GAS ONE GS-3400P Portable Outdoor Dual Fuel Stove Review.

oh hi everyone this is Explorer 867 and today is the first day of the rest of your life so get out and enjoy it get out in the field and see something new today I'm over in the Willamette Valley in Oregon and at my mom's house helping her with some some projects and I received I just received this in the mail and I want to do a package opening here so let's do that it's an unveiling I guess huh so we have had in the past we've got a stove that we've been using which is a Coleman stove just down here and the Coleman stove is this one here you guys have probably seen this if you've been watching the videos we've had some issues with this we bought this in Alaska about 10 years ago and we've used it a lot but the controls on it for the flame no longer functioned properly and it's really hard to get an accurate flame so we thought well let's let's do some research and find find out what our options are for stoves and we came up with this one here so let's open it up take a look at it and we'll actually do a test fire on it just as well so we'll get it out this little stove is made by gas one we did get it on Amazon and if you look below the video here you'll find an amazon link for this stove you can check it out for yourself there there in the $30.00 range I think it's about thirty-five dollars this is a GS 3400 P these are the little butane cylinders that you can buy for the stove and you just open the side housing up here take the little red cap off and then you've got a détente here that goes to the top just set it in here this goes right in that detent and then push your fuel lock lever down just like that close the side up and now you've got your butane inside the stove and then turn it on and as you can see or maybe not I don't know but there's you've got good flame here so very very easy to use very user-friendly okay let's let's go ahead and set this up for propane operation take off you can you can run the the hose if you want there's a whole proprietary hole right here you can run this right directly in there and then it has a little brass fitting in here let me turn it around so you can see it okay so it has a brass fitting right here and so this hose just screws right directly into that and just like that okay now one thing about the HOS is they are kind of kinky when they come out of the box and it is legitimately it is kind of cold out here there we go all right let's go ahead close that up let's go ahead and light this you can see that the burner I don't know if you can see it or not maybe you can't anyhow we've got pretty good flame edge going on here so that puts out a lot of heat okay so we've got our propane canister on the hose and it's all hooked up here so let's go ahead and turn this on turn the dial and you turn it down to ignite and it's it's got a what they call a pezzo spark lighter so you don't need matches which is kind of nice and this thing this thing really puts out a lot of heat so that's terrific and the flame itself I don't know I wrote them once again I don't know if you can see it or not but it so you can vector it from very low setting all the way up to you know the high setting and it really works quite well I'm impressed with this little stove the stove the stove itself it comes the kit comes with a windscreen and not all the stoves that you'll find come with the windscreen but you can the kit that I bought came with a windscreen and so when you're setting up and it's windy this just goes right around the stove and cuts that wind now when you're ready to put this away all you have to do is open the side housing up come over here grab your canister spin your canister off and then come in here and just disconnect your propane hose like that pull it out then it's kind of cold out here today but this has a little velcro fastener on it you get it undone here maybe too good a Velcro fastener okay and just you can just coil your hose up and put it in your bag right now I'm going to set it down here go ahead pull this up this just turns upside down and folds right into the stove so you're all done you're all set to pack this away and in his carry case you know it does it does come with a hard case so we'll go ahead and put it back in there I have another case that I'll put it in that's a soft case this just fits in the hard case on like a yay and closes up and you're all set to go let's go ahead and cook up some stir-fry vegetables and just see how this little guy performs okay it's doing a good job here plenty of heat that's plenty heat on the burner but all these vegetables smell so good [Music] okay our stir-fry is all completed here the the stove performed flawlessly it's a great little stove it's very lightweight the price is definitely right it
