to see if i could make anything happen but i broke it oh no there we go whoa that's cool whoa how do i can i pick these up okay how did i do that space how the hell did i just do that mouse all right let's see if you've said controls wasd arrow keys hmm growberry's plants i definitely like this mechanic oh how did i pick this up oh it's down okay cool cool and then i can plant it lit that's very cool i like that the graphics are obviously pretty simple but i dig them and i definitely like the mechanics quite a bit oh is this like a learning moment like we can't go too close to the edge here let's see oh scheisse how do i do this can i take this out of the ground oh okay this is good it's like teaching me okay see like i mean learning to i think that's like i always struggle with that as well is like how much you just literally tell the player and how much do you um make them figure out themselves because obviously you want a nice mix there and i think that in this case uh i think that it would have been good to tell me that wasd is move uh and then s is like pickup and then let me figure out that i could like pick them up again um i think that's that's really cool um but yeah i struggled with the same thing and in fact in my game solenoid a lot of people had no idea that you like couldn't collect these things that were just totally visual just these lights and uh i don't know i guess i did let them figure that out themselves okay how do i do this this is how i would assume you do this oh i probably just have to okay oh no oh i know oh no that's not it oh come on okay my idea would be this oh why is that not working hmm i'm just going right through it it's [Music] weird damn it huh okay tutorialization yeah this is a cute fun little game yeah thanks jade yeah i think it's it is a nice balance that it's kind of hard to to tell and especially because i've gotten definitely gotten criticism on that before and i've also played games where it's like you know someone tries to explain like 30 controls in 10 seconds and you just get overwhelmed so but i think i think yeah i think it's not too too complicated where it's like a killer for this one but uh please tell me if anyone knows um oh i'm sorry i was doing the right thing well so it's this one this one oh that i think that one might have been my fault oh come on oh it's kind of hard to aim it oh yeah i don't know if it's me or the game at this point yeah i'm leaning towards the game it's because that should have worked here maybe what if i pick it up again plant it whoa okay that's cool i was like damn what more of this game can there be and look at that very nice i would say i think you probably could maybe this wasn't what you're going for but you could add a little bit of acceleration stuff to your movement so it's not so flat and um yeah but i think it's fun still don't get me wrong okay new plants to plant oh okay okay oopsies that's my bad i'm not like usually a platformer guy but this is actually pretty fun i like the way you've uh implemented these mechanics and i was like trying to make a platform and i'm like like why am i making a game that i don't really like like to play myself that much um but this is like i like ah i like the different mechanics there we go all right now we've got we're doubling it up here oh okay that should have been obvious cool same you'll hear it imagine can i do this no i thought that'd be freaking sick hmm oh i see you're playing the long game wait no i'm actually okay okay i see what you're trying to do no i don't actually oh he's got a pee okay all right dude i'm i'm a fool all right i'm gonna beat this level and i'm gonna move on to the next game but uh i'm i think it's a pretty solid game no oh you fool all right let's grab that bad boy um but now that i have this i'm still a little confused on how exactly do i grab that one no because i need to get this up oh dir okay okay there we go nice oh now there's enemies now i gotta stop there's there's a lot of games to play but the cool game cool game um like i said i think my my only critiques were to one maybe show the pickup command at the beginning the first time and then let them figure out the actual like skills and ways to use it um i think maybe adding a little bit of smoothness to the movement would have been good um so gameplay give it a four design um i'm gonna give that a free music sfx we'll give that a four theme i'll get this three theme definitely a five innovation uh i'll give you a four there all right there you go yeah i thought it was a good game um i really actually like enjoyed the the gameplay which you know like i said i've got a tiny bit of a stigma against platformers i just typically don't enjoy them that much like i hate failing over and over again but uh really enjoyed that again this is the second time i've seen it and i struggled with this remember that you can get rid of that blue square if you've got that issue okay cool cool we're moving on to the next one let me make sure that he's got that so let's go here and say acorn super acorn sweet sweet sweet um i also was like pretty interested to see where you're going with the story on that one but uh yeah okay so that was super acorn quest here we go oops he's trying to open these in new tabs oh i really hurt my back a few days ago and i'm still working on that one but uh you know forrest find the way home oh like what you did there 2d 2d puzzle platform i really like puzzle games so let's see we'll see what happens i already tell i'm going to like these i really like really simple graphics like that so i'm getting a five on those for suresies okay run game play help okay um no movement directions but okay wasd okay okay double jump nope what wait why why would you do that is there okay use this he's doing a shimmy shaking the moneymaker yeah thanks for checking out the stream and thanks for making the game dude that was a really great game um uh us to reset those the type of stuff that i think you should put in the game somewhere it doesn't take too long to do so um now do i like use that to grow the plant is there no music all right no music oh that did something okay how do i use abilities yeah there's no i i would recommend that if you don't put it in the game you at least put it in the description because i have no idea what to do here you're pressing every button on my keyboard see if something happens space would have been my first guess but okay well so i need the i'm assuming i need the keys so what do i do with this guy is that hurting me i have no idea because i would also assume that maybe that one okay i think there's a help in the game it might be on the title screen all right let's go ahead and go to the title screen then help okay select item one two three four jump w a d nothing tells you how to use anything okay all right let's go for it i really don't think that you should just put something where you have to restart though personally but that's just my my thing so i'm assuming i'm not going to be able to get that that's so creepy okay oh that's cool these are moving based on the movement so you use some parallax effect that's definitely cool also he gets you back up there hmm [Music] yeah didn't think that would help me but hey okay you start am i just jumping too early no i'm not gonna make that hmm oh he's like charging at me that's funny yeah well now i've got one key maybe does that do something nope there's no way to use stuff danilo game is pretty fun i think there's help in the game it might be on the title screen left click to use you can throw the ball at the enemy is this the enemy left click is not working can i use no let's know i i feel like if there is a way to somehow restart from the last like goof up you made that would be cool like more kind of checkpoints interspersed those throughout um because i felt like i was having to redo quite a bit um yeah so anyway so yeah cool game definitely i think these all kind of fit uh i do think the music was a little bit there's no music which is a little weird in fact i'm gonna give you a two there uh but the rest of the stuff was yeah pretty good good stick to the theme definitely use the growth there um well we'll do four and yeah it's pretty innovative okay cool all right let's see five colors okay each stage starts off easy with only two possible colors but gets more difficult as you progress push this button repeatedly as needed to cycle through the colors in order to make your selection the colors will display on the indicator light above when you'd like to make a guest check on the check button or we'll check your response against the correct answer if you're correct a green box will indicate you are correct uh if incorrect okay okay that's enough i'll figure that out but cool i think that's handy um i do think that like we were talking about the kind of balance i think you probably could have intervened that throughout the actual gameplay and made like a tutorial level on how to do that but uh i i definitely appreciate that to not really knowing dude stage one level one this looks cool music is a tad bit quiet but that might just be my bad i don't know how you guys can hear it um yeah see like i don't want to skip a story like i want to read the story but that was too slow for me so what i like to do is like you know you can press like skip once and it just completes the text um and you can click skip again to skip to the next we know check those those are yellow there we go oh wait what's this one ah i see okay so this is yellow uh oh now i forgot i think it's this and this or yellow no this and this and this are yellow yep okay ah oh it's a roguelite that's sick that's very sick you start over from the beginning i dig that well i actually don't know if i dig that because now these are kind of like annoyingly trivial at this point so i do think it'd be nice if you could remember your progress and at least start like now i'm at stage stage two and i start from level one at stage two like some kind of checkpoint system i think that would be cool i really like the core game mechanic i think it's really solid um i mean there's no bugs whatsoever i'm playing i'm like i'm really clicking these things fast right and not having any kinds of issues here so like you know that's nice it's very smooth very fluid it looks nice i think i don't know if it's just me but i feel like the sounds and music could be louder but i like them i like the sounds of these clicks i really like that um yeah that's i mean that's like the type of thing you can get into okay and then yeah i mean cool man very very cool um i'm gonna stop playing it because i'm addicted to it but um yeah i like that i have my own strategy so gameplay-wise uh i want to give it a five does it deserve a five i'm gonna give it a four because i think that it is i really think that you should allow some kind of checkpoint system because i really don't like that i have to start all the way back over like those levels are kind of like the first few levels were really great for having me like understand the mechanic but now i feel like it's like you know like i get it it's just me solving these ones that aren't like complex enough for where i'm at right so maybe have like some kind of selection where you could select each stage you've gotten to thus far and i think this is definitely a game where you should just like and then you get to stage like stage two level seven and then you you're stuck there until you can beat that stage right um you know kind of make this more like candy crush this could be a mobile game dude like you could i think you could develop this in a mobile game for sure 99 cents sell this this is a great idea i think this is probably even though very simple at least in my opinion one of the best games i've played thus far so apologies to everyone else who who i obviously did not say that to design four or five hmm i'm actually gonna scroll up to what jade said and uh keep down where did you say this okay the mechanics are part of the gameplay but how clear your goals are how old the game taught you how to play it without outside help in design and also the looks i'll give you a five on design sfx music will go for four theme um i'm gonna give you three i don't think we saw too much growth here uh obviously the levels progressed and got harder and you got more rings so that's why you're not getting like a one or something because there is that but you know just like my game i expect my game to get two stars maybe three for theme um because it was just a fun game and cool i want to use godot so don't you know don't beat yourself up on that score it's just you know it's a great game that's just not that much into the growth theme uh innovation i mean to be honest i don't know how um i'll give you a five at least you know this is my rating i've never played something like this before and it's so simple right really great really really great game i really enjoy that awesome and that's cool that you're here so i get to compliment you in person um yeah i think picking stages would be really helpful uh definitely no no the sound is good the thing is you could also do um you could have the settings where people could change the sound volume uh you know give people the option typically i try to make my uh audio right so just it's like a kind of thing they do when they're editing videos it's like a standard you put music at negative 25 decibels and you want to make everything else at about negative 5 to negative three decibels and some people argue that range but usually negative 20 to negative 25 is where you want to put music uh and that's kind of how i put stuff and then of course you can change those in audio settings in most of my games but uh you know it's a little bit complicated i kind of implemented that in like the last 10 seconds of my game but it's whatever uh anyway yeah great game love to play that let's move on how many games we have so we got bold honor next got quite a few but i i think i should be able to finish before my girlfriend comes home hopefully uh because she's most likely gonna be very stressed because she's working in the hospital right now oh wait this is uh i already played this game and rated it but i'll give it a quick play because i'm sure he's very excited to have me play it on stream um and then i can give my like live thing so i never got to like actually see what that ship is about like it's it's like this looks very cool and i got okay left left mouse button whoa i didn't hear that one before so yeah one one gripe i would say is like i really wish i could use wasd to move especially if i have to use the mouse now i have to like put my hand over here okay the more you channel the bigger you get the other day as she was trying to say the words correctly a purple lightning beam shot from the shadows of the forest and transformed her husband into a cat a witch quickly flew and snatched her now transformed husband lilith quickly follows as the witch retreated deeper in the force then she had seen the witch go into the forbidden dungeon grips her spell book and gets ready to dive right in that's a funny way she gets ready to just dive right in okay um cool okay once the plant is summoned to aim move the mouse cursor so okay that's nice that's a nice smooth movement right there like that i well no there's no acceleration but it's nice that you've got eight directions that's cool okay what i do with the mouse right click once the plant is summoned oh nice you had a light occlusion that's cool um let's see oh space key to summon whoa oh that's cool that's such a hardcore noise for a plant oh i like that shoot sound too okay cool uh how'd it go back sir am i missing something how game definitely you know had some fun playing that i liked uh yeah like i said i think it would be really cool to expand upon this and have like different plants that you could summon um you know what i mean and like they had different recharge rates so you could only like could just plant as many and also probably make a little bit of a limit to how epic they were like i kind of they're a little too powerful i don't think it was very balanced it was a little too easy because the plants were so powerful so i would probably do that and actually let's do that uh in the future oopsies okay and uh actually so good yeah i actually thought the the sound effects of the goats and dragons was very good i really it was very like fitting for like you know that kind of 8-bit sound i loved it okay currently including build three plantable defenses three enemies five level spawning and difficulty fully working menus controls escape uh positive resumes the game e toggles the ui on and off left click um defenses icon to activate planting mode right click to exit planting mode without planting all assets are self-created except for baby party font all right yeah it's actually pretty hard to make a font i i found out shouldn't be but it is protect the magic tree butt game instructions credits quick game uh i'm just gonna see if i can figure it out [Music] allium mint bug zapper is mint although i did notice that if you're going one way and then switch uh the the trails do not the flip the sprites so that's something you could uh i think you could do but yeah i mean so game play give you three design three sfx music three theme [Music] two innovation two uh but i mean it's the movement is good smooth that's a it's a solid foundation for a game but yeah all right cool cool nice
