Are HBO re-showing the old mini series they did or it's a new one/remastered (or something)?

Great series, but they really dropped the ball with the new HD effects. They had an opportunity to make the show timeless, but instead made the series worse. This clip is among the better in the series, at times the CGI models look like 2D renders animated on an old cell phone.

The subject matter is one when authenticity matters. I understand that they wouldn't have had the budget to do Gravity level effects, but surely they at least had the budget to actually get accurate looking CGI models? The budget to get someone to supervise or advise that knows something about the subject matter. Anything about the subject matter. There's an astonishing lack of attention to detail, as if no research or reference to actual photos or video was done. The effects were clearly done by people who have basically no knowledge and attention to detail. Who put no effort into being accurate. It's such a disrespect to the story to be so lazy. Such a disrespect to those that made the original series.

The Lunar Lander is one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable vehicles ever built. So when the proportions are incorrect, it just looks awful and wrong. https://imgur.com/tidXECC

This should not happen.

I'm not even talking about pedantic details. There was such a disregard for attention, they didn't even notice the lunar models legs are meant to get extended. How do you look at photos or videos of the vehicle you're animating and not notice a detail like this? Either they did and didn't care, or they paid very no attention.
