I seem to recall Flintoff playing in an Ashes series in Australia - and not just playing, but captaining his team. And losing 5-0.
Not that badly. He averaged 27 with the bat and 33 with the ball in Australia in his career. Don't think he was good enough out here to change either of the results so far.
