hi I'm Jake with specialized garage doors in Salt Lake City we're going to discuss how to change the code for your garage door opener and to change the keypad code from outside what you're going to need you need the existing code that you've already got it set to in order to do this so what you do start by entering the existing code followed by pound and then you go ahead and punch in the new four-digit code you want and then press Enter okay then now now when you do your new code it should function correctly there you go when you're programming your keypad from the outside if you don't know your original code or if you never had it or if you forgot it what you're going to have to do is we're going to have to do it from the inside of the garage too in order to change that code so for this step you're going to need to know the four-digit code that you had in there before again that was Jake with specialized garage doors and we've just covered how to change the code for your garage door opener
