Frozen 2 Theory: Elsa Is Just One Of Four Superpowered Princesses

Elsa Anna and the gang may not have had a lot to say in the frozen to teaser trailer actually they said nothing at all but we sure did get some glorious new footage from the upcoming Disney sequel when we weren't cheering on Elsa across the massive ocean waves we were analyzing every single pixel on screen move over Olaf we've got some new theories to explore while Elsa's ice powers were on full display there could have been some major hints that she won't be the only powerful being in frozen - actually there may be a total of four super-powered princesses filling up the screen but how and why well come for a journey to arendelle and we'll show you exactly what we're talking about upon first viewing one of the major takeaways from the frozen 2 trailer are all of the colors the icy white and blue from the first frozen film have been eliminated and replaced with the glorious colors of autumn clearly there's a new season around but the falling leaves and dark red hues may have a lot more meaning than just some new visuals or disney showing off their animation skills the ties and autumn could reflect the emergence of a whole new power coming from someone other than Elsa in frozen the movie was pretty ambiguous about Elsa's powers origins and if anyone else has them clearly the folks in arendelle had never seen anything like it when Elsa got just a little bit out of control during her coronation celebration but this doesn't mean there weren't other princesses yielding some hidden powers of their own while Elsa is focused on ice and snow there are two other ways the other three princess powers could go Elsa could possess one of four seasonal powers or her ice powers could be elemental giving her the power of water while the others have wind fire and earth but why for how does this make sense and what clues does the preview give us well the first clue comes in a shot with Anna during the teaser as Anna looks out over the balcony of their castle a group of floating crystals appear in the sky the crystals have four different symbols on them and are also featured in the official frozen two poster the symbols are different from each other and the number four is key here as ahna looked out over the balcony her hair in a braided style more akin to ER look in the first film this indicates the scene takes place early on could the two sisters have been contacted by another princess with powers and hope to seek them out for answers considering the winter theme of the first movie and the autumn theme on this one the four seasons of powers makes a lot of sense these powers could even be interwoven or loosely connected with the elemental powers for example a princess with earth powers may be connected with spring regrowth and the generation of trees or plants the autumn princess could harness the power of the wind that would leave a princess with the season of summer and fire powers as they harness the heat of the Sun all of these princesses would be connected through these powers but who exactly are they while Disney could convincingly introduce us to three new princesses one of these characters with powers may have been in front of us the whole time we're talking about onam in frozen and all of its short films we've never seen an inkling of power from her but frozen to could explore her discovery of wind powers associated with the autumn season and major change I'm sorry I'm confused maybe the discovery of her powers coincides with the floating crystals there's also a moment in the trailer where honest seeks out a hidden cave amongst the mountains the clip gives us no clues as to what's inside the cave but we have to imagine it has something to do with the discovery of her powers understanding where they come from or figuring out the origins of Elsa's powers as well so if anna has the powers of wind associated with autumn this would leave us with two princesses one who harnesses the power of fire and one who harnesses the power of earth the short trailer does showcase two new characters and one in the form of a girl so this could definitely be one of the princesses this young girl watches as some type of invisible force lifts up a young man the reaction and look on her face clearly makes it seem like she has no clue what's happening meaning some type of unseen character is actually the one harnessing the powers of air and wind to levitate the man several feet up into the sky so this could eliminate her from having the powers of the wind and assuming that Anna does the answer to this new characters powers may lie in the color of her hair if this multiple powers theory proves to be true then the answers may lie in the hair colors of our princesses Elsa has these stark white hair that represents her powers of ice and snow if Anna has autumn based wind powers her mix of strawberry blonde hair and a light white streak could represent the bold and rich colors of fall the white streak was put in her hair by Elsa but the change in colour could have also activated on his own powers from within and now back to the mystery character with dark red hair the red color may represent the powers of fire in the season of summer she does appear in the trailer just moments after we see Elsa trying to blast away some flames her and Olaf are surrounded by if all of this falls into place then only one power remains spring our earth and the ability to manipulate nature as more characters get announced we may get more information on a possible new princess and if the four powers thing actually rings true but what if Disney is throwing another swerve at us instead of introducing us to two or three new princesses one of them will actually be a prince instead check this out for a moment the original frozen subverted our expectations in all of the best ways what if the sequel did the same thing as Elsa goes on a journey to discover the other princesses a huge twist may involve one of them being a prince this is where sterling Kay brown comes in the famed actor known for this is us and black panther has a voice role in frozen - but very little has been revealed about his character what if he was the fourth person a prince with some powers of his own it would certainly make an interesting turn of events and could lead to some great encounters with other characters and just like Elsa's powers were misunderstood in the first frozen one of these characters may abuse their powers feel isolated and act as a misunderstood villain for the sequel how great would it be to see Elsa use her ice powers against someone controlling the earth just by looking back at that short clip of Elsa shooting ice at the fire some type of battle like this seems to be the case and Elsa's own control over her powers seems to have expanded in frozen she was able to whip up a pretty impressive ice castle and her control only seems to have improved especially the way she easily steps over water as it freezes beneath her feet Elsa being just one of four people with powers makes especially with the arrival of the crystals while all of these powers are vastly different they are all clearly connected to each other anyway these crystals clearly come as some type of message or calling to Elsa the journey will take the characters out of arendelle and follow connections to other characters with powers and that makes a lot of sense the film itself will reveal whether one of the other characters is reaching out to Elsa whether the calling came naturally or if there is some type of evil force looking to control the four people with these powers and Disney is extremely smart for doing this much like x-men expanding with new mutants introducing other characters with powers gives Elsa external struggles to go up against and also gives her some people to relate to and find connections with not only are they setting up a pretty great sequel but they're also building a franchise well beyond Elsa's ice powers and signature parade frozen could go on with sequels of their own but don't be surprised to see blown burnt or planted in the future of course they probably have catch your names spinning the frozen franchise off with different characters is a smart way to go no matter how you feel about Olaf clearly his solo adventures could only go on for so long adding a couple of new heroines into the mix gives us a chance to explore their backstories the areas they're from and the various ways they discovered and used their powers with the Disney Plus platform taking off an animated frozen spin-off series is an ideal way to boost the animated Department and attract new viewers to the streaming platform while The Adventures of Anna and Elsa would likely be saved for the big screen it makes sense to focus a whole series on one of its side characters with new powers and just because Elsa is a princess does not necessarily mean the other characters with powers will have to be princesses as well the term is thrown around a lot in the world of Disney animation especially when you have a female heroine if Elsa meets any of these other heroes they may not be royalty at all and this is another great way the frozen writers could subvert our expectations we may need another queen or leader of a different area but they may not be the one with the powers it could be an ordinary citizen or possibly just a young redheaded girl who enjoys wandering in the woods you don't necessarily need to have royal roots to have these powers and seeing other leaders outside of arendelle take advantage of these people with powers could showcase a great battle between political power and inherited physical powers and above all the Disney animated format will be a great way to show these powers blend and clash together this is a musical after all who can forget the amazing let it go song sequence where Elsa takes full advantage of our ice powers seriously who can forget it that song has been playing on repeat since 2013 now Disney has a chance to up the ante with frozen to by featuring a magical musical number with all four characters showcasing their powers at the exact same time the visuals alone would be spectacular and we're pretty sure they'll have a great song to go along with it very little has been revealed so far and we could admittedly be completely wrong but we imagine that somewhere in the frozen universe there is someone else with powers and another movie trailer release will give us a better look at what frozen 2 has to offer and now it's
