I'm using her knowledge of where to find the good stuff like this place this restaurant where they have like really rich uh Seafood 13 different kinds of like a seafood on top of rice so here it is okay I'll have that yeah waca coma restaurant where I plan to do some serious damage to the world's supply of sea urchin and salmon R I haven't even eaten anything yet I just walked in the door I took one look over there and I know this is going to be great I almost feel guilty you know this is a I feel like I'm cheating working and doing this cuz this is exactly what I like doing at its very best so what should I eat here so I think we should have this like kaashi I think they're very famous for it here like 13 different kinds of seafood on top of like a bowl of rice I think this is like one of the most delicious generous gorgeous Seafood you can have for lunch beer what do you which what do you think is appropriate with uh I'll go for beer done go Hokkaido is more laid back a dangerous Japanese tradition No guest is allowed to pour their own drink okay come bye welcome to supp thank you but the meal's barely begun and already a few surprises this I have no idea what it is I have no idea either to cheese this is a cheese we're talking about cheese wow I thought that was to right it's wacky here the cheese is not that's not Japanese it's Hokkaido food actually it's a lot of dairy food it's very um good here very famous for it's very different pace here there seems to be more room it's certainly not as hectic it's so Spacey yes people relaxed and I think people in h kaido here they don't care about this like adequate miners I mean doesn't mean they root or anything but just a formality you know uh the way of doing this and that and people just don't care so people are very open to new idea one of mum's favorite tastes of home and perhaps one of the more beautiful Seafood presentations ever Nama chidon 13 kinds of seafood on top of rice including row clam Snapper flounder tuna but for me it's all about this a big bowl of oi and row and some rice wow I mean really could anything be more delicious looking that's just over the top smaller than I thought really yeah oh this is extraordinary so good how could anyone not love this oh I'm sorry no let me [Music] just thank you then the doorway darkens and from the kitchen it appears could Lord and look at this Behemoth this science fiction sized wakan ey crap that my friends is a meal all in itself second the cameras turn off the crew are going to be descending on it like a swarm of fli so I better stuff my face fast and hard I'm we're going to have no problem finishing this off no problem we'll work through you don't have problem okay well we'll see so just just go dig right in so there's because there's no elegant way not even like lemon or nothing you know they say that if you're going to dinner with someone who you don't want to talk into the ramulu place or to the Kanye like a crab place 100 km Southwest of saporo you come here for among other things the skiing or maybe you do it snows about 15 to 16 m a year but me I'm here for the food okay maybe a little skinny too but first [Music] food you know what I like I like isaka I like isaka a lot but this is no average isaka this place is run by a master of the form akihiro matsan he does this and just this grilling wondrous things over a carefully tended charcoal fire again and again year after year this being a ski town I have several snowboarders of renown joining me for dinner first of all uh let's get everybody's names here again your name again is hideaki hideaki yeah and uh tomoki yep p padle the greatest joy in my life in New York is that we now in the last 2 3 years have started to get really good Japanese style isaka and Yakitori places you guys live here right so what is he famous for other than being good what's his this is a very special is a chicken chicken Yaki what's on the Blackboard the top one is what I think is soft Rose or basically fish sperm second one is some sort of a shellfish oyster oy oy oyster oy yeah what do you think that fish would be halib you're good this this is like a game showell and what else do we have sardine oh yes oh I I think I saw some going to that table before that was that was some good looking stuff can I drink oh please I insist come [Music] by hey the someone like this in your town making food this good is completely amazing this chicken skin by the way is out of sight chicken skin how about chicken skin what's the best best skin I've ever had anywhere to better than Tokyo grilled fishes it for you sir it's okay oh God it's good and now pork belly and I think there's some chicken hearts and God I hope they got tongue and some liver oh yeah
