[Applause] let's everybody lift our hands and magnify the Lord together could we everybody in the house let's magnify the Lord together father we love you and worship you we magnify you we honor you we lift you up your name is to be praised above every other name we love you Jesus we love you Lord Jesus we love you Lord Jesus we love you Jesus thank you for your presence we feel in this house let your will be done here today in the name of the Lord I ask it in the name of the Lord in the name of the Lord in the name of the Lord in the name of the Lord in the name of the Lord praise God oh there's a beautiful presence of the Lord in this house today aren't you glad you're in the house of God shake hands with somebody and tell them we serve a wonderful God now shake hands with somebody and tell them you're wonderful one more time tell him you and God make this a wonderful Church are you glad you belong to Bible World Church today I'm glad I'm a part of his church glad I'm a part of this church somebody said Amen I want to say a great big very special thank you to this great church for the way you responded this week to the brown family to the loss of brother Ronnie Brown that we all love so very very dearly the way you showed up Wednesday evening the way you showed up on Thursday the food that was brought the service that was rendered the kindness the condolences everything that was done this week all those that participated in any way thank you I'm going to say it again this is a great church to belong to this is a great church to be a part of I thank God for you this has been a week like none other in all of my pastor it I've never had three seniors pass in one week but on Wednesday as we were preparing for brother Browns home going we got word within one hour of each that sister Whitley had passed and not that sister Valerie creeps mother and the Whitley's were part of this church probably 3040 years ago a long long time ago and and in their latter years and very very bad health they've come as often as they could but sister Whitley went to be with the Lord and then within an hour I got news that sister Mattie Cobb had went to be with the Lord and so we will have two more memorial services this week tomorrow at one o'clock will be the service for sister Whitley and you are invited to be here and be a part of that if you're able to do so and we are providing food for the family after that memorial service so thank you in advance for helping where you can and how you can and then on Friday at noon will be the service for sister Maddie Cobb that's this Friday at noon will be her service and again we'll be providing food and various things for their family at that time and your help is again needed I hope we don't ever have another week like this but I do very much appreciate knowing that we've got a church that wins when it's time to step up this church is going to step up and I thank you for that thank you very much for that tonight I will be continuing my five messages that are above you on these banners last week I preached about God I want you to get glory out of my life tonight I'm going to be preaching the second one learn to reflect and what that really means and what I pray every day is God helped me to see me the way you see me amen help me to take a good honest look at me every day every morning when I pray those prayers now here's a mistake that we often make when praying a prayer like that when we say God I want you to help me to see me the way you do we tend to think I want you to let me see all the bad that you see God now every now and then we do need to be honest with ourself about the things we can do better on but we also need to ask God to let us see the good that we're doing and the good that's in us and so that's what we're going to be talking about tonight God helped me to take a good honest look at me help me to take a transparent look at myself so that I can see the good end the bad know where I'm doing good where I'm serving you right where I can do just a little bit better and that'll be in service this evening I hope you're praying by the every single morning this rule of five I do every morning I did this morning god I want you to get glory out of my life god I want you to help me to see me like you see me god help me to lead in faith it's important that I'm influencing positively the people that are around me that I work with people at school people in my family people on the job in the neighborhood people I rub shoulders with I pray God help me to love your word and I pray God hide help me to hide your word down in my heart and then last of all I ask God to help me to have a blessing tongue now folks when we get to lesson number five I'm going to have fun with that one I'm just forewarning you just wear your parachute and your all that stuff that night just get ready we're going to have a lot of fun when we talk about learning how to have say the right words how to be kind how to lift up how to encourage somebody said a man how to have a blessing tongue well glory say Amen or o me sometimes Omi's just as fitting as a man my subject today I'll let you sit down in just a moment but my subject today is God is my strength and power would you say that with me God is my strength and power let's say it with kind of mucho gusto let's really say it God is my strength and power say it again God is my strength and power I'm taking my text today from the declaration of the psalmist David as recorded in 2nd Samuel chapter 22 verses 29 to 33 listen as I read David said for thou art my lamp Oh Lord and the Lord will lighten my darkness verse 30 I love for bi.v have I run through a troop and by my god have I leaped over a wall as for God his way is perfect the word of the Lord is tried he is a buckler to all them that trust in him for who is God saved the Lord and who is a rock save our God verse 33 swear my text comes from God is my strength and power and he maketh my way perfect now I want y'all to know something there's about six months of preaching in those four or five verses right there there's a lot of preaching in these verses today I want to deal with verse 33 God is my strength and my power god bless you you may be seated let me be very frank with you up front this morning and as your pastor and Shepherd of this church tell you that I think there is way too much talk about the devil in our circles want that to sink in just for a moment I think we talk way too much about the devil about what he's doing about what he knows or doesn't know about what he's capable of about his Dominion his influence his strength and I partly blamed that on Hollywood because Hollywood has always magnified the devil you never see a Hollywood movie that's got anything demonic or or spiritual in it that makes the ugly nasty demonic spirit a weakling it's always something that's tough and scary and can do all kind of crazy carry things and we've got to be careful in the Church of the Living God that we don't and that we're not guilty of magnifying the enemy above his position I want to point out to you that in the beginning there were three Archangels there was Michael and then the Bible talks about Lucifer three Archangels that that exist at Gabriel the the worshipper and Michael the warrior and and Lucifer the the one that was the the the he had the Bible said his voice was like the harps and and the pipes of an organ here is the three Archangels and one Lucifer dares to exalt himself to be equal to God and because of that God picked Lucifer and one-third of the angels out of heaven and that's what makes up the demonic Kingdom today we don't talk nearly enough about angels we talk way too much about Devils I could get up here today and take in a different track than I did I could have said folks you need to know I've been fighting with the devil this week all of you to setup in your seat I could have said he came to my room last night I looked over in the corner and there was a cloud of smoke and I felt an evil spirit in my room and fear filled the room and you'd be gone I talked about angels you just sit there ladies we need to understand that there were three Archangels there were three thirds of the angels that were assigned one third to each of those Archangels when Lucifer was kicked out he took one third of the angels with me with him let me take you all the way back to the first grade or maybe even preschool three take away one leaves two for every little salt off ugly weak-kneed lying devil there are two great big majestic angel of the Lord for every devil that's against you there are two angels for you the angels are still in heaven and plugged into the presence of God the devil and all of his hints have been kicked out of heaven and no longer have access to the power of God somebody said amen I guess I've come to preach to the church today that you're stronger than you know I've come to tell somebody here today and this church collectively today that the devil don't have power over us not one little little teeny tiny bit but you and I have power over the devil there's not a power in this universe greater than the power of God that is in us that is with us that is here right now somebody ought to be shouting hallelujah somebody that's been fighting with the devil needs to get a revelation this morning that the devil is not in charge God's in charge and I'm a child of God [Applause] somebody shout yes come on shout yes we need to stop acting like the devils win in the fight you notice we don't have testimony services in church anymore how many of you been around long enough that you remember testimony services do you know why we quit testimony services because people testify more about the power of the devil than they do God you can have All Saints you need to know of him fighting with the devil always having a testimony that's declaring the devils went in the battle and he's not that's making him more powerful than he is that's given him glory first stuff he really can't do I am convinced sister Ramona Turner I am convinced that if the devil has a birthday party in Hell once a year and they say blow out the candles and make you a wish I believe his wish every year is I wish I was as powerful as Apostolic people think I am some of you afraid to clap it's like don't know if I want to clap about the devil or not don't want him get mad at me I want him mad at me he needs to know I'm mad at him he needs to know I'm mad at him and the Holy Ghost in me is not afraid of him somebody shout yes we need to stop acting like he's winning he's not winning nothing oh brother Cunningham do you listen to the news all brother Cunningham are you watching television all brother Cunningham did you hear about this and hear about that yeah I heard about all of that but did you hear that the blood of the lamb was applied to your life did you hear that the power of the name is in your hands did you hear that the spirit that fills the universe lives inside of you somebody shout yes he's not winning nothing you believe the Bible don't you the Bible said the gates of Hell shall not in some circumstances if you hold your mouth just right the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the church Oh somebody needs a revelation here today I feel like I'm preaching revelation I feel like I'm preaching today to somebody that needs to get a hold of this you need to know who you are you're not some weak nobody you're not some weak nothing you're not something that's being trampled underfoot anytime the devil wants to you don't you need to quit thinking the reason the devil's not bothering me is cuz I'm just not on his radar right now no he's not bothering you because he don't like to cross that blood line he's not bothering you because he's afraid you're gonna whisper a name he's not bothering you because he's thinking all they got to do is point their finger and make a command and I gotta go clap your hands and shout yes shout yes shout yes the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the church for the record just in case you ain't got what I've said yet for the record the newest most novice child of God in this house is more powerful than every devil in hell all brother Cunningham when I get to be like you I'll be powerful when I get to be like brother Thor for these men on the platform how I'll be powerful when I get to pray and like sister Shannon's sister see sister Jackie then I'll be powerful uh honey you're powerful right now if you repented of your sins if you were baptized in that powerful name if you were filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost I don't care if that all just happened this week you've got power over the devil you've got power over the enemy the Bible said greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world we get in the mess we think oh my my my my let me go get brother Thor brother Thor pray with me pray for me and it's good to get people to pray for you but you don't need that to whoop Adem oh he didn't say greater is He that's in us greater is He that's in the church every word in that Bibles there for a reason greater is He that is in you one single individual than he that's in the world that's the entire demonic system greater is he that is in you one little individual than the entire demonic system I was in a church I don't know what possessed him to do it it was a district youth conference somewhere up north building was packed auditorium they rented packed wall-to-wall front-to-back and they set me down on the front row and they said we're gonna sit here because the young people is going to start with a skit and the skit was about how the Devils out to get you and they had this old boy dressed up in a red devil suit with a tail on a pitchfork and horns he had the whole suit he's running around and I'm sorry to say he was scaring the snot out of people he did wrong and they're jumping clear out of their seat he's going up and down the aisles he comes by me and he goes wrong and I said out loud you don't want to fool with me and he forgot the rest of his lines I know that was a play but I'm trying to tell somebody here today that when you're going home today when you're in your house this afternoon when it's the middle of the night and you wake out of a sleep and you realize the enemy's there to challenge you you need to say hey you don't need to fool with me I Know Who I am I know what I have pop your hands and shout yes if you believe it hold on brother Cunningham you're acting like the devil don't have any power at all well let's see what Jesus said he said behold I give you power to tread on all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means harm you hold I give you power the whole verse to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy all means all in the greek folks if you need to do a word study all means all hello he said I'm gonna give you power over all say oh brother come I never fought a devil like that who cares who cares if you're fighting the devil you never fought before you have power over him because you have power over all the power of the enemy and brother cut him I don't want the devil to mess up this or mess up that or mess up something else and the Bible goes on to say Jesus says pretty good source jesus said and nothing shall by any means harm you I was preaching on the old platform and I was doing about what I'm doing here today just kicking the devil all over the church and a little precious sister who's going on to be with the Lord now she walks up to the front she stands about right here and she holds her little hands up and they're just trembling and she said it frightens me when you talk about the devil like that she said I'm afraid that one of these days you're going to have a car wreck the devil is going to make you be in a horrible car crash I'm afraid one of these days you're going to be on a plane and the devil is going to make the plane come down I'm afraid one of these days you're going to get a sickness or something and the devil is going to kill you through the sickness I said to her ma'am evidently you didn't hear everything I said today the Bible said behold I give you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and then the word of the Lord said and nothing shall by any means harm you for all of you who are thinking the devil can kill you I have a revelation for you can you handle a revelation this morning or are you spiritually mature enough to handle this really deep revelation I'm going to give you if you are Bobby ahead say Amen do something here's the revelation if the devil could kill you you'd be dead I said that in Texas I made that exact statement if the devil could kill you you'd be dead big old Texas boy with his cowboy boots and big old buckle come down redneck I'm telling you head to toe comes down there and said hey preacher I don't believe what you said today I said you don't he said know what about if the devil just hadn't decided to kill me yet what if the devil just letting me live I said now there's a difference in me and you I'm here by the grace of God you're here by the grace of the devil God's let me live the devil's lettin you live you want to believe that trash I don't think so I'm here because the devil can't do nothing about it God is my strength and my power come on somebody come on somebody preacher I believe that about some folks I just don't think I've been around long enough I just don't think I pray enough I just don't think I pray in the Holy Ghost enough I just think if I was more spiritual if I was more like others then I could have power over the devil stand up brother Thornton brother short the Bible said Jesus sent out 70 and he sent him out two by two teams of two and then he said as you go preach saying the kingdom of heaven is at hand he said cleanse the leper he l've a sick raised the dead and what else cast out Devils and the Bible says a few verses later and the 70 returned unto Him rejoicing saying Lord even the Devils are subject unto us and I know what you're thinking you're thinking now that was 70 powerful people they had supernatural spiritual strength the Holy Ghost was overflowing out of them well I hate to bust your bubble but not one of the 70 had been baptized in Jesus name and not one of the 70 had been filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost because the Holy Ghost wasn't yet given and the big baptism service on the day of Pentecost had not taken place that was 70 people that didn't know the power of the name that was 70 people that had never received the gift of the Holy Ghost but they returned rejoicing saying Lord even the Devils are subject unto us I'm going to say it again you have everything you need to have power over the enemy everybody in the building clap your hands and shout and scream and holler and magnify the Lord to the best of your ability some of you have been fighting with the devil you ought to be on your feet swinging your arms saying take that devil hate that devil take that devil [Applause] I want you to understand that this church that you and I are privileged to be a part of it was designed by God to be a powerful church it was designed by God to be a holy spirit filled Church it was designed by God to be a Spirit led church to be a spirit infused church you and I belong to a God ordained Church we belong to a genuinely Apostolic Church we belong to a blood-bought Church we belong to a Jesus name Church we belong to a one God Church we belong to a Bible believing Church now honey if you understand what kind of church you are privileged to be a part of then you also need to understand that there's not a devil in hell that can do anything about it [Applause] clap your hands and holler yes god is my strength in my power I would present to you that there is nothing more powerful in this universe than an Apostolic Church doing and being what God designed it to do and be nothing I want that to sink in just for a second there is nothing not the Supreme Court not the United States Senate that's set in session right now not the whole government collective not the governments of the world collective there is no power in this universe that's any greater than the power that God gave his church you and I belong to the church we are the Bride of Christ come on somebody the Bible talks about us as being the apple of his eye we're the Sheep of his pasture we're his children where is bride do you need anything else to remind you of just how powerful you are and all that God has invested in you that's who we are come on somebody get it get it get ahold of it that's who we are [Applause] say man say man I've never stood before this church on a new years service a vision casting service to tell you what God would do in the coming year for the last 16 years running exactly what I told you in that service is what come to pass in the coming year exactly I've told you many different things over 16 years that we've all stood and watched God do God unfold among us in the coming year I don't fully understand it I'm not claiming to have a handle on it I don't know why but about no Ven or so God begins to speak to me about the next year very often God speaks to me in about a week's period of time I get away with him I write down what he says I've brought those lists to you before this is what I feel like God is speaking to me I'm not saying this to make me look good I understand God used Balaam's donkey to talk and so III know he didn't have to use me and the promise is all about him if I say it it's not going to come to pass but if I'm saying what he said then it is going to come to pass amen it's all about him it's not about me at all but for 16 years I've told you what I thought God was going to do in the coming year and and again it usually happens in a short period of time that God outlines this to me God started talking to me in November and here we are at the end of January and God still talking to me this has never happened before to me I've never had God just keep clarifying and keep my understanding opening more and more and more and helping me to see it better as I go along what he's going to do in the coming year but when I was coming home from Thailand God began to speak to me on that airplane and God said to me that in 2020 Bible World Church is going to become bigger and it's going to become stronger now hold on just a minute God's told me many times in 16 years that the coming year would be a year of revival the coming year would be a year of growth the coming year we would add to the church so bigger I'm used to God said that before but it's the first time in my entire ministry that God said I'm gonna make the church stronger this year not just bigger but stronger do you know why we're praying like we are do you know why we're having 30 our prayer chains every week do you know why we're starting every morning praying do you know why we're praying for somebody we don't wants to see go to hell do you want to know why we're reading through the Bible in 2020 I'm telling you why because this church is getting stronger and the more we pray and the more we read and the more we come to church and the more we love the Word of God the stronger we're going to become somebody shout Amen somebody shout Amen I would present to you that this church has never been stronger than it is today this church is doctrinally strong this church is numerically strong this church is strong in prayer this church is strong in the gifts of the Spirit this church is strong in the area of preaching and teaching the Word of God this church is strong in faith but listen to me hear me when I tell you that where we are now and where we're going to be at the end of 2020 is literally light-years apart because God is literally going to move this church numerically and spiritually God's going to make us bigger and God's gonna make us stronger you've never been through a Bible study get somebody to take you through one if you've never been through journey one journey to sign up today and go through it if you've not been to the restoration class see brother Rick crouch and get in it if you don't come to Bible study on Wednesday night I implore you to make it the priority of your week and be in Bible study on Wednesday night why brother Cunningham because we gonna get stronger this year we're gonna get stronger the more that we hide the Word of God in our heart the more we searched his scripture they David said that he searched the Word of God and he found that the Word of God is sweeter than the honey from the honeycomb the Bible said thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee honey don't you ever underestimate the power of the Word of God that word of God is forever settled in heaven if you want to be a part of the stronger at the end of this year get the word down in your heart there's too many of us that read more newspapers then we read the Word of God we read more magazines and we read the Word of God we read more storybooks than we do the Word of God hmm I better leave that alone who said thank you only need one folks either we believe this or we don't either being here is going through a forum in a fashion or being here you understand your life is being transformed [Applause] until I feel so much strength in this house right now God is our strength and our power psalmist David said it this way in psalm 46 and 1 god is our refuge and strength an ever-present help in trouble can I help you understand today that strength and power comes through learning to lean on God God is my refuge and strength an ever-present help in trouble so that I know I'm not just preaching to me I'll be the first one to admit I am preaching to me but if you're in here and there's some kind of unwanted trouble in your life would you wave your hand at me god bless your heart that's it just about everybody your hope your strength your refuge is contingent upon your ability to lean on him to trust him you know Trust is the hardest thing you'll ever do holiness isn't the hardest thing you'll ever do in your walk with God tithing is not the hardest thing you're ever gonna do in your walk with God coming to church faithful he's not the hardest thing you're ever going to do in your walk with God keeping the 10 commandments is not the hardest thing you're ever going to do in your walk with God the hardest thing you will ever do in your walk with God is trust in the Lord with all thine heart lean not to thine own understanding but in all thy ways acknowledge him listen carefully when it says lean not to thine own understanding most versions new versions of the Bible says forget what you think you know about it you're never going to do anything in your life tougher then trust in God but that's where strength comes from say oh brother ham I want to have faith but I don't know what tomorrow holds if you know what tomorrow holds then you're not walking by faith it's only a walk of faith when you don't know what tomorrow holds it's only a walk of faith when you don't know what the outcomes going to be it's only a walk of faith when you don't know where this is going to end up it's only a walk of faith when you come to the place that you can say God I don't know what tomorrow holds but I know you hope tomorrow and I'm going to trust you that's where we learn strength say Amen you don't get strong sitting around looking at a room full of weights we got a we got one of them walking machines upstairs in the church supposed to be something the staff can you ain't nobody ever uses it and guess what ain't nobody legs getting stronger either just cuz it's up there there's only one way to get strong you got to get up got to do the work got experience the pain God got to have the resistance they're trying to hold you back and when you deal with the resistance and the pain and the work and the time that's involved and you trust that the more I'm faithful to doing what is right the more I keep going the more I keep believing the more I keep trusting the more I keep faith in then I'm going to get stronger in the Lord God is my strength and God is my power that strength and power is directly connected to our ability to trust God say Amen somebody come on somebody say Amen say it again let me read another verse to you proverbs 18 and 10 said the name of the Lord is a say it again the name of the Lord is a strong tower and the righteous run into it what's that the name of the Lord that's a strong tower the righteous run into it and are safe the Bible said all power in heaven and in earth belongs to that name I don't know why we trust in man I really don't you can say Cunningham till you turn blue Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack and it don't change the atmosphere in the room one hair Obama Obama Obama Obama Obama Hillary Hillary Hillary Trump Trump Trump it don't matter there is no man on this earth that has that kind of power but in the middle of the night while you're standing by your baby's bed with a raging temperature you can whisper a name you can whisper a name that changes the atmosphere in your room in your house in that baby's body instantly all power in heaven and earth belongs to that name does anybody know what that name is come on somebody shout it at me Bible said at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow of things in heaven of things in earth and things under the earth I'm not going to take time to preach it but the things in heaven or angels the things in the earth is man and the things under the earth are demons but the Bible said every knee shall bow at the sound of that name when you say the name of Jesus the Angels stand at attention when you say the name of Jesus the Willing influence a man is crushed when you say the name of Jesus every demon in hell that's got to bow down say man somebody no wonder the Apostle Paul said whatsoever you do in Word or in deed do all everybody said all do all in the name of Jesus every time you mention Jesus in an Apostolic Church 99.9% of the brains goes right back behind this wall to the baptismal tank and all we ever think about is getting bad in Jesus name but that ain't what scripture says the scripture said whatsoever you do in Word or in deed do all in the name of Jesus that's why around here we pray for the sick in the name of Jesus we dedicate our babies in the name of Jesus we marry the young in the name of Jesus we bury the dead in the name of Jesus we anoint with oil in the name of Jesus we preach in the name of Jesus we rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus we get up every morning in the name of Jesus we go to bed every night in the name of Jesus we send our husband and our kids off to work in the name of Jesus we cast out Devils in the name of Jesus [Applause] my old pastor one time a man was accusing him of being Jesus only when they accused you of being Jesus only it means you deny the father and you deny the Holy Ghost anybody that accuses this church of denying the Holy Ghost has never been to church around here on Sunday they weren't here while we were worshiping awhile ago the old boy said to my grandfather my pastor said sir your Jesus only my grandpa looked at him and said that's not correct I'm Jesus everything [Applause] I'm Jesus everything church everything I do if it's worth doing if it's worth saying if it's worth hoping it'll work it's worth doing in the name of Jesus somebody shout yes and I'm closing Nehemiah chapter 8 verse number 10 said the joy of the Lord is your strength God is my strength and my power you want to leave here stronger than you came Sunday morning Sunday night Wednesday night then don't come in here and sit like a wart on a pickle come in here and worship God because the joy of the Lord is our strength I promise you if you'll worship Him you're gonna walk out of here with a little bit of a cloud in your step you're gonna walk out of here with faith in your heart you're gonna walk out of here stronger than you walked in greeter you don't know what I'm going through greeter you don't know how hard it is preacher you don't know the pain I'm experiencing preacher you don't know how I'm suffering I probably don't but I do know this about God the joy of the Lord is our strength if you can pick yourself up the Bible said offer unto Him the sacrifice of praise and I'll tell you sometimes it's a sacrifice sometimes you don't feel like it sometimes you don't want to do it sometimes you're tired sometimes you're under a cloud but offer him the sacrifice of praise because the joy of the Lord is our strength [Applause] Bible World Church has a reputation across the Virginia district of being a worship in church I've literally heard him make jokes about us I've literally heard him say if somebody drops a songbook accidentally dropped something on the piano and it makes a noise there's people that Bible world think it's time to get up and shout of course I'm talking about the apostolic segment of the church half of us belong to an Apostolic Church and the other half belongs to the First Church of the Frigidaire I'm smiling see nine ways to worship God in Psalms three your hands clap your hands all your people lift up holy hands to the Lord and I can't do it front words let alone backwards but it says play skillfully before the Lord 3 with your hands 3 includes your mouth the Bible said cry out and shout unto the Lord the Bible said tell of his goodness and the Bible said saying unto the Lord let me stop and interject something right here when did our worship service get to be 9 people up here putting on a concert while 500 people are watching you can't watch them sing and get credit for singing is worship unto the Lord if you're sitting there like this [Applause] what are you doing preacher I want you to leave here stronger than you came I want you to leave here stronger than you walked in here God said I'm going to make this church bigger and I'm going to make this church stronger in 2020 and I believe it I believe it so three your hands three your mouth and threes the whole body the Bible said dance before the Lord show them how to do it brother Kelsey there you go dance before the Lord the Bible said run jump out there and show him buddy run before the Lord that's in the Bible friends whether you like it or don't like it come on Murray Crouch lay right out here is my strength the name of the Lord is a strong tower [Applause] hold on just a minute you may be standing here thinking you know preacher I get what you're saying but I'm not like that young men I'm not just going to jump out now and run and preacher I'm not like Kelsey I'm not just going to click my fingers and start dancing and preacher I'm sure not like Rick crops that looked like he was sliding into second base face-first then here's what I want to tell you I think my mother who's watching right now 84 years old is one of the greatest Christians that's ever lived and I would take a bet right now that my mom is sitting over in Newport News in that little bedroom of hers that that that that that condo in her bedroom in Newport News watching this service right now and when I told everybody to watch my mom sitting there and that lazy boy doing this you can take it to the bank that's her work that's full-blown that's giving it all she's got that's her wide open I Got News for You honey if you can't do nothing else stand there and do what mama is doing I said stand there and do what mama is doing because the joy of the Lord is our strength does anybody hear me the joy of the Lord is higher strength have it have you been feeling like you're under the gun have you been feeling like all strength is gone then I challenge you to worship God because the joy of the Lord is got a parking place she jumps out of the car heads to church without him he comes in later and you know how we all are it's all about appearances so they set together probably that night should have said on the opposite side of the church from each other but they set together and during song service she jumps out in the aisle and just starts dancing like a heathen I mean she just getting after it like you can't believe and when she was done dance and the song was done she moves past her husband and finds her little seat beside him and he says to her in a whisper when she's walking in front of him I can't believe the way you're worshiping after the way me and you fought this morning Hetal girl turn around look Tammy said I'm mad at you ain't mad at God I'll hold on I know some of you got that look on your face preacher don't know why you're talking about me and my spouse never fight James Dobson said ninety-nine out of a hundred couples admit to fighting regularly the other ones a liar hello if you've let anybody in this building stop you from worshiping because you're mad at them then you deserve to go home week [Applause] oh you don't know what she said to me oh I may not but I do know what God's done for you and I know what God's offering you I've got a kind of him they didn't shake my hand maybe not that God's knocking on the door your heart are you going to ignore God because somebody didn't shake your hand are you going to ignore God because you've been fussing with somebody are you going to ignore what God wants to do in your life today because somebody else didn't treat you right I say no I say no I say let's worship God no matter what's going on in our life no matter who likes it or who don't let's worship the Lord because the joy of the Lord is my strength [Applause] you can search this world over believe me I preached in a whole lot of churches I'm not saying we're the only good Church out there but I'm going to say it without stuttering or stammering churches like this one are few and far between and this should be added as an 11th commandment when you go to the house of worship worship when you come into a church like this don't miss what a church like this has to offer you when you come into a body of people that worship like this body of people worships you need to join in with them so you can get the same strength that they're getting preacher I'm strong but I'm not a worshiper let me just prophesy to you you may be strong as in hard-headed but you ain't strong as in I've got a heart full of joy hmm don't y'all hate it when I start pastoring you know what's wrong with this generation I think this is the number thing number-one thing wrong with the religious generation today number-one thing wrong with the religious generation today is they only want a pastor until he actually tries to pastor I was riding down the road with omurice this week true story she's in the passenger seat I'm driving we're going I guess you figured that out already but we're going down the road she said Papa you ever heard of Ben Franklin I said yeah she said we studied about Ben Franklin in cool she said did you know he had a brother named James I said no I really didn't she said James was his older brother Benjamin Franklin was an indentured servant to his own brother James I didn't never know that and she said his older brother was mean to him he spanked him she said said Benjamin Franklin run away he got in a boat and he rode up the river to get away from his home brother and he knew if it his brother caught him they'd get the spankin of his lifetime that's quoting armories and she said Benjamin Franklin stayed away from home until his brother was sent to jail and I said why did his brother go to jail true story do some homework this afternoon James Franklin went to jail because he didn't listen to his pastor and that was against the law in their day now I got a feeling I'd say the way you're laughing y'all finish that sentence in your own mind I was setting in a English restaurant that was over 200 years old and had signs on the walls and the booth we were setting in it talked about if you know somebody that's not paying their tithe and offering to the church contact the constable 200 year old sign and I'm thinking how do we lose those good laws folks when I start pastoring you don't get mad well why don't you say this that preacher wants me to go to heaven so much that he's willing to tell me what I need to hear not what I want to hear still wearing your feelings on your shoulder and getting your feelings hurt why don't you say my preacher don't want me to go to hell my preacher don't want my kids to go to hell my preacher don't want my family to go to hell and that preacher is gonna look me in the eye and tell me what I need to hear and I am going to I am going to you see there's one verse of scripture in the Bible that don't apply to everybody in fact there's not one other person in this room it applies to but me submit yourself to them that have the rule over you here's the part that only applies to me for they must give an account I don't care what your name is I don't care how long you been here I don't care how much time you pay I don't care what title I gave you there's only one man going to stand before God and give an account for your soul that's right here and if I'm gonna do that I'm gonna do it in such a way that you're not standing there beside me saying god he didn't tell me that God God he didn't tell me that God he didn't tell me that God he didn't tell me that [Applause] when I talk to this church I'ma be preaching Friday night to an audience of 6,000 there'll be thousands in the overflow last year there were 19,000 watching on live feed on Friday night last year same service I'll be preaching to thousands probably tens of thousands on this coming Friday night but hear me when I tell you this is more important to me than preaching that service Friday night because this is the church that God made me overseer of and this is the church God always talks to me about this is the church that God's letting me know what we're going to become in 2020 is anybody here in me I believe we're a special group of people I believe this is a special church I believe there's a special anointing I believe we've got a special vision I believe that God has given us a special revelation of who we are and what we can be and I end with this I told you the Sunday night before New Year's that the Holy Ghost folk to me and said turn them loose how many of you remember that the Holy Ghost said turn them loose I'm talking about operating in the gifts of the Spirit I'm talking about being effective in ministry I'm talking about walking by faith and living by faith and and ministry and leadership by faith I'm talking about you hearing from God for yourself I'm talking about you being led by the Spirit of God God said Turnham loose and so today as I preach revelation to you God is my strength and power I admonish us as a church and each of us as an individual don't walk out of here thinking I just heard a fairly decent sermon praise God got a good fairly decent preacher because if that's all you got out of it you missed it I preached with revelation today folks I know the difference of preaching with it and without it I preached with Revelation today what I want to challenge you to do individually and collectively is walk out of here and plug yourself into a ministry if you're already in a ministry walk out of here and start being led by the Spirit in that ministry if God's been talking to you about being used in the gifts of the Spirit you take enough faith to step and walk with Him that you start doing it if God has helped you to pray for the sick find you a sick person to pray for every day if God gives you a word of wisdom a word of knowledge if God gives you a prophecy a tongue and interpretation if God gives you faith to pray for the sick I'm challenging you let's start walking in it I not only want to turn you loose I want to be like the mother Eagle and kind of kick you out of the nest I want us to start doing what God has ordained us to do and to be as a body and as individuals of this body I am challenging us does anybody hear me is anybody receiving it I am challenging us today I am challenging us today do something for God if you know how to pray people through the Holy Ghost pray them through if God's used you to pray for sick people pray for sick people say brother cam what if people work in the gifts of the Spirit and get it wrong that's my job I'll tell them I say hey appreciate your faith appreciate you trying this was a little bit wrong next time you do it I don't want you to quit that's one of the biggest problems we have brother Greg smelly pastored for 20 years he'll tell you I'm telling you the truth one of the biggest problems we have in the Apostolic movement is people try to work in the gifts of the Spirit one time and when they make a mistake they never try again right or wrong or the way that right or wrong brother Thorpe right wrong they try it one time and when they mess up they never try again I'm challenging you that if you gave a tongues and interpretation and it sounded horrible don't quit try again try again as in upstate New York preaching the New York camp-meeting with brotherly Stoneking and brother Stoneking gave a tongue that only least on King could give and an interpretation I mean the dudes amazing hidden he his interpretation was just lift up your head your Redemption draweth nigh behold I come quickly saith the Lord it got quiet in the place and somebody else start talking in tongues god bless you brother Greg but the district secretary jumped out there and he said thus saith the Lord lift up your head your Redemption draweth nigh as I have previously stated you may you may just drop the watermelon folks it's happened to some pretty good folks hello true story there's a church in Louisiana that Merle Ewing was pres better of it had a big old boy that said on the end sorry Cory I didn't mean be pointing at you talking about Louisiana but you are from there big old boy sits right on the end never got up and he gave the interpretation to every message it was ever given in the church he was like the official interpreter his old girl gets up she never give a message before in her life and she goes Tay Tay Tay Tay Tay Tay Tay Tay Tay Tay Tay I'm not making this up tey tey tey tey tey tey tey tey tey tey tey tey tey tey tey and when she's all done that big old boy hollers out lift up your head your Redemption draws nigh how the Lord come quickly the church all rejoiced got quiet again trying to tell you we're all human and we're going to try to be used in the gifts of the Spirit and we're going to make mistakes and guess what we're not going to quit when we do make a mistake we're not going to give up if we do make a mistake we're going to keep working with it until learn how to do it pleasing to God are y'all okay come on y'all okay it's all right to understand that we're human folks my challenge to you collectively and individually is don't walk out that door like you do every Sunday walk out that door to go serve God do something great for God because God is your strength and God is your power and there's not a devil in hell that can stop you would you raise both your hands to heaven and would you give Him glory everybody in this house give Him glory everybody
