hey guys what's up check out this dent right here we're gonna try and pull this one out right here let's see if we can do this [Music] [Music] all right check it out that one second fused that thing on there pretty good it's kind of hard to see but it is pulling it out so oh that one came off whoa i arc between one of the other ones that one might come off it is working i mean it's not the dense stair but it's not as bad as it was [Music] it's probably good enough and just clean it up a little bit and fix it with filler i mean this whole thing's got creases and dings and stuff in it it's gonna have to be filled but that was a pretty good dent now it's not as bad so that the depth of the filler will be a lot less give you a close-up here kind of hard to tell but it is a lot smoother now i'm gonna leave them on there for now i might mess around with a little bit more let's move over here and see if we can clean this one up this one's really bad [Applause] see if you guys can see this but there was a pretty good dent there before still you can see a little bit of a dip here i'm gonna put a couple more here and just keep pulling on a little bit it's better than it was pretty cool and you can see there's next to it looks like an old where they tried to pull out a dent from way back see those leftover holes there this was going to take a while i don't know if we would like it get how good we'll be able to get to this one but we're going to do our best to get it as flat as possible to minimize how thick the filler's going to be same thing over here we're just going to clean everything out the best we can they already did a ton of work on this back when it was wrecked so we'll try to get it a little bit better and we're going to replace this rear apron area battery tray got all that stuff over here i'm gonna turn the car around so we got some nice sunlight yeah we've got some nice natural light coming in here help us see a little bit better all right guys let's see if we can get this old metal out of here and get it ready to install the new metal that we have we've got a bunch of new pieces here i've never really done any of this work before so it's going to be interesting i've messed around with a little bit on rusty but this is gonna be the real deal here all right let's see what happens [Music] oh [Music] so china [Music] so hmm that side came out pretty easy try to save this piece i'm not sure exactly how it's connected in here but you might have to replace it if they have that piece to replace let's see if that's available you guys know comment below we got that bracket just a little bit but that's not bad just nicked it a little bit this will we're going to peel this up here [Music] and uh try to save this whole section in really good shape so just peel this piece back hey buster what's going on buddy you chilling come down hang out all right [Music] let's see if we can peel this back [Music] [Music] all right off easier than i thought it would clean that up a little bit and uh should be able to save all that straighten this bracket out here got bent right here all these pieces connect underneath usually they'll save that [Music] all right i think we're done on this side for now pretty good we'll clean that up a little bit let's dig into this i want to try to save this if possible and save this too and then we'll just take the new one cut this off maybe if we can cut back to here i guess and try to save this piece i'm gonna try to peel this top layer off that they threw on here i just put a scrap piece of metal on top of here let's see if we can get this off uh right so we got that scrap piece that they put on there off all right it was getting a little too hot in the sun so i turned the car back around let's see if we can clean this up peel this back get this out of here and i'm going to try to save this here and as much of this as possible so i think to start i'm going to cut right here and then cut across here and just peel as much of this back we'll probably end up cutting more back here um just keep cleaning this up i'll give you a shot from underneath real quick it's pretty it's pretty rough under here you can see where they added a big patch that's not factory that's just a big patch they added there because you know the original piece rusted out [Music] and you can see the bumper brackets all rusted out so that's why i got a new one for this side so let's see if we can get this cleaned up i'm gonna try not to cut through this support bracket here hey [Music] [Music] hmm [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] you can kind of see how this is all pieced together here this is the what remains of the battery tray laying on top of this brace and then on top of that there's a little bit of what remains of that that centerpiece right here so i'm just trying to get a visual of where they've got it and uh let me cut this out just slowly kind of peeling it away and try to save this this bracket's kind of in the way right here um but we'll probably end up coming up here and cutting that bracket out trying to take my time and not take out too much see this piece here you can see where it's kind of they took them this was all gone and they just took a scrap piece of metal and pieced it in there all this is just like a scrap piece of metal then on the back side here they put a bunch of filler let's see how the battery tray goes all the way back here to the back battery tray goes all the way back here this piece which is like the bumper bracket is all tucked in here that's all gonna have to come out this is all this all needs to be replaced so i'm just making sure i got some good visuals on it here before i pull it all out i want to keep this piece on here for now but i'm gonna see if we can order another one this is gonna this is going to take some time putting all this together so you can see there's a there's a big gap there that's where that insulation that gasket was it's kind of like a just an insulator insulate it from vibration and uh water getting up in there but it feels like it's tacked here and here here so i'm gonna try to cut this out right here just keep cleaning this up [Music] [Music] let's see if we get that bumper bracket off man you gotta be careful moving around in here jab into one of these my back hit the back here and it's not gonna feel good loosen it loosen it there we go man those are crispy [Music] [Applause] [Music] well we're getting there it's like a can of worms yep it's messy i mean they made it look pretty good but i used a ton of filler i'm gonna cut this here try to peel this off and just keep peeling this back and i'm going to cut here i want to cut below this line i don't want to cut right on that line i want to cut below it maybe down here and just peel this off [Music] so [Music] [Applause] so you kind of see what's going on from here [Music] we're going to come up a little higher clean up some of this get this cleaned up keep cleaning this up this is going to come out this is all gonna come out here i'm just trying to save this right now until i figure out if they make this piece hopefully they make this piece here and it goes all the way over to here somehow because this piece goes here see how it only goes halfway to the basically center of tail light so i need the other half here so hopefully make the piece that goes from here over something like this i don't know it'd be nice because it's all pretty normally but i'm going to leave this for now i want to take any of this out i want to save this for now just in case just in case they don't make that we'll clean this up the best we can and put this on to right there and kind of see now what we're getting too so we've got a little bit more room to play with we should come up [Music] we come up a little higher but i'm gonna leave it for now definitely gotten a better visual of what's going on getting that out of there um yeah so i'm going to continue to work with this clean this up i'm just slowly using my way back i don't know how far back i want to go with the battery tray i think what i'm going to do is cut right here here here right up into this corner it's like basically cut right up to this edge here [Music] [Applause] [Applause] there we go [Music] big gap right there all right that's looking pretty good this piece here um it's got these this is where the engine gasket goes the engine seal it's a rubber seal slide in here they need to be bent in a little bit [Music] probably a better way to do that but maybe you just cut it off [Music] [Music] so i imagine you gotta get it pretty straight because you gotta get the hood to line up to this bracket here it's going to have to be pretty accurate i mean that looks centered just eyeballing it i look like i'm in the center here so i'm in the ballpark of where i need to be um it's hard to tell looking at this because it's all disintegrated and this side was damaged so it's kind of hard to tell here too but i got an idea of where i'm at yeah i think somehow this curved piece sits on top of this groove so this is the center there's a notch right here there's two screws on each side that's where the the trunk the engine lid connects right here and it's almost center there's a couple points here reference points here we can see where center is it could go either way just a little bit but we need to be able to get this lip up on here i might be replacing this whole piece anyway but i'm just trying to you know see where i'm at see where we're going maybe this piece gets trimmed back a little bit i don't want to cut anything yet i already cut the seal thing but that's not a big deal because the seal is all one piece and it just needs to go
