I have found my reasons now to keep my burdens left behind I did not know what it would bring now I'm capable of everything [Music] hey there dreamers so today is Wednesday May 29th and I'm finally getting my round to it and I'm going to cut this Barrel in half so that I can use it for a planter for my fruit bushes so figured I'd take you guys along still working on that to-do list it it's never ending you cross off three things and add 12 more so I'll time lapse this so you don't have to listen to me babber babber Babble I don't even know words anymore [Music] well now all I have to do is get soil that's in the shed but I have another project I want to do first so I'll take you guys along I got this idea from Mama V over at posum run Homestead so thank you Mama V hold on [Music] [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Music] [Music] and there you have it my motivation to move the run the spigots out here in the backyard this will be a swimming pool in the summertime and maybe a hot tub in the future if I can figure out the whole pump and Whirlpool thing and all that stuff but it sure would be nice to just jump in there full of water and get all the yuckies off at the end of the day and cool off so that's why I did it today because now I'm motivated to fill it and um in order to fill it I have to run a spigot out here so that's not going to be today I don't think maybe I'm motivated enough we'll see it's really hot right now so uh and then what I'm thinking is this half of the bed I mean the um thing why can't I make that into another uh vegetable garden bed so I think I'll hang on to that for a while put it somewhere where my dogs can't chew it up and uh but yeah I'm thinking why can't I put dirt in there and plant strawberries or radishes or or something in it drains put some drain holes like I did in the other one but the problem with that is buying the dirt to put in it and that stuff's expensive so yeah we'll see but I will hang on to but I'm sure I can use it for something let's go move it over here so the puppies won't get [Applause] it and I guess I have some more metal for the metal guy to come get move this out of here it's not needed over here anymore [Applause] okay I don't know if I'm going to get into anything else today cuz like I said it's really hot it's already like 1:00 uh but if I do I'll turn the camera on and take you guys along with me good morning dreamers so today is Thursday and yesterday I started to create my outdoor pool and I now motivated to get a water line in the backyard so that's what I'm going to do today so we're going to run I have a a PEC spigot oh I left that in the backyard but I have a PEC spigot that I'm going to install in the backyard so I'm going to put a shut off for it here that way I can shut it off in the winter time and uh yeah let's get started I still haven't built a door for this but eventually I'll need to right so that's the water to the house ouch that'll be my main shut off for everything but I want a separate one for the outside so I'll do that after the main man I really need knee pads out here on this gravel oh I forgot crimping Rings I'll be back okay guys so dummy me I didn't have any 3/4 in crimp rings so of course I had to stop what I was doing and run to the hardware store and then got lunch and now I'm back at it so I don't know what you're going to be able to see under here cuz it's dark but maybe I'm going to put you guys on time lapse though [Music] [Music] [Music] he [Music] you know sometimes the things that are supposed to go the easiest just don't and once again it comes down to my hands and not being able to squeeze this tool and hold everything in place and and and yeah very frustrating I have three more to attach I just don't know if my hands can do it right now I have the water back onto the house but I don't know if my hands can do it they're like shaking and bruised right now just from putting on what was that 1 2 3 three four five six crimp Rings seven if you count the one I messed up it moved on me so I don't know I'm going to try and run the line to the other side of the house I got to go get that stuff and let's see if I can get it crimped on there I'm just feeling really discouraged right now cuz it's a dose of reality on how weak my hands actually are uh and it's frustrating cuz peex pipe and this is like the easiest stuff to do if you have hands that work so I'm really frustrated and discouraged right now cuz I should be able to do something this simple okay enough ranting I'm going to go get something cold to drink and cut the line that I'm going to need to attach it and go from the air so I'll be back okay um I got the PEX line cut but I'm not going to struggle by myself to try and get it underneath the house and over to the other side where I need it to go so I'm going to try calling a friend and see if she can come over and help give me hands cuz I'm just struggling with this today I am like so so over frustrated and hot and miserable and Crum cranky and discouraged so um I'm gonna go give her a call and see if she can't come help me it may not be today so uh we'll see I'll be back when I get to get working on it again okay guys it's official I have the best neighbors ever uh so Susie suzzy came to the rescue and what we did I had fed the water line underneath the house but it was just curling up in the middle underneath the house and of course not going anywhere near where I wanted it to and so with Susie's Hope we finally got it through and I got this in connected and Le chck uh but what I did here I know I'm supposed to have a manifold I don't so this is my main shut off here that shuts off everything this is the outside shut off so all my outside spigots will be uh run on this line so in the winter I could just come out and shut those off and then this is the shut off for the house so if I just want to come out and shut off the house only I can so we got that run we got it kind of where I want it over here after moving a bunch of stuff out of the way and you know cuz nothing can be easy this was supposed to be like a 1hour job and it's taken all day I'm over it anyhow so we were able to put a hole in the skirting there actually that's where I had a hole before and I just pulled the boards back off again so uh and that's a mishap with the paint from when we did the roof anyhow so uh I had to replace those scooting boards anyhow but we were able to grab the um the pipe here and then she fed it to me over there and I was able to hook it with my cane see so my cane still come in handy but I was able to hook it with the end of my cane and pull it the rest of the way through what a chore but now that it's back here running any other lines should be easy cuz I just uh the next line is just going to go it's going to tea off the spigot here and go that way 5T so anyhow I'm going to go ahead and put this spigot in let me go figure out what size bit I need and I'll be back [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] okay y'all so I got running water in the backyard none of it's leaking that's good I'm still going to have to weatherproof actually I don't really really have to weatherproof around that spigot because that's pressure treated wood under there so uh I think it'll be fine like that eventually I'll have an enclosed deck off here but who knows when that'll happen but what I did notice these little platforms that I put down years ago they were just meant to be temporary and uh they're starting to crack and fall apart cuz all those wet leaves has had sat on it so hopefully blocking it off like that will prevent the leaves from getting up under there and prevent any future yuck but this is going to need a good scrubbing and I have to wait until next month when I get paid this next month then I can order a pull filter you know pull pump filter and uh and the little chlorine tubs and and all the stuffs for it so uh until then it's I'm just going to focus on in the next day or so scrubbing it out I won't have you guys uh sit through that it'll be boring as all heck but um and then I have the pool noodles to go around the outside I'm hoping that the 99 cent ones that I bought will work if not I'll donate those to some kid and um I'll go back and buy the bigger beefier ones but I figured I'd rather spend $4 first before I spend $16 on it but what I'd like to do in the future is build around it and um encase it in that cedar that I have uh the leftover Cedar for my skirting that would be cool but that's a project way down the road I'd also like to have a heater for it so I could have it a hot tub in the winter time but again that's uh a long time down the road cuz I have tons of stuff in the house to do and then out here I'm noticing I got more stuff to do and I really need to get a a deck built but uh that's not going to be this year so anyhow um but yeah and then I have a shower chair that I'm going to set in there so I could just sit in it in the nice cool water and let me tell you if it was full right now I'd be sitting in it because I am so muddy and yucky and gross and there's a thousand mosquitoes out here and uh yeah yeah fun so what a day I I had this whole list of stuff that I was going to get done today and the thing that I thought was going to be the easiest I was going to knock off the list first and you know it never happens that way it's always there's always something so um thankfully when I went to the store to return to get the parts for the uh pecs I had a couple other items that I could return so I returned those at the same time and wind up getting $14 back so it didn't really cost me anything to do this pool it's uh money I spent two years ago I think so uh anyhow I think that's going to be it for this video um I'll give you guys an update on the pool or the you know hot tub in the future when I get that finished and set up I'll come back and show you what pool filter I used on uh how I finished it off but um like I said that's not going to be until June sometime because I got have money first everything costs money so I'm going to end this video here I'll go ahead and upload it to you guys so you don't have no more hourong videos and uh hopefully tomorrow I can get some more stuff knocked off my to-do list at least I got running water in the backyard so it's still let me show you keep trying to end the video and then coming back for more so now I'll have to tea off of what I just ran under there the red line I have to tea off of that and come through and back in here inside the shed we'll be putting uh the washing machine and so um I'll be hooking up water there and then it will tie into this pipe which is just sitting here for right now but it's the pipe that we buried underneath so I'll have another spigot on the back end of that shed over there and then um I'll have running water to the sink and the shop so but those are going to be later projects they're um I'll probably do the washing machine sooner than later Dilly I'll be doing the washing machine sooner than later so I can start washing my clothes here but uh too many other things on the to-do list for now so I'm going to go cross this one off and see what I can get into tomorrow see you on the next one thanks for watching not know what it would bring now I'm capable of everything [Music]
