The Arc browser is coming to Windows and if you want to try it this video will tell you everything you need to know what is Arc well the arc browser is made by the browser company and it's actually a really cool project it whole stick is to simplify a really cluttered browsers with tons going on into a more simplistic view where things just work are super easy to understand and keep you well focused at least that's what I get from it the only thing is is that Windows users up until this point haven't actually been able to use this at all it's a Mac exclusive app built in Swift and also there's a IOS app too but anyways up until now Windows users have had no access to Arc and if you want to get it you'll need to join the wait list which you can find on ar.net by clicking this button over here eventually when the wait list gets across to you you'll receive an email that looks something like this welcome to the arc for Windows beta all you need to do is click the download button here when you do so it'll download a arc. apppp installer that you can use to install a new browser just keep in mind the only official way to get this app installer is to click the link that you get in your email when you apply and eventually get through the wait list all you need to do is open it up where you'll find the Windows store app installer simply choose install and when it's done it'll fire up if you have this option ticked now the only thing is is that as far as I understand you need Windows 11 you can't run this on Windows 10 but then again I've seen people run it on Windows 10 so anyways for the most part I've got Windows 11 set up so I can install it and get straight into it clicking through the intro here we'll be asked to create an account so I'll create one now when we create our account it'll prompt us to import passwords tabs Etc from our different browsers all of these are super cluttered and I don't really have anything I want to bring across so I'll start fresh and I won't be making it the default option for now when we use the get started button it fires up and there we go it's in a semi-transparent window window where we can see through it to my desktop background here pretty cool and of course we can get around with the tabs on the far left the first tab is the getting started for Windows which you'll find Linked In the description down below here you'll find some info about downloading and installing even though we've already done that and testing over here as well as bug reporting also if you've gotone to customizing using it on Mac OS already you can import a couple of things and some settings but just a quick note this is still a beta so there's a ton of features still missing you can check is arc on Windows yet.com roadmap and here clicking this instead of it opening in a new tab it opens as a popup there are currently 71,000 users on board since December 11th and of course when you join the wait list you might be added to this pretty soon scrolling down here you'll find exactly what features have currently shipped in the road mapap and what's still coming as well as what's planned for sometime in the future obviously there's quite a few features here but it's it's not everything that you're used to if you use ARC on Mac ready there is still going to be quite a bit of Dev time and looking through the talks that they've given on their YouTube channel developing Force Swift on Windows is quite intense for what they're doing and of course it is going to take quite a bit of time for them to rebuild a lot of things from scratch but beyond that we're free to test it and play around with it and to be honest it does actually look really good for keeping yourself focused if we click the icon in the top left we get a couple of different options such as setting as default importing updating as well as new tab window and incognito window we can have a look at spaces where we can create new spaces Al call us test we can give it a theme and even make a new profile so I'll choose a different color here for example create space and there we go we have a different space we can make new tabs and it pops up in this cool little window here which I assume you can use different shortcuts and things like that in but for now I'll just be using it as a URL B heading across to my YouTube channel you can see the tab on the far left instead of on the top and it's a whole different design a few things are pinned like Gmail and the calendar although now it's Chang to workspace and for the most part it's a usable normal browser obviously there's tons of features that I'll personally be missing out on as I haven't had much time to play around with it I've quite literally just got the email and got access to it but if you're a fan on Mac then you're definitely going to enjoy using it on Windows 2 the spaces is a pretty cool idea we can change completely between two browsers so for example using the bottom left here we have our first space with all of our open tabs the second space here which we can use for a different thing say you're a programmer and a YouTuber or something like that it's nice to have one window with a whole bunch of things built into it rather than having a whole bunch of windows open taking up space Etc we can hide the sidebar entirely by toggling it in the far left and now we have a super focused window that we can work with here no tabs no nothing you're just working with whatever is here and if you need it you can hover over the far left and head across to your other tabs or even profiles it's a really cool idea and most but not all of the features you're used to on Mac will be here already finally going through the help section there's a whole bunch of options here as well as settings added here under our different profiles we can set a search engine change advanced search settings where there's quite a bit built out already as well as set up how Tabs are archived so if you leave them open for more than 12 hours they get sent across to an archive and taken out of your space Alli get to focus on the next day's work etc it's a really cool design in the advanced search settings here we get taken across to the settings page Arc settings and here we can customize our profile Auto fills security performance Etc now as far as I understand it's not completely a reskin of chrome although it does run with chrome we can install normal Chrome extensions it's more of a rebuild of the entire browser as far as I understand pretty much everything is different and build to look and feel pretty much like the Mac version and it actually does a really good job but anyways unfortunately the only place to get access to this is by joining the wait list and of course you'll find that in the description down below so hopefully you enjoyed this quick little dip into the arc browser from the browser company hopefully you found this video useful my name is being troubleshoot and I'll see you all next time CIA
