Ghost Controls Gate Opener WiFi UPGRADE (+ a peek at the phone app!)

all right guys so if you haven't already seen our installation video for the ghost controller on our front gate we highly recommend that you go check that out for those of you who have seen it today we are upgrading it so we got the ghost multi-connect kit for our gate opener and right now we are starting with replacing the control board yep this control board is going out and a new one is going in and this one is wi-fi and bluetooth enabled right so we're gonna start with replacing everything and then we'll see if it works and then we'll go over the functions and just show how it looks let's get to it let's get to it all right so we already disconnected the wires yep and we start with taking those six screws off so we can get the pcb out [Music] all right okay so the pcb is off nice now we can hold the new one next to the old one so we can see what's the difference i think it's the same thing just the wi-fi board or communication board is the only difference all right look exactly the same yeah just that board new board is in just gotta put two more screws in [Music] all right guys very simple now we're just reconnecting all of the wiring yep [Music] so we got a dual gate so um we'll connect both of those that's the first one that's the second one pretty much that's it we're just gonna figure out how to get our um wire into one of those we'll see which one would fit so what we're going to do guys is we're going to drill a hole and use the grommet because this unit sits outside so it can connect to wi-fi or bluetooth but we have an enclosure so we gotta somehow get it in here uh we do have multiple ways probably through one of those but we might just drill a new wall put the garment in and then we need to figure out how to go inside here which is kind of like interesting how they did we managed to put all of them in this guy which is good solar is going in oh this is going in which connects to this guy all right power is connected i can see already these guys communicating it's where the whole system is off but it's already getting power all right everything's on again we got everything reprogrammed simple instructions are right here in the uh cover for the enclosure box and now for the fun part we are downloading the app yes and it's called remoteo but uh yeah downloading the app and we'll show and see how it works so one more thing i did i relocated the box so it's lower so i can actually close this everything is protected protected and pretty much sealed the only one that's not sealed is the communication wire here but it's not going to be submerged in water but anyway we're putting it on now it's closed and ready to go all right guys so we got the app installed and set up on our phone we'll show you how that works all right so it's really cool the app is amazing actually um you can just tap and it opens again you can just even stop it works right away obviously we are connected with uh bluetooth right now but we can also connect through wi-fi or through the internet which is pretty cool everything is done through here which is great like we can just go to setting i want to set auto close enable it we'll do let's say 16 seconds or 15 seconds and that's it it's it which is pretty cool so that's super exciting you can also share keys with guests which is a cool feature and you can see the log of when it opened and and what happened and when and yeah pretty cool so we can share share a new key awesome so we can just close it you can open it and it once you click it it's amazing it actually shows the icon the icon on the screen opens up too which is pretty cool love it cool definitely worth the upgrade if you guys are thinking about it don't think do it yeah and the communication control is right here up top everything is pretty much the same super happy today thumbs up ghost controls all right guys well thank you for joining us for the upgrade of the wi-fi enabling the gates to open through your phone through the app through the internet awesome ghost control good job if this video was helpful for you guys don't forget to give us a thumbs up we got a lot going on and we'll love having you with us during our journey so don't forget to subscribe to our channel to stay up to date on all of our future range projects see you in the next one in the next one [Music] [Music] you
