FREE FORD SYNC 3 RADIO HACK!!! 👀💯

[Music] what is up you guys my name is shawna welcome back to another episode i don't know why i'm yelling but today i am going to show you guys a hack with my f-150 for the radio to make it look different which is actually pretty sweet i think this works in quite a few different ford vehicles i'm using my hand quite a lot but uh guess i'm a handsy person anyways i'm going to show you a hack that many people do to make their radio look different on their f-150 so check this out this is pretty cool i actually learned this from someone else and i wanted to share with every one of you guys that are watching right now and uh see if you want to change your screen up too all right the first thing that we are going to do is turn the key wherever the keys at into the on position into the arm position some of you uh oh music music some of you are going to have a push to start obviously but this will work in a lot of different ford vehicles i know it'll work in the f-150 the f-250 350 any super duty i think it'll work in the explorer and maybe even the expedition as well but turn it to arm okay the next thing we're gonna do is hold this button right here the right button on the steering on the steering wheel and then this one right here so i'm gonna set this down so i can do that i don't know if you guys can see it but what it's going to do is turn it into a test mode so you'll hold it down for a few seconds so now it's doing a test mode right now what we're going to do so we're going to go through the whole thing is end the test okay now that we have ended the test now we can go into the testing settings maybe okay so check this out see right here where it says theme and it says ford timeless so what you're going to want to do is click on this and there's going to be a whole list right the ford gt focus rs ford raptor the timeless ford shelby you can even do lincoln you can do all sorts of things so what i'm going to do i'm going to click on ford gt as you can obviously see it's already changed the look of the entire screen itself but look at this go to your audio check that out it looks a lot cleaner and a lot more updated the phone the nav i mean just everything about this just looks 10 times better and all we simply did is go into our testing settings to change that up but the cool part is the real cool part is you don't have to go and do that test every single time there is actually a way to get the testing settings on to your main settings on the sync screen and i'm going to show you how to do that real quick while we are at it with this screen i want to show you one more thing that i actually found out recently and i found it out from the dealer because my keys were not working the way they were supposed to be working and this is much different when you have a push to start but in your cup holder right here the cup holders right next to the shifter the front one right here everyone seems to think that's a hiding spot for whatever you know maybe you hide some weed in there maybe you hide something else but anyways that is not a hiding spot that spot right there is just in case your key battery dies and you still need to start your truck the only problem i foresee with this is uh i don't have push to start and that's only for push to start if i put my key in there i'm not quite sure how in the hell i'm gonna start my truck unless i have my second pair of keys which thankfully this truck did come with a second set of keys so i'd probably still be able to start it but i'm not quite sure what you do with that but that's just another hack with f-150 let's get back to the screen for the radio all right what you're going to want to do to get it to where the uh the testing screen comes up every single time in just your basic settings is obviously go through that same process we just did click on test settings and right here click on enable test settings okay so when you do that every single time you turn your vehicle on and off now the testing settings are going to be there but check this out when you turn it off and keep in mind here i'm in a 2018 ford f-150 xlt but watch this this is gonna say something different usually it'll just say the regular ford screen but check this out what we're in an f-150 that just said we were in a ford gt well that's pretty cool even though we're not in a ford gt it's just an awesome screen hack for your f-150 but watch this now so turn the car back on and it's still in the gt mode which is kind of weird but look at this since i enabled him see this in my settings testing settings so now it automatically brings it up so we can go ahead and change it again and i'm going to change it to ford raptor because uh you know at some point i would love to do a ford raptor conversion and you're not going to see much difference in the screen on this f-150 because the raptor is about the same but when you open your door well obviously you got to take a key out but watch this now well what what it's still showing the ford gt i'm not sure what's going on with that but let's see what happens now i just started it up so we're still in regular mode okay and i want you guys to remember that this is all temporary there is a way to permanently change the way your radio looks but this is not the way to do it you'd have to watch another tutorial on using ford's four scan yes i said four scan not foreskin therefore scan tool and then you can actually change quite a few things about your truck but i'm gonna go back into this one more time here settings scroll over testing settings ford raptor i'm going to click it one more time just to make sure so now i'm going to turn the car off i'm going to open the door and we're still saying 4gt well i'm not sure what's going on with that but that should be saying ford raptor but if you mess with this thing a few times it should change itself up and you can kind of scroll through the entire list of how to do it but it's going to have everything from the ford raptor to a lincoln town car to a uh what's the nice one the lincoln navigators and you're gonna change your screen completely and it's pretty sweet but
