Super interesting talk. Few Tesla related points:
Lex Fridman on Joe Rogan was really good, too
Such a good podcast. I really enjoy George Hotz. He speaks highly of Tesla and Elon
Awesome...I really loved his comment on using the wheel for both drivers monitoring and for disengagement. It drives me crazy, since my Honda had better integration of LKA. It basically never disengaged LKA. If I changed lanes manually, the LKA would pause and then auto re-engage when it could. Sooooo much more seamless and intuitive.
And his comments on NOA are just spot on IMO.
my god this interviewer. he's such a slow talker and he's so bad at summarizing what the interviewee is saying that it kills me. he gets the best guests but i want to pull my hair out watching him talk. same thing last time with elon musk. i'm sure the guy is super smart but man he sounds like an idiot.
1:30 I guess the 3th problem mentioned, is what Tesla is doing with Project Dojo
Reinforced learning
Why is he so angry looking?
'I am an agent. I am put into this world and I don't really know what my purpose is. But if you're if you're an intelligent agent and you're put into a world what is the ideal thing to do? Well the ideal thing mathematically, you go back to like Schmidhuber's theories about this, is to build a compressive model of the world to build a maximally compressive... to explore the world such that your exploration function maximizes the derivative of compression of the past. Schmidhuber has a paper about this and like I took that kind of as like a personal goal function. So what I mean to win I mean like maybe... maybe this is religious but like I think that in the future I might be given a real purpose or I may decide this purpose myself and then at that point now I know what the game is and I know how to win I think right now I'm still just trying to figure out what the game is, bit once I know...'
I don't think he is trolling with this one. The paper he refers to may be this one.
