hi i'm lindsay treasurer with alder and tweed in big sky montana welcome to this new home we just designed [Music] something the client really wanted to focus on was how we could incorporate art throughout the home this is a piece they really loved and we wanted to bring a lot of impact to the entrance of the house a way to keep this monochromatic very neutral great room really interesting was adding and mixing textures we did this by these really great white sherpa chairs along with this woven rattan ottomans that again mixed textures and still brought a lot of interest [Music] some people think a sectional is too informal for a great room and i tend to disagree and so did my clients they wanted something really comfortable and cozy for their mountain house and the sectional was just the ticket sometimes when you have a really big space one coffee table just doesn't do it the way we were able to accommodate our big sectional in this great room was doing two coffee tables side by side another detail that makes this home special and really brings in the mountain modern vibe is the exterior rock on the fireplace this was used on the exterior of the house and why bringing it into the interior of the house really makes him feel cohesive when we were working in this room we really wanted to make sure everything felt proportional this is such a large scale with a big fireplace i needed a piece to really be able to balance that out this 60-inch mirror was a perfect piece to not only complement the fireplace but make the room feel bigger [Music] one of my favorite furniture pieces throughout this house is this custom dining table we took it from a 20-foot doug first lab and created this beautiful piece the client wanted something that their entire family could sit around for the holidays and we were able to achieve that with this piece a way that i was able to bring softness into this dining room was by these stationary drapes we used this beautiful wool plaid that not only brought in the colors of the great room but also just tied the entire space together when designing this kitchen we wanted it to feel really classic and timeless we ended up going with a white quartz that had some beautiful gray veining throughout that's not only going to look good today but for years to come in designing the master bedroom the client fell in love with the green leather wallpaper so we had to design everything around that to not make it feel too overpowering we kept all of the other finishes and fabrics in here pretty neutral so the green was really able to stand out on its own to tie in with the rest of the design of the master bedroom we took the main focal point of this room the color green and incorporated into the drapes but not fully just in two thirds down that was a way just to pay a little accent but not go overboard with more green [Music] when designing this bunk room the client wanted it to be really functional for their family now and their growing family of the future four full beds gave us the opportunity to do an all guys weekend or family guest week with kids later down the road in this bunk room we went with one of our most popular bunk bed designs a freestanding king bed with two fools above it this gives the client the opportunity to have a standard king guest suite but the bunk beds allow for kids or extra guests to stay whenever needed in designing this junior master bedroom we wanted it to feel just as luxurious as the master bedroom we did this by adding this great graphic headboard wallpaper and finishing it with this custom bed with the brass and fabric strapping [Music] details in designing this room the client fell in love with this accent wallpaper so when taking that the entire color palette and all the furniture pieces in this room were based off this wallpaper and making sure everything worked together and looked seamless and great this piece was really driven by the clients they wanted something really comfortable to put their feet up on but also have a tray inside so they could put food and drinks so they got the best of both worlds with this metal custom leather ottoman the clients love to entertain and have a lot of friends and family over so having a game area was really important to them we were able to get the best of both worlds doing a ping pong pool table combo along with the shuffleboard table in the same space [Music] thank you for joining me on this walk through this home i hope you enjoyed it and feel inspired moving forward
