think Evo make my favorite car vids now.. feels like a clip from old-top gear. I think I also just like an English person talking at me about cars..
pretty obvious that the Porsche 911 GT2 RS would come out on top in this very uneven field. It's an incredible machine, the way they're able to put the power down so consistently and in a manageble fashion is just an achievement in itself. There has to be some proper engineering magic in this car.
However, it's an unattainable dream car. You won't ever be able to own one, production is/was very limited and sold out already, and most units will sit in the garage as a financial investment.
The AMG was a nice ride
Probably not surprising coming from an S2000 owner, but I'm drooling over the Lotus...as I always am after these kinds of videos.
Yeah, the other 3 cars are lusty and proper poster cars, but should my PowerBall dreams ever hit, I think I'd point myself toward the simple pleasure of a lightweight, nimble, manageable (MANUAL) track toy instead of the other bruisers it was up against.
Great vid.
They open up with Angelsey being the best track in the UK for comparing βcars like theseβ and then say it was too tight and not βfast enoughβ for ford GTβs aero to work. So which one is it?
The original Ford GT got beat around a track by cars half it's price and so did the new one, whack.
I wish more competition reviews put the cars on the same tires like this.
I think it's important to note and praise that they did a comparison review where the same tires are used in all the vehicles. A small but important detail.
I wasn't expecting Ford GT to be beaten by the Mercedes with 73hp less
