[Music] this is the new Mini ITX case from fractal design it's called the Terra and it's a compact case that can comfortably accommodate up to an RTX 4090 GPU let's start by building a decent 1440p performer with a couple of different graphics cards to choose from that are both similar in price and performance so we have here the AMD 6950 XT reference card as well as the Nvidia RTX 4070 Founders Edition however the First theme that I wanted to present to you today was an efficient and clean build that continues the flow of this case something that shows that has great thermal performance and doesn't draw too much power in this case the 4070 is a clear winner with 135 Watts Less in TDP and runs much cooler than the AMD reference card I also think that the satin finish of the founders card Blends in well with the silver finish the fractal case continuing on with the theme of efficiency and finding a good CPU to pair with the RTX 4070 we have several different options to choose from first we have the wicked fast 7800 X 3D then we have the 7600x and finally the 7600 non-x however in the end the 7600 nonex was a clear winner with lower thermals lower TDP and a slightly lower overall cost over its X variant now if it's your first time building a small four-factor PC or your first time building a PC in general this is probably one of the easiest cases to work with the side panels swing open and are easy to remove and the top panel just slides right off for cooling I went with the thermal right exp90-47 full Copper however I swapped the fan out for a black one because the color was just too jarring for Ram I went with a 32 gig 6000 cl30 kit which has been highly recommended for the am5 platform for power I went with the Corsair ss750 the 4070 fits perfectly in this case with plenty of room to spare but since there is so much room to spare it let's find out exactly how much this case can actually fit so the 7600 has been replaced by the 7800 X 3D and it also upgraded the heatsink to the ID cooling is-55 one of the best small form factor heatsinks on the market because it is a quite a beefy small form factor cooler you're going to need to get a ramp kit that's shorter than 34 millimeters the 4070 has been replaced with the 4090 Founders Edition and I totally forgot to record that portion but trust me when I say this thing is maxed out both the GPU and the CPU Cooler have just enough clearance to close the side panels without any cables pressing against them you're definitely going to need some custom cables to get the job done I'm using custom cables that were actually meant for a Dan C4 sfx so they're slightly a bit too long however it's enough to clear the bottom mounted exhaust case fan ly let's see how this thing fits inside a peak design 20 liter camera backpack as you can see the 4090 is pressed right up against that side panel there so zipping it up around the corners is a slight struggle but in the end it fits nice and snug and it's ready to travel around the world with you as a carry-on whether you're aiming for 1440p performance or make light work with 4K the Terra is a case that handles it all beautifully and elegantly it's a very mature design that can sit on any desk or any counter fractal design knocked out the part with this one thank you so much for watching please subscribe and I'll post another build video next week bye [Music]
