Getting Started and Installation with Appwrite

[Music] appright is a self-hosted back-end as a service platform that provides developers with all the core apis required to build any application this video shows you how to install appright locally on your machine with an overview of the app right console to install appright you need to have docker installed and running on your local machine or server you can find links on how to get started with docker in the description below first go to the app right home page and click on get started this opens a dialog with a single command you can copy paste and run to download the necessary dependencies to run app right it has all the commands that are specific to your operating system so choose the appropriate option below hover over the install command and click the tool tip to copy it next open the terminal command on your local machine paste the command to install app right and hit enter this will download the images required to run appright to your local machine or server you are then prompted to enter some setup options you can choose the defaults to get started quickly after this process finishes your app right instance is up and running you can go to your browser and navigate to the host name you entered during the setup process on your first visit to the approach console you are required to create a root account enter a name for the account an email address and a password your password must be at least 8 characters long accept the privacy policy and click sign up your app right instance is now fully up and running where you can create your first project in the approach console to create your first project click create project enter a name for their project and click create after the project is created you'll be at the project home page in the app right console here you can set up collections storage buckets user accounts and teams cloud functions project settings and more [Music]
