Forza Horizon 5 - How to RESTART and Save Data SWAP - Tutorial

today i'm going to show you guys how to restart on forza horizon 5 and also how to do a save data swap so the first thing you want to do is open up for the horizon 5. the first time you load the game you're gonna get the welcome to xbox sign in to link your steam account with your xbox account this is the new game startup page after this you can choose your character's name [Music] [Applause] this is my save one data and i picked the supra i'm showing you this for demonstration purposes to show you that if you have a save data that you want to replace i'm going to help you do that next if you fill in any steps you're going to get the continued screen and this is not what we want for new game the first thing we want to do is open up steam right click and copy page url and then use the url and paste and go in the search link get this number that's highlighted open up your local disk or find your steam location folder go to programs files x86 go into the steam folder go into the user data folder and right click whatever folders in here and enter the game numbers folder go back to the browser if you need the reference number it might change in the future enter the game numbers folder you can delete this or else move it to a different folder i moved it to this save one folder down there for save data swapping later on an empty game folder means that there's no save data so we can restart the game the next step is to disconnect from the internet and you can look at the bottom right and the globe has no signal so that means that we're not connected open up forza horizon 5 you're going to get a warning from steam saying that you can't sync to the steam cloud because you're offline this might take a few minutes because the game is trying to register but it doesn't have internet to connect with if you deleted the correct things you'll get the new game startup menu and you can pick your name again and this is all offline [Music] this is my save to data that i'm using to demonstrate i picked the corvette this time after you do your license plate offline it's going to take a longer time it says verification error your license plate will not be visible to other players in online play because we're offline so quit the game if you want to do a swap copy and paste this into a different folder if you don't just leave it there and these are the new game files this time we're going to connect to the internet after you're done connecting it should say internet access on the bottom right and you should see the signals so press play after that this time there's two options one on the steam cloud and one on your local disk drive so upload the local files to the steam cloud in order to have a new save or else uh save data swap if you succeeded you should see your car's information on the new profile in the loading screen so that's it for making a new game now we're going to exit to the desktop and do a save data swap now we're going to do a save data swap i'm going to open up my save one copy this and paste it inside the steam game folder and replace everything in here and then that's it just press play and load and right here you will see that i have my first profile from before with my supra and then that's basically it it's currently 9 54 p.m right now i started this project around 1 30 p.m and it's been around eight hours and something just to make a four minute and six second video i believe this is the first forza horizon 5 how to restart video and how to save data swap so if this video helped you in any way please leave a like and subscribe thank you peace
