Garage Wall Corrugated Steel Wainscot Install Part 2

[Music] well here's a pile of sheets I cut here's a whole about 53 or 54 sheets there should be enough I've got 3 12 foot lengths left if it's not enough I could cut a few more and if I don't goof anything up I should be ok so anyway there's a pile our first step is going to be putting on a edge a trim that's gonna be right here that is gonna be the first step once again here's the basic look the first thing I'm gonna do is attach that left J channel next to the overhead door rail but I got to cut it off we're gonna place this back is going to be the same height as the visit in so we'll cut that out square there [Music] there we had it first through his head so I mean used just a sheetrock screws [Applause] I'll make sure it's 11 excuse me plum and then pretty go over there the bottom course the bottom J channel it's up against the concrete I'm not even going to bother to rig it into that that's going to be free-floating I may end up putting a couple of rivets in from the J channel to the corrugated steel we'll decide that later so what I did was I took this stuff in place I scrubbed both sides of it makes it nice and clean I orient in it so it's all facing the same direction that's the future together all right the screws that I'm using today it's a number 10 by 1 inch pole barn screw it's got a little rubber piece on there to seal it so and as the screw we're going to use its quarter inch at night Roma sale special $1 all right let's say for now that was pretty simple I just made a little t-bar there for the top very similar it was super easy just a piece of wood cut off I'll make a mark there and that's where that's going to go so now maybe we can get some of this field done we're going to give it a shot [Music] Oh get a little trim to do on this one sorry for to it to set pieces almost perfect [Applause] [Music] [Music] well fortunately was able to get that they could get that out of my home to see if less if they got the reporters like the glasses together they still here a couple of custom eight I mentioned it earlier the video Safety's important kind of this stuff safety glasses are not enough get some goggles of this nitrile traveling you to go buy some right now so anyway we'll finish up here by the way you can't see anything up here with all the sparks so I'm just kind of resting on here and I'm watching a spot over here has a post where the blade is to keep this straight that's a vast improvement over what I had let's get a sparkling around all our own close by so anyway that all quite a bit scribe mark the first cutter here want straight that's right I thought of all babies that is potentials not feasible so to get this on the street - this edge then they can so this matches that take my coverage pencil and turn it on side just brush it against the wall surely I'll be at the bottom where the shade comes in I'm just gonna trim that off no need to watch that business all right I've trimmed this piece that took about five or six cuts to get it to basically conform to the wall it's close enough I'll have another piece butting up against against it so that's all originally it was going to bend these corners I'm glad I decided not to because there's no shaping as long well that just doesn't work keeping up with all sorts of buckling Tim says for something I didn't want where we're backing on it now to do this end wall [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] all right one little problem here to deal with these corners I didn't bend him I just buttered them up but that didn't work out perfectly good we still see the law on the tweet so simply I got a piece this piece I cut off to get it somewhere else that's just a scrap piece you know what dad's going there it's going to cover up that white wall a couple of sheetrock screws and I think we're gonna be golden like the problem trees love these but I need longer screw that let's do that let's pre-drill these all right we're gonna do a little pre drilling I couldn't even take a nail in just pop it through there with a nail repop you work equally as well [Music] all right well that finishes have a really nice no more weight showing that's the effect will look at for barely noticeable and I go do the other corners but there you are you
