fight on my channel [Music] so today i'm in this city it's a town actually i'm very close to the border of caldevoir and well i just decided to have a tour around this is his hometown yeah this is my hometown this is brothers from ghana's hometown yeah i bought you okay what do you love about it oh that sounds funny yes anyway no no no no no what you're thinking no no anyway so tell me what do you love about bracombe uh okay so growing up over here it has always been that peaceful town you know we used to have the tag um the golden city this was the golden city oh so there's gold here there's no gold but we were in the golden city you know why why it has always been clean calm uh-huh and peaceful okay yeah so even our first stadium here is called the golden city park oh the stadium yeah we have a stadium here that's the golden city park so definitely i'll take you there so this is brokum it's a very peaceful town in the bronx formerly the bronx region right but now i think it's the puno region so you're welcome home what do you want to know let me just tell me where you want to be what are we doing here which place okay so there's a city center this is actually the center point of the town okay so this is the major roads that we have so this road down here takes you on to sunyani to commence it to our car so it is a major road link that we have and then to my left okay let's say yeah to the left side like this this is where you used to credibility i don't know why you are so much interested in visiting credible but this is the road we are going to use when we are going to credible right so that way it takes you to dharma and then you go all the way way way out and then this right here takes you to other parts of the town right yeah so this is the main road we are going to be focusing on today because this is the center point and then there is the city center so we have the commercial bank right here we have the main station there we have the market down on this lane so so this is an unknown farmer you know brokum has always been like a farming community way way back so it is an unknown farmer which i believe the eldest thought she deserved to be appreciated in a way i don't even know her that is coco and then she has a baby at the back and you can see she has a machete yeah so actually i don't know who she is and i'm sure we need to go and talk to the chief or the elders of the community to tell us who this woman is yeah okay so i remember i told you guys we are going on a town tour so this is the city center and then in ghana most of the time that signifies when you're in the center of the city are banks so there is the ghana commercial bank or broken right there and then right behind you is the mtn it so you can just take a look at it yeah so let's take a show so we are walking right into the city center and then you know um you know why we are called the golden city you see is is where's the time now it's almost 10. do you know why you're not finding a lot of people here most of the people what they are in the farm they've gone to work yeah everybody's working that's work still yeah yeah but you know now this is moved from a typical village where it was just a farming community to a normal town where we have a lot of government workers around people running their own businesses yeah so that's why there is less pressure over here and this is one of the things i really enjoy so this is the main streets with no traffic this is the main street with no traffic just amazing you can see we are moving freely just imagine somewhere else in ghana and then a main street with no traffic [Music] so right in front of us moving forward is the main station that's the main loyal station right station uh okay you can see a bus station but this one has to do with um it connects all the other villages around the small small village around so you can get a car here to anywhere you want to go around okay within the same um region okay as in within the same puno region yeah so that's the station well so this is ghana beyond accra this is one of my favorite things i love to do i love going beyond the common normal places to just have a feel and an experience of other parts in other countries like since i started doing that i feel happier because i feel like i'm having a different experience something i've never seen so i don't know i'm the first person to film brecon all right why do you want to be the first person who films welcome because i've never seen a video oh okay i'm sure you're still amazed but reusing the main street and there's absolutely no traffic there's no traffic in here and then this is one thing i encourage people that travel in from any other countries even we ghanaians we don't we don't want to go beyond a car we don't want to go beyond our cities we don't want to go beyond the kumasi and then the capital cities and the regional capitals but you know there is a lot going on we need to just think gold coco coco can wait but gold is very important so this is this place used to be called gold coast no go the city well i like the whole of ghana gold coast and then now this is the golden city i better get some gold here yeah so let's go let's go i'm taking you to the palace and then you get some gold okay so we just got to the palace street so it's actually called the palace drive right you see it has some kind of vibe to it this is the good institution you know so one thing this is one of the most important places i know whoever is watching this video and then the person is from broken the person is going to actually record the place this right here is the oman in a park uh-huh when we say the mine park that is like we are saying the chiefs park okay so this used to be where we had all our the best whatever that garden that has to go on this is the right place you know it has been renovated actually before it was just a bear park and then it was fun growing up this this is where you come to play football all the kids gather to play we do all those kind of because it was like open so you come you meet your friends from their houses you meet you play and then everybody goes back home so this is the palace drive and then this is oman park okay yeah so welcome to goku once again yeah meet the chief now you want to meet the chief they're still looking for we want to see the chief you need to whenever you want to go and visit a chief in ghana you need to go with some we call it snap you need to buy a wine okay before you present it so if you really want to get a good as you're saying let's go get a snack we're going to snitch and then you get your you get your go with that bro so okay so we're going to look for wine and try to see are you really ready to buy the snap and then i'll buy this now okay snap snack no it's not just snap i'll go see the chief okay give me money if you're watching they send me some money i get money to buy snap i'll ahead of us is the jungle health center but you know it has a popular name everybody knows this that's the zombie clinic okay so we are here in the zongo community and then that it doesn't go cleaning you know um we have a municipal hospital we have a big mission hospital in town at the same time you have other health centers around that is one of the popular places you can actually mention of when you come to brooklyn okay yeah and then they do a lot of marvelous works in there oh school students going driving themselves to school and back behind me is the golden city park so when you come to ghana we are known for football you know even coming all the way from kenya you know when you mention ghana and football yeah like that's like yeah like this and then we are the best african football country you know no doubt so one thing very you're you're likely going to be seeing a school stadium or a football pitch all over the country in this even the smallest community you would see a football pitch because football is for us it was made for us in africa yeah the most talented among the african countries so over here in birkum we have a we have a pitch which is called the golden city park okay so back in the day we used to have our school games in that school you know i've been scoring goes all over on this pitch like i used to score like 10 goals in a season you know i'm a footballer myself so yeah i'm a footballer don't talk about this i played schooling i play for my school community matches and then yeah so you know all right yeah so this is this is our pitch and then we have um two football clubs here uh we have brooklyn chelsea and then we have broken arsenal okay yeah so this is your home grounds this is where they play every every weekend and then i wish you were here on one of the match days is this amazing there the atmosphere over here is so superb so this is the kumbay city park so yeah this is it and then um the park is actually located in the zongo community right so right where we are we are inside the zongo community which we are going to take a walk through the whole community and then yeah so this is it welcome boarding city park inside the golden city of birkin so now we are now entering into the zongo community so that's where we have the football pitch there's our famous jungle community you will love it okay zongo communities actually previously used to comprise of um more muslims who live around one particular place right yeah but i don't think now it's still the same story now everybody lives in and out yeah you can we are all together we are one so we all live together yeah peacefully [Music] [Music] this looks like one of the oldest communities in the area i think [Music] [Music] do [Music] is this traffic jam or what okay [Music] finally we are here we just found the coconuts you know after long work we are here to give african tigers the best coconuts in ghana this is coming from me going city has the best coconut in ghana okay [Music] so you see when you were having coconut in a car you didn't take everything off like this yes that's what i've learned so you see we are already raining like gorgeous so this is more water this one has more water and then it has more food as well okay so i'm going to try the best coconut in ghana we already winning the guy give it to you so clean today
