snow so America is really you know battling winter weather at the moment here in Ireland it's quite cold it's just hovering above freezing 30 mile an hour winds outside and I need some fuel for the house so you know I have some output for way to stuff like that to wait for you've got it and you know from site work so what I'm going to do now is I'm going to chop it up into bite-size lumps I feel in my stove inside now this particular saw miter saw is very cheap I'm just using it as a chop saw it's disposable I don't use my big tea walls for this and what we're going to do is just all the stuff that's on the floor Amanda chop it into bite-size lumps troll in the waiting bed and then bring some of it into Dale's and something special to was dis artist here we go [Music] so this is old sites crap okay it's got nails and screws and bits and pieces in it so what I do is I avoid the screws with the sauce so it's not manage to bleed but I don't try and take to know what the deal was like warn them then what a big magnet you know put a magnet in a plastic bag pull the bag over the magnet put the magnet in this College and go and collect all these nails and screws bits and pieces I then turn it upside down all the stuff in the bag take the magnet away then that's what I did so that's that's good I'm not trying it now I feel this we D been with you know off coats you know to pay for stuff like that chop them all into you know lumps this big ten inches or so so that they fit handy it's my boy thing so I'm left with some sawdust no I don't throw the sawdust and solace is very useful and you can actually add vegetable sawdust now you know I don't recommend you do this in your house but be very careful if you do so is a byproduct of chopping my two big Farsight off cuts I've got some sawdust so just as an example I'm going to show you what I'm gonna do with this okay so there's my sawdust and this is a elevate vegetable or it's brand-new oil but it's out of date so we're not using it and I'm just going to pour it out him into the sawdust a little bigger the user less fuel and what you're looking to do is to get it into the consistency of wet porridge not overly wet you know so that's after absorbing in there no problem I'm just putting in a bit closer maybe and show you that place to hoped you could see this alright so just pour in a bit more now if you put it too much vegetable it's gonna pour down for your grace so you don't want that you want it nice and dry but you know more than that now this is a consistency I want to you know when you pick it up a buncha together it kind of wants to stay together you know shame bit like sound you know if you were making sandcastles like that too wet and it's just slopes so you just want to when you squeeze it it kind of holds together and that's it not doing nothing amazing good so we're gonna do now is we're going to pull it in this container now normally when I'm mixing this stuff I don't do it like this you know again a battery drill or something like it like this you know I closed the book in a big book and then I mix it so again though the dollar well at the mom I don't have a lot of sawdust and I just thought I'd show you how we do it now you can see it on the small scale look and you just stop it in there and all we're doing is we're making a lot right so this is free heat this is free hot water this is free anything you want okay so just going to put all of that in there and this was born for quite a while you know you get in excess of half an arrow and you know if you've got a load of sawdust and you've got some waste oil as I say or two with Caroline as well mult wrote for the personally I would you know I wouldn't use it at night in my house so to recap I mix some hardness oldest with some vegetable oil and then I pushed it into a you know Karen there's a million-in-one ways you can kind of practice this stuff it does actually work if you put it straight in but I find it easier to hold you know if you've got a few of these kind of stacked they're easier to contain don't go all over your floor you know they're nice and tidy and neat and you could use them in the show okay so some of the stuff in here it's gonna get fart in my stove my way start burning stove I just take the middle piece out of it I'm use it this is shot waste we just burn so my plan is never to bring this book a tab of course you know what internet and is I'm gonna like my stove over those okay here we go so today you're in my house this is myself you know my regular burner if you like it's that one I made it's a Stanley Aaron enameled stove and I don't mess around with it I don't burn where he started however I did give it a try run during the summer and I did have this running on waste oil but um that was just a test that was proud of typing it was just proof of concept I mean look today I've got this in this tetra pack it's just a curtain you know and I've squashed in waste oil and solace mixed no you can see in the video how I did that but that's it look it doesn't want to pour it it wants to stay together it's not dripping waste oil and I'm kind of born that as if you were born a log now I thought some timber you know some wood off coats in the stove as it is I've got some newspapers and stuff on rows this is just a fire starter and literally I'm just gonna you know get it going now and okay so I just going to place that there now so why that's going I've been asked a few times about the roar you know I keep going on about this roar this stove does it as well if you've got enough suction on your chimney when all the air has to go through you know say in this case you won't hear it with the top door but if I close this door and open a smaller door now listen for you hear it I know we keep saying it it's the same principle you're getting a lot of volume compressed you know and there's my stove on to go now let's just stand the domestic stove the ones I build do the very same and it's because it's hooked up to a big flue you know as the Hungary rises up the flue it does that it causes the burning aggressively and that's all it is so if your flue is is airtight you know I'm the only way of air getting in is true so you like to this door at the bottom bunk that's it it'll do this now my corner designs require that you've got this sort of it pressure if you like of air going through them because what happens is it uses that force that air to mix the gases which pull and ignite and then more stuff comes in and it does this it's okay when this settles down a bit when it's not in the you know the mud-born in phase when we get some red embers in there I'm going to put this in and I'll show you that warning so this is a boiler stove it's surrounded by a water jacket as the water inside the jacket gets hot I have a Tara statically control pump and it pumps the water away and down through you know a central distribution area I've got underfloor heating here so this flora she gets hot as does all the floor downstairs floors in my house some of the floors upstairs get hot and then the rest of it the rest of the system is radiators domestic radiators wall-mounted and they radiate heat into tears and this little guy here can do all of the twenty-one kilowatts so this is my waste dialogue you know you can see what's in it it's just waste oil and sawdust I'm just gonna put it in there won't be any explosions or anything like that it'll just for an army and I close it up now and I'll show you you know the Boren one speaker is established so we control the air into this though if something was gonna run you know on control we just choke off the air that's the end of it so if I open this there's born of it what happens it as well is it tends to born from you so it's at a car portal born off it and the love were born from the outside in getting smaller it won't all born in window so words a bit like a council you know all of the counter was igniting I thought the board came at the barn down to noting and you know it's generating heat which is great and it's generating heater waste you know because it was just waste you know the flames begin to get more aggressive because they're getting plenty of oxygen and the air is being pulled through the embers you know it's just brightness demand is just born better than now because we control the air we'll just close that up give it air from the top so it's getting its air down there I'm just born like a normal load okay so I'll show you that in a few minutes so these flames down this end back from the waist oh no I could break it up so you can see what's going on that's Freya all right so there's the foil off it and what looks like there you go so what looks like wet porridge now wet oats okay that's getting all the air to the front but we're gonna control the air down slow it down a bit there you go burning really well at last probably half hours with
