that fairly nicely on the way in so showing some skill against a safely skilled champion I like that tell us first two big shots with to the body that's going to be a good strategy for him the later this fight goes got worn by Gary Rosato experienced referee body shots there by farmers firing out of jam and Carols talking to him you know he can't punch him at this point you know press conference weighing all right you're yapping at him get it very confident well maybe he feels decent the ways in there no I'm not getting blown out again he's felt good the entire time the entire buildup [Applause] no farmer I should mention does not have tremendous power he is in there to box and can overwhelm me with his skill and his consistency but he is not the type of fighter that will just hit with one shot and knock you back to Sergio's points general Carroll leaves in cell Bolton blows body shots just a few fights ago we saw Tevin farmer put down and put out James Tennyson for the series of savage punish very good head movement there from Carroll though and he follows up with the right hook to the body that was good work that's the type of skill he's gonna need here tonight and that was that was impressive [Music] child looks like a strong puncher even though his record doesn't indicate my chest power with only three knockouts and 16 fights but they're strong that look at their cutting punches I'm having a lot more success here in the final minute we're throwing those body shots and it's Sergio it's an excellent point you could say it is hard and he's balanced he's balanced in poised even though he doesn't seem poised he fights poised this is body shot Center very good body shots at the end of that round punctuating an excellent start by the Challenger [Applause] minute to win the round but razor close I'm very impressed again Carol coming out and moving his head beautifully throwing hard body shots especially at the end of that round as you heard the Chino rebuffs in the corner really not too upset about things and giving Kevin farmer some advice just to be calm but you see farmer is bothered by Carol in front of him already in round two oh yeah tenant farmers gonna have his hands full the longer this fight goes Carol is gonna get more comfortable with that presser he's still yapping out of them farmer coming in with quick hands well you see again Carol coming in and his behind his body's behind those shots so that's not a feather duster that's how I hit pretty hard and he's punching them anywhere anywhere he'll end the gloves on on the chest the arms the stomach anything that's a smart thing by Carol u.s. debut for John Oh Carol sixteen oh and one Gudrun hook there by Carol farmer better watch out you got to keep that cinta [Applause] [Music] just very solid defense and very good check me if you didn't know you think carol was a a guy who had not on 200 ammeter five said the real pedigree because he's solid in there right now they're gonna watch Donald Kerr oh I thought he was feisty confidence scrappy but right now I've seen a power puncher in and even though he doesn't have the power they are voting shots and focused not focus doing his job well showing some diversity I'm looking at moving his head on the way in and throwing body shots and in combination from the beginning of the round its first two big shots were to the body I said that's a great strategy so early Kevin farmer beat Billy did to win the 130 pound world title back in August a win tonight would make it four wins and three title defenses in seven months quite a run but he is in tough right now you can tell John O Carroll's the entire strategy in camp was to kill the body a farmer because everything is hard and thudding down stairs those are wicked shot sir oh yeah [Applause] hard shots again another right hook nose a hard left hook right hook to the body digging in those shots every punches to the body five six seven punches to the body now of its strategy you wonder if Carol can keep up this intensity but you have to admit it is working right now oh yeah history has proven when I watch his fight he's always the condition so yes I think he's gonna be able to endure outstanding start here against the champions heaven farmer who has been on a tremendous run that called him as well just moving his head and talking to Gary Rosato trying to figure out what that [Applause] they're telling Chunnel Carol you need to win every round Chris Maddox says he won both rounds run both rounds I thought the second round was even more convincing than the first again and from just a pure boxing perspective head movement body shots in combination focus hard shots as well he's balanced he's poised and he is relentless on farmer farmer Sergio Mora is a tough guy to outbox he's out boxing he's out banging him to the body that's for sure he's discouraging him with pressure and body shots right now Terrell is got caught fair farmer able to catch him on the way in unable to avoid those shots but he slips he slips the jab very well on the way out when I was studying Carroll olives the first thing I thought it don't let this guy dictate the pace because if he gets in there confident so it's banging away to the body it's gonna be a long night for tenant farmer comes off a disappointing draw still gets the title shot and he is making the most of it going digging away everything is to the body take a look at the power punches here look for two rounds Jonathan Woodson five not what Tevin farmer expected for his homecoming but this was some trash-talking guy that was beneath him lower than his level the way he's been peeking he can outfox anyone in the division he's looking for Javonte Davis but now John O'Carroll is making his presence known good counter shot by farmer big counter shot by farmer right there like a left hook 45-degree punch now with the uppercut is he taking the advice from Chino leave us now now farmers having some really good shots good right hook by farmer for the first time has him in the corner and now he's muscling up part of again that time with the left hand Farmar is being tested and he's answered whole minute left [Applause] this is the price you pay if you go inside like that and jail like general Carolyn's oh yeah he's getting hit with some good uppercuts left hooks but that's what he needs to do carry to stay in there landing on that body the longer this fight goes the more he invested it Carol looks like he's cut right under the right eyebrow up to take a closer look at that yeah I see a little red see some blood goes to work body shots again landing by Carol Carol is not giving up on that wonder if carol is slightly gassed here and farmer able to answer crate uppercut my farmer his shots are not quite as sharp he might need a breather farmer jumps in but he gets caught happy sloppy [Applause] we can have a war here fellas [Music] I don't want so many fun I don't want so many punches without control tilt recombination you did and start to try out to go to the head you're close to him go straight front is no upper cut to the head okay and no attack control two punches no three punches close okay I don't world seek search parties of Isis okay yes the way you do everything is composed everything you say your face your dick you say you'd be finished he says sir unfortunately that's okay okay and that's what we want because we default in himself outstanding that's what we spoke about games to perfection staying inside okay in if you thought of you and IQ shows in the ring that fights that are closed early get opened up quickly let's see this is a true test where Jean Oh Carol the Challenger has boxed beautifully in the early rounds now can farmer make that adjustment Chris max I'll go back to you on the round you're trying to score these rounds it's in light Tamara was able to come back a bit in that round three yeah I thought that was a clear win in round three four seven farmer kind of shades of the last fight we saw drive with Roseville and they came out guns blazing faded after that second C and John Ocala fade a little bit is that second round flooring yeah I wonder if he can possibly keep that level of intensity now his corner telling him that hey look don't try to throw so many punches save it he slips that is able to answer back the farmer is getting in his grill right now in his beard ethical person this is a good scrap and you know what both of them aren't using their lefty advantages this is a bra and a good scrap and you can see Carol able to get out of harm's way looked at that ability to move your head is everything sir chills oh yeah I'm in a career doing that you got to move your head but also yeah you got to move your feet with it you can't just their upper body can't go without your feet you have to be in unison farmer able to pick them off there with the jab now tries to get his distance and keep him at the end of that jab but it's difficult again carol has been very strong so far in this fight Carol added a really good uppercut to the stomach right now being a cop farmers attention good body shot to the gut well early on is that's another part bodyshop I mean no matter what type of condition you're in there's a wither and body size oh they'll take it out of you yes those are looked even when you brought them they're still effective punches your own outlook digs into your rib carroll doing good work here in the middle of round four able to touch able to land with body shots still cut however I haven't heard I believe that has to be from a punch haven't heard anything abut otherwise doesn't seem to be much of a factor at the moment well that certainly could get worse good body shot by former and Carol answers exhaling body shot by farmer I don't think that that cuts going to be too much of a problem both fighters are marrying body shots [Applause] well carol has been true to his nickname celtic warrior he has really brought it against the guy who's peeking again we're not to sail heaven farmers pound-for-pound and all that but it's a guy who has gotten butter and better and with his boxing ability he can box against anybody look this is the kind of fight that john O'Carroll wants to be in right now it's his style it's a seven farmers who have a bit better than him his last couple roads farmer goes to work to the body power looking to answer to punch the weights around [Applause] [Music] [Music] like celebrate no listen don't whine answer I want to get that left up model and bring it up in a hook stuff when you bring them up in the hood stop drop it back we give me the right hook behind it I want a little separation so we don't smoke the shaft power pressure okay beautiful girl standing you mean one guy's body punches so much when we flow through the arms or prefer to the head okay [Applause] thank you Miss round 5 here IBF junior lightweight championship 7 farmer and a very game an effective John O'Carroll from Dublin Ireland Gary Rosato telling us between rounds Chris Mannix that that was a clash of heads that caused that accidental head butt that caused the cut over the right eye of John O'Hara so if it does end the fight for some reason that cut in particular ends the fight and go to the scorecards and were already passed for surgery as you mentioned I don't see that being a a terribly difficult cut at this moment no it's not about it's not about cut but I would like to see farmer stay on his toes he started this time bouncing on his toes moving around because earlier in that last round farmer was fighting Carroll's fight I love its bite or show necessity landing and their landing power shots Carol dough has picked it back up he started to fade just a bit in the third round but now he is back in firing hard he does look like the stronger man and that's his fire in the inside even though a farmer is holding his own with some vicious body shots of his own I just think that's not his fight he needs to stay on his Toad's fight game in the jab catch Carol coming in we go buck Carroll with a good work rate and Lance the left hand throwing the body shot with the right this is an excellent fight guys the crowd is buzzing they love it champion testin not just to keep busy fight this is real off his head go close the bags down a job and you have to wonder John O'Carroll comes in with virtually no resume teman farmers say he picked him because of some trash talk on Twitter the tavern farmer underestimate John O Connor another lesson learned leave that stuff alone don't answer [Applause] gets a break our risotto at the first break in the action we'll get it back in there and we see there is more blood flying now Peter so even though Carol is having success farmer is getting his [Applause] farmer Dixon again so if the mouthpiece comes out what does that tell you Sergio that means that those body shots are taking their fat Carol is opening his mouth another hard shot by farmer the jam it says body shots I set up that riders over right now I would love to see farmers stick to the body [Applause] real the side of his trunks I thought that was I thought his rats were coming loose I've never seen tassels on trunks yeah you've got to get rid of those don't you that cut is fairly deep you see on the right eye of Donald Carroll but not bleeding the doing a good job in the corner of stemming that flow you can see the tassels at one point when farmer was flipping his jab out that those tassels came up in the air you can't have that that operates as a blinder almost it's like having another jab another good uppercut that is landing performer push the head down those are hard shot [Applause] now here's the real test all the trash talk all that energy real mom does John Oh Carol have the energy to actually bring it into the boxing match he seems to try to summon it right now Carol showed that he's feisty he's company scrappy and he's always in good shape and then a low blow there by farmer but yes I think he can go into the later rounds with condition yes sure he's a bigger fight though Sergio does that drain a little bit from you going through although histrionics while Carol told us that he loves the big stage this is what he lifts where he wants this so it doesn't get bigger than a world title fight so this is it you can wanna go Sergio what about living through it we're gonna find out right now get into big fights and they say hey you know what I was drained the energy was different and farmer is now picking his shots [Applause] partner state composed all week and look at the stay composed here nice jab beautiful shot that's what type of farmer does in the answers and now he's the one slipping and hit it off farmers having fun now both shouting everything let me now push them off [Applause] bring up off-track bring up up a lot of those shots have been low carry career two two and one again had a torn bicep during a fight finished that fight later was shot in that hand lost a controversial decision to a guy on synthetic testosterone and yet now hasn't lost in seven years now look he's built himself up until this point the hard ways everything seven farmer has done he's active and you can see all of that resolve all that character built up and shown now in the rain where he has a spirited attack from John Oh Carol and he has been able to systematically repel it not out of the woods yet round Sunday scheduled for 12:00 now Carol proved he could take a punch he took on vicious right hook by former [Applause] hunting up front and throwing hard hooks snaps out the jab as well not moving his head the same way now it becomes evident when he does move his head because in the early rounds Chris he was all over that great point that you heard his corners say you're still going in but you're not putting anything behind it so you're seeing John O'Carroll kind of follow tempered farm around but the punch output is in the south and following him right and not staying back and waiting for an opportunity and then pouncing those first two rounds he really pounced and made it louder but he waited and then cut so while speed and angles discouraged a fighter if you're not gonna stay in front of a fighter he leans to southpaw angles and you're gonna Bank to the body like farmers doing it's just discouraging and Chris Mannix made an excellent point earlier when I asked about the rounds you also have to figure out how many rounds are close how many rounds that could a judge reasonably have either way that way you're not outraged at the end about half that he might have said be close but at this point it's effective punching general Carroll might have a higher output with the effective punching for Tevin farmer has been just right there and yet a judge does score it round by round he hands it in and that's it that's how it works and the early rounds went to Karen can he take a round here and there Carol's corner by the way does not think so I think farmer just heard Carol to the body he come to the left side of the body with family what are we hearing LZ thanks laughs became you know is it truly is this true story that every parent wants their child turned out to be better than the what they'd were one in this case for Kevin farmer sitting here watching his fun Tevin farmer box is exactly that he played football Kevin did growing up Kevin was a better football player kevin is a better boxer Kevin tried to box Kevin is just a better competitor boxer than here and as far as sitting there and he said you know what I'm so proud of him because everything I did he did except he's just naturally better he did all the work he did put in all the effort he didn't ride my coattails I'm riding here's it's a beautiful father-and-son story and if you look at the family after watching his son and his big night in their hometown you can see nothing but smiles and pride on their faces back to you guys healthy thank you so much it's a valid point farmers started boxing at 19 yeah I mean I took very late that's what you know Deontay Wilder you gave him the pass for you know how slowly he was brought around in the heavyweight division because it started boxing at 19 and that's what Kevin farmer did in his life it's amazing given his skill set and it's even more difficult to rise around that weight class Deontay Wilder was able to get away with it because he has that huge knockout power Tevin farmer has him do it just pure skill you know he has all that skill he said look I was moving like this before I ever saw any tapes on the fighters they compared me to like Pernell Whitaker so I didn't know I moved like those guys I don't think he moves exactly like sweep knee but occasionally just see some beautiful ft work like that round eight championship twelve rounds of course Jean Apparel has brought it here in Philadelphia on st. Patrick's Day weekend farmer has responded beautifully but he's in a fight yeah yes farmer told us that he knew for a fact that Carol wasn't a tough guy I think it disagrees now why the things that they said about each other a secret pathway ok right he's nothing he's not visited acknowledged it's not true but you're right Carol was unproven coming in he's proving quite a bit here tonight let's see if he can finish off [Applause] hop behind his head oops [Music] this Oh [Applause] what's in the back of his head Joe sure heads watch your head [Applause] yes [Applause] both fighters understandably exhausted at this point fighting on but the pace is slower the punch is a little less crisp but it's still really nice work by both fighters covering rolling with shots turning their their cheek whenever went over the lam the punch land they turned their just really artistic inside fighting solid professional work the work rate is high both fighters trying to do damage at close range and surgeon is a lot more pressure at close range oh yeah that's all talking about their does look fun they didn't roll with that punch and carol was able to land a solid shot and here comes farmer Chris Mannix how you scored this round this is difficult good luck sir sure we're going to wait for the final 18 second yeah nice jab by farmer good work but look there there's decent work by both those shots better second break Rachel was like a violin the back ballet he's for the bow say Mike both men were good with the bell ringing they're starting to swim out [Applause] go on little step back so I want to stay so Brooklyn okay good like it was in the last round before okay thank you miss that back next about Francesca lo ok chest and body and when it grows Africa to the head in that in your limbs just leaders level to the ship I'm gonna say Jack you're not gonna find out and here's what I mean by violent ballet because one one fighter lands the other one lands one rolls one is just back and forth super synchronize punishment it's a close fight how do you have it Chris got it even through eight rounds four rounds apiece but again four of these rounds of my card have been razor thin could go either way again we're in seven farmers hometown that should not matter in the slightest you know look the crowd can affect you somewhat certainly but you should be able to judge the fight even when you're looking at so I'm not making excuses it just is what it is and we saw it with the Gabe Rosado fight earlier against Matt Chuck so let's go see this is farmer's fight arnestos touchy no fighting behind the jab it seemed like early in the fight he was fighting Carol's fight too much trying to be tough trying to talk tough the tough guy you're a boxer move on your toes get me here the jab [Applause] as a change in tactics and that is definitely to the advantage of farmer that bottle gets him on the ropes Carol up tall hard body shots our were able to answer with his own body son he done he throws that one wicked body shot out that can keep a man honest you know just devastating body shots fight Carroll on this round now all it touch them to the head as well Carroll now slightly rejuvenated just at the moment you think farmer can take over Carol does not allow it to happen the question is is John Oh Carol who gets that ten eleven twelve rounds he find that second wind and get back to the output we saw in the first few rounds and clearly win rounds two going to be difficult right here though he's now we're halfway through Sergio he seems to have turned it around within this night round farmers started with his toes like he showed up fighting behind the jab but once those what's his back hit the ropes his body shots then it's suede Carol's way as you pointed out when farmer is up on his toes behind the jab moving slipping but he's hard to even find as he stands there flat-footed now Carol can relax a little bit he's able to move his head and laid the body shop just like that great party shot there by Carol [Applause] you can see the muscle memory on John O'Farrell still able to selectively body shots - No convincing no question on the check and here's the thing right now I've been in situations like this where I feel planning the better shot but are the judges do they like volume of Cara we'll do consistent in their intensity and Tevin farmer needed every bit of that tonight seven farmer told us he was going to dictate the pace that didn't happen that he wasn't gonna take no punishment that do agree that farmer won the fight I just think care will deserve more than what he got yeah Carol really brought it let's take a look at some of the numbers again the work rate from Carol was out of this world twelve hundred and twenty seven punches thrown Annie out landed seven farmer hmm so the accuracy for farmer Carol with the higher work rate and again carol was not feather dusting Carol was throwing hard shots landing power shots Chris Mannix is in the ring with the champ davin congratulations you get the win your third title defense in a very tough fight what you think about your performance uh it was a good performance you know I think even when I made my best I'm gonna say it still me I need to be I needed proof so you know I always think I need to be able I need to improve but it was a great fight um he talked a lot he came he showed up me I got a number respect for him hey that's what it is John Oh Carol has a very specific style he likes to make it a fight on the inside he likes throw a lot of punches it seemed like you were willing to fight his type of fight were you yeah you know you see I'll boxing when I wanted to I won this I went on to it I could have stayed on the outside the whole night but there never been too easy you know I know nobody liked getting hit but you know I wanted to go and see what was hit before I know we had a lot of words leading up to this camp you know I had to see where heart was it you seemed to show some urgency in that 11th round you got him hurt you're very nearly were labeled to put him out of there did you feel like the fight was close as you get to those final rounds absolutely not the fight wedding clothes you know as the world champions do world champion we are we wanted to finish the fight style you know and that's what I learned more and more bands do I started boxing League did you worry at all during this fight he was throwing a lot of punches not all of them were landing and not as effective as yours but did you worry that that might influence the judges no the judge is going to think what they want I'm a fighter I'm gonna fight if the judges see something that's what they see I can't go toward the judges so why worry I was always told you if you can't control it don't worry about it so you make that third title defense and you're still out there looking for that big signature fight everybody talks about you against your Vontae Davis do you believe you can get your Vontae Davis into the ring obviously I don't really care you know I had you been tonight and we go back we go back to the behind the saying if you do real business you know everybody know where Johnny Davis got offered were stepping forward may offer you know it takes two to tango and I feel like I feel like made
