GET READY WITH ME FOR WORK AT THE BIBBIDI BOBBIDI BOUTIQUE // dcp fall 2019

[Music] good learning everyone this is what I look like today because I'm doing a video of that I get asked just about every day to film and it doesn't get ready with me for work I've put off filming this just because I work mornings a lot and my roommate Holly does not work mornings a lot so like I'm not gonna film a video at 6:00 a.m. when she doesn't work until 4:00 p.m. that's just rude but today she had work at 10:00 and I don't have work until one o'clock it's like 11:00 now so I'm about to start getting ready I'm still in my Christmas pajamas and we're gonna get this day rolling literally always the first thing I do when I'm getting ready is to wash my face because your girls trying to have nice skin and I have this new skin care stuff that I've been using um so I have to wash it up every morning but like also wash your face day and night kids okay she's fresh and clean and I'm gonna start putting on my makeup while I talk to you all just because this is not the look for the day if this is the first video you've seen of mine or you just don't know I am a fairy godmother in training at the bibbidi bobbidi boutique and Magic Kingdom so one of the best things about working there is the fact that I'm not outside really at all there's one position I can work where I'm like walking outside a little bit but even then most of the time like I'm inside so this is literally the first time I've had for Disney where I'm basically a hundred inside so I actually can wear makeup my other two programs I just kind of wore mascara and called it a day but I can wear makeup because it'll put it off which is very nice it's definitely not required that you wear makeup because you can't like legally I don't think make somebody do that I don't know you probably can whatever but I am in a lot of photographs because we have tog refers that shoot the reveals and everything so I'm in a lot of pictures and I stare at myself in a mirror for a lot of the day so I just like to wear makeup and look nice do you care what I'm using whatever I'll tell you anyway I just put on some what's she go however this is the baby skin instant pore eraser can't say I'm loving it really makes my skin feel oily but I bought it and it's not breaking me out so I just feel like I have to finish using it I'm also putting on a little bit of concealer that is about 17 shades too light for me but I'm too lazy to go buy one that actually matches my skin tone this is a color pop one she does the trick can't say it's the greatest one I've ever used but like you know you win some you lose some I don't know like make a video on this channel before for what we're not sure but this is the same foundation that I used in that it's the Tarte Amazonian clay full coverage airbrush foundation is this like a powder foundation which I like because I'm like things feeling heavy on my face especially when I'm gonna have to have on literally all day today I work from one o'clock to 8 o'clock the boutique itself is open every day from 8 to 7 so the earliest I can come in is 7:15 and the latest I'll be scheduled is 8:15 which is a dream it's very nice I do not get scheduled mornings literally ever so normally honestly I don't know a normal like I either will have a shift that's normally it's like 2 to 8 to 15 to a 15 I started 1 o'clock today not really sure why whatever so either get that where I'll get a double which basically means I work 8 to 8 which honestly like isn't that bad they're pretty good about trying to like movie arounds throughout the day so you're not all only on chair or only like on the other side helping like shot people so you know I really just can't complain about my hours I think they're very nice I've been at the boutique now for I guess almost two months like a month and a half I guess and right now I'm absolutely loving it I feel like a ruffster at the beginning but it's a lot of information to learn and you're just kinda thrown in the deep end and you just have to figure it out so it definitely was like a huge learning adjustment and just like feeling comfortable but I literally have never had as good of coworkers anywhere else as I have at the boutique like everybody is so nice so willing to help so like just Pato it's just a very great group of girls I've already made such great friends they are like I genuinely adore the people that I work with which i think is kind of like make or break it and any work environment so I feel very lucky in that aspect I don't know if this is interesting to anybody else but I know that I get asked about this a lot too I will only been getting scheduled five days like I always have two days off I don't have like regular days off but they change every week but I still get two days off I also haven't had too much trouble trying to like trade shifts around their stuff if I really need a day off I still don't really know the logistics of why but because I work in the castle I am NOT allowed to pick up in Disney springs um I think they used to use like a different reservation system than the castle did I don't really know but I think we all use the same one now but like we still can't pick up at Springs but Springs can pick up at the castle there's a new boutique instead of the Grand Floridian and I'm pretty sure I can pick up there but I just don't want to like I'm happy in the castle so I would like to just stay there I totally forgot Oh since we telling you what products I use and I feel like we're just too far gone that like I'm sorry I don't know yet if the boutique is I can't talk and fill my brows give me two seconds I don't know yet if the boutique is my favorite job I've had at Disney I've had a lot of people ask me like between PhotoPass merch and not the boutique like which one I like the best I definitely like the boutique more than I liked merchandise that one is just no secret I also didn't have a great time working in merchandise so like tricky but between PhotoPass in the boutique like they're just so different that it turned to be like oh I definitely like this one better than the other for PhotoPass I primarily worked outside which was fine but like I live in Florida it's very hot that like I enjoy working indoors it's also just like both rules I got to create a lot of magic but there are different kinds of magic I like the storyline aspects that goes along with the boutique a lot and I think that's fun and I think it's fun and cool finding new ways to play with that I also love interacting with kids and for the most part at the boutique like I obviously talk to parents but I really try and focus my energy and attention onto the child because at the end of the day this transformation for the most part is for the kid now obviously grown-ups get a say and there are definitely times that like parents need to step in and like help their kid but for the most part like I'm not sitting there having a conversation with mom and dad I'm sitting there having a conversation with the kid which I feel like I didn't really get to do in flitter pass PhotoPass was much quicker paced like if I was like on Main Street or something like yes I could take an extra couple minutes with the family but at the end of the day like I'm really only getting a maximum of like five minutes talking to these people whereas at the boutique depending on where I am I'm with a kid for 30 minutes and I'm really working just one-on-one with them and getting to know them whereas in PhotoPass it's just kind of like me telling them what to do I don't know they're very different and it's not mean necessarily liking one better than the other just like it definitely has those moments that are like stressful and difficult but that's also just life so I don't know well my makeup is done so I'm gonna brush my teeth and we'll carry on this conversation in a second one thing that I guess I was like a little worried about between the differences was I was gonna get bored at the boutique in PhotoPass like you are moving locations Dubrovnik two hours or so so even if I was like on Main Street I made me in front of the castle or I could be inside at the few station hopping gas or I could be inside with Tinkerbell that like my day was always changing and it's not like oh I'm on Main Street today so this is gonna be my schedule like I could work three main street ships in a row and every single day be completely different where's the boutique like I'm either in the castle doing the transformations or I'm over in the check-in area either checking guests in helping kids pick out their hairstyles helping them figure out like what dress and everything they want to get so I was worried that I was gonna honestly get bored and that it would like get really not fun after doing it for like three days but I think because like every kid is so different like for the most part like each kid gets a different hairstyle like or they have just like a different hair type or links or whatever I don't get bored like it's always new and fun and kids just have such different personalities from one another that like it's fun I don't know it's I just love kids that I like interacting with kids and they keep me very entertained which we are all for before I get dressed I'm gonna go ahead and do my hair I do have a little like halo thing that I have to wear in my hair which is not my favorite part of the job um so I wear my hair and my two little party ponies a lot just because it's the easiest way for me to get it out of my face and still be able to easily get my halo one sometimes I wear my hair half up half down but it just like I don't know it just doesn't look great with the halo this hairstyle just works for me I mean I wear my hair like this every day even if I'm not working like this is just my go-to hair so like it's nothing new but it works very well with my headpiece so we do it what is this today she's larger than charge we're gonna help my halo covers it so my costume for work has three different pieces to it there's a shirt a skirt and then a vest each of those comes in blue purple and pink and one thing that I really like and I think it's fun is we can mix and match them however we want I have a set like this is what I wear with the pink skirt this is what I wear with the blue skirt kind of deal I don't know what I want to wear today I may go I think we're gonna go pink and purple today because that's normally my go-to because I like the pink skirt a lot so we have the hot pink skirt which really doesn't match anything but it's my favorite one and I love it has little like pixie dust down around the bottom which I just think is really cute and fun I wear it with a light pink shirt because why not and then the pink and purple vest and the vest has all that seemed like pixie dust all around it which is super cute [Music] [Laughter] [Music] next is the halo when I wear this color combination I wear it with a pink halo with a purple veil don't ask me why I don't know I figured this all out like the very beginning of my program and this is just what we've stuck with literally the whole time so I put it on let's take some little bobby pins in it just let them fly off I normally then like tighten up my little ponytail so that they actually like sit up higher and not like get stuck underneath of the halo because that's not the look that's what it looks like a little veil she's cute remember when I said that hopefully my halo would cover how poufy my hair is it didn't I have this little broach that I wear this one comes in the opal one that I have and then like a sparkly hot pink one I don't love the pink one so I only have this one and this is the only one that I wear I have lots a little like details of different princesses or on the outside though like I think this is genuinely so cool and so pretty I of course need my nametag too which i think is still pinned to a different vest so we gotta go find her I also have to wear like pantyhose and shoes obviously the pantyhose that I wear are just like knee highs because there's literally no point wearing anything higher considering my skirt goes down to my calves so we're gonna grab those these are my shoes they're covered in pixie dust but you know that's part of the fun so that is my full costume done do you want to see a nice little twirl sure this is she looks like I think she's cute I like it it's relatively comfortable it's not uncomfortable if it's hot outside or it's like hot indoors then it's very heavy because all this material is really thick and not breathable but for being inside Jose I like it it's cute and comfy I can wear my Apple watch which is nice and convenient I don't have to take that off and my both of the pairs of glasses that I have for both Disney look I get a lot of questions about those so I have then the clear ones that I was wearing like the very very beginning in the morning those are all Disney look so if you have questions about glasses you're probably fine I promise I normally leave for work about an hour before my shift starts so I still have like 10 15 minutes to get like my back together and make sure that I have everything that I'm gonna need for the day but that is going to be the end of this video I hope you enjoyed watching me get
