Brown make like a Titanic well recently I started work on three different boat I started starting back in October and it's taken me quite some time to kind of learn my CAD program which is a fusion 360 now the boat is solid ABS as far as filming goes I kind of loosely documented entire thing mainly because I've kind of started on and off and I may have lost a few clips and all that and it's to be honest it's quite really boring watching me come a acetone well a bunch of ABS parts together so I'm just going to kind of condense it to a little short form in each video and hope you guys will stick around something back because I'll we're going to go drive this thing but this is just gonna be part one of this boat too so let's get started with the build process I guess [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] talking thing will not help us break you snap crackle pop okay that's all the way now jump up and down [Music] [Music] you [Music] Oh you [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh [Music] just wait until home yeah yeah yeah Bob Lee on the video I'm Wilson I know you're milking all right cool that works that works all right so the hatches are all supportive to the old on this boat I think there's control of water and Yolo Salinas will say Yolo I'm going to here by lighting either thundering all right get to myzel launch it now that's a lot of water [Laughter] certainly whiskey lawsuit is not raining super hard but the thing is we can take most of stuff up let's go grab it up there that was cool I am the captain now I am be careful now but could we I just kept it up but I'm making me headway you don't think chances it's exactly making headway we're actually getting up the streak I only wear makeup here yeah I'm backing off oh it I lost more power brother spread them we're going to see more ha ha well I guess we'll and ink on this let me see yeah I lost the product Allison do you want to see that's the 40 millimeter why I lost I probably I probably hit something to pull it off this boat actually goes pretty fast but you know just one screw though I'm gonna drive a little bit more I guess this close were here let me lose though I'm not going to do it open and open it's underwater now you look cool you look cool or kind of it and I [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] you all these we didn't lose anything oh shut up Sam okay let's ride it's an inside here first because we're afraid what's going up that waterfall Hey look at bone-dry Leslie works pretty well you well I guess actually works pretty well the verdict um for I guess this test was I like it it's actually not bad at all so for the most part it's actually like 70 percentage complete the reason for like this part 1 part 2 thing is this is there's actually a lot that goes into Volvo buildings and whatnot I really wanted to get thing on the water and test it and plus some I plan I think another video this week go if you can castrate what that is a those of you this week's video but unfortunately doesn't slide very well so we're going to do this one right now but I guess without being said I'm going to release the plans to this thing now so you can actually build one approval yourself quick a few tips for actually putting it all the whole which is um this big three or five piece pen yes by pieces every part should be under 200 by 200 millimeters in both in all directions 200 200 by 200 millimeters I think most personal i 3d printer style should be able to print it with no problem whatsoever the wall thickness I printed on the whole pieces were one by two millimeters and the insole was about 25% for everything down and um the whole the top superstructure in Cavan that was still one point two millimeter thickness but 20% infill and that's about all there is to it so I use about the two spools of this stuff this is a three minute three millimeter ABS filament from inland I think it's the greiger centers brand or whatever it's a one kilogram so I didn't give me that much plastic I haven't tried PLA other materials but I really like working with this abs except it's kind of mildly carcinogenic to print your house and all that so I actually run plumbing for my printer to blow air outside but that's another story a pedo like should work just as fine as well the only thing for why chose the abs was it was very easy to actually finish and work with and the nice thing is you can actually dissolve with acetone so you can really chemically smooth this thing I did think about putting this thing in like a big chamber to vapor polish it by figurative resort worth my time to build the chamber is brush it on there and then just sand it that's why see the primer on the boat right now so that's got a get finished but that's that's in part to the deck itself was laser-cut album abs plastic I think it's about three millimeters thick or so I will release today except for that hopefully one of you guys that's really good working with those things could convert the PDS and I can upload summer for those who you don't act into a cat program I can open that also I will releasing the STL for the deck as well if you guys want to try to cut that and print that out as well then at least make sense to cut all the flat pieces or to print out a flat piece of plastic because way faster it cut but you never know as far as the required hardware I originally designed this both to fit almost any sort of brushless motor like am anything with a standard sixteen by nineteen millimeter bolt pattern should fit but I use these Avro dole motors now the cool thing is a quick shout out to Jim and Victor they helped hook me up with these Avro motors Jim is actually Monto RC they actually live in Columbus and I stopped by down there for a day and they gave me like a handful of these off these old kind of used ones so that's pretty sweet I'm actually putting my goodness in this boat and I think these will be very very decent motors I did it intentionally design it for small motor so the clearance is very tight as far as if you're trying to use these 35:20 either the bigger ones i've uses 35 14s or 35 fifteens and like my past projects of flight tests putting is a slightly bigger ones as far as the stuffing tube goes I got that from bang good you can pick those things up anywhere I think so diameter is one second the diameter on these tubes is like eight millimeters yeah they're eight millimeters and they're like 25 to 30 centimeters long 20 thing is I ordered like these off of Angus I words at 30 to 25 millimeter version ones they give me 125 and they gave me 330 so I'm like okay when I think of I just cut them down and just pop you little use a little I'm bearing inserts out and just stuff it back in so it wasn't a big deal now as far as the rudder stuffing tube and rudder post these are just brass stuff that you can get anywhere I use these these sizes right here and also the u-joints in the vote coup those are tracks of little u-joints they're Fulmer later by Fullmer a four millimeter by four millimeter on both ends but you can get those roughly anywhere as you can get metal euro so you joints as well even though they probably make more noise but anything like that should definitely float the boat another thing with the boat though is actually requires a lot of weight to get down to the waterline in this video on is using it I really only use the very minimum just to get to counselor bright and surprisingly still wouldn't capsize even with the being very very light and really high up on the waterline I actually had to use these guys these are like a final round thing as pointy bullets I used you to heaven I don't really know how much it weighs but somebody I hope you guys have Isis the guns which are awesome in the I use two of these and one box of 50 rounds of 9-millimeter to get this thing to float down the waterline all product place is wet or something like that because I'm I don't imagine traveling with these would be a good idea well I guess is wraps the part one as always best tails are free you can go downloading and out a really big shout out to my patreon supporters they really helped me keep being able to do what I'm doing because right now I probably should charge for the cat files there's other people so many other people do but I'm just like I really appreciate you guys it's kind of like subscribing and watching and all that nonsense and calming it helps keep me motivated to make these things and definitely some worth my while so yeah be sure to go ahead and download seal file print them out maybe tag me the links below or comment you Bolin and all that amazing start our cgroups thread where I can kind of better keep track of the comments and like the build threat of this so I'll put a link to that down in the description somewhere so yeah be sure to go and like share do whatever you know I suppose to be on YouTube and I will see you guys in the near future [Music] [Music]
