FREE TV...No, Seriously

there's no caveat it's just the goodness of their they live stream your facial reaction as you watch every show for the rest of time that might actually happen I South Park so it kind of is no it's not that Black Mirror yeah so this is basically one billion percent supported by ads and they're doing it in a very creative way and creative I mean intrusive and awful the TV is like a regular I believe it's 55 inch and it's a 4K it's HDR but what it has is a secondary screen that's below the tv 100 of the times it shows at if my TV is not connected what are they gonna do about it charge you 500 for the television a little bit more context for this right now so this isn't a pilot program I believe there's only 500 maybe where that's not gonna happen is that what you're trying to say no it sounds like vapewear this is from the founder of Pluto Pluto TV is like a Roku TV it's like a free streaming platform it's all ad supported the free TV is you are literally selling your data not just in in seeing average watches everything you do not even that it's it goes way deeper than that so when you actually go to buy it you fill out like a hundred something question survey it sounds like if you've ever gone to the mall and they have like the free car thing we have like all the iPads around like a Corvette and they go hey we're giving away a Corvette just give us all the information you'll be answered to win yeah you read the fine print you realize it's an actual negatively a Corvette you're just a who just gave all your information for free and you actually went 100 yeah that long is that for how long do you have to actually keep it plugged in is this basically the business model here is that everyone who gets this free TV is not going to give you all the data and all the live stream access to their home or whatever but then they are also going to eventually have to pay you the 500 because they're gonna come in and rent a center you yeah data obviously has a wide range of values most of which are kind of shady because you can sell people's data but it's not really found upon blah blah but like 500 is that's a lot of value in data that's tough to justify if they're taking my data how come I haven't seen the check from Facebook from Instagram all right I want a paycheck this is my cousin Kyle listen here Jeff Zuckerberg all right I want a paycheck for my data that you've been selling ignoring the scam part of this which is which is the whole thing okay sure sure it's just weird on its own one thing they said like they try to they try to spin it and and have like a positive light of like what could they do with this that's Pro consumer and it was like tele rewards and if you watch enough tele rewards you can get like a Starbucks gift card it's literally 15 million merits it's running a custom OS which makes sense it's a gamble form it's teleos teleos is not compatible with Netflix it's not compatible with anything they send you a free like uh um Android TV with it no no yeah it's not built into the TV whatsoever my guess is that Netflix and and like Amazon they look to go oh hell no we like we don't want to connect our servers to your your sketchy ass TV so like it's it's such a weird device and because like it's easy to say it's like it's 4K HDR and like yeah but look at like 300 at Best Buy can I ask a question that should be very obvious is this a real product has anyone actually seen this thing in person it just launched it's not real as it's not real as a time of recording no everyone who puts your data in at Telly blah blah whatever.com you're giving it to them free for no reason you're not gonna get the car in the mall you're gonna end up punching a grandma on Black Friday anyway because you didn't get your TV I mean like I feel like I should get paid for punching a grandma would you hit your spouse for a million dollars yo I'm Wrecking you let me tell you why I'm really excited about this TV okay go ahead it has nothing to do with Kelly OS it has nothing to do with Telly at all because of scam and you didn't get a lot of views but no because it's a new form factor TVs for the past how like 10 years now have just been this what happens when like LG does something or like Samsung does something like this where that secondary screen be can can be actual functionality you know like oh like the NBA playoffs are going on right like right now so you we could have put multiple games down at the bottom nothing what that's functionality that's not a thing this is not a thing there's no part of this straight up skin I don't I don't think Kelly's gonna give us this functionality I'm saying but like the form factor of having a multi-screen that's what I'm excited for it's rare for me for all the nonsense we took to take a look at across all the channels right it's rare for me to see something so spectacularly stupid and dumb this is not a real thing no one's ever gonna get a TV or 15 people are gonna get it and then they're gonna immediately have Rent-A-Center man crawling through her window like I feel like the bird is gonna get it so that way they can write an article about it and then prove that it's a real thing it sounds like one of these pitches that like we would be in like I don't know GTA or something of like oh Lester's like ah we're gonna give him the free TVs and we're gonna spy in them and we're gonna blackmail them like that's the only way this thing makes sense we need some shake up in the TV Market no we don't this is not a great wonderful but this the form factor it's not though it's actually it's cool I think that I would buy the out of a TV that had two screens like that do what I do with like a Samsung TV and I just turn off the the Wi-Fi yeah and I just use what like so it can't whatever but you can't come at me with this neat idea after telling me about the literal most brain dead stupid idea I've ever heard you're focusing on the software side of it um there was videos about oh my God would you buy the TV on uh I'm recommending or have you already given uh Telly all of your information for free and you can expect Jeff Bezos to be creeping
