[Music] it's a beautiful day in Switzerland we're here at Pilatus and we're going to fly the pc24 to one of the most exotic destination in the Swiss [Music] elves I am am a passenger and I ride and I ride I ride through the city's backside I see the stars come out of the sky yet a briide in a hollow Sky you know it looks so good [Music] tonight I am the passenger I stay under glass I look through [Music] my all right welcome board maritz thanks for having on board the pc24 I'm so excited about this flight today we're going to be doing a VFR flight today out to the western part of the Swiss elves correct yes this is going to be exciting we're here at Pilatus and this the factory where they build these airplanes and what's really cool about this is coming up here we have two roads We Have To Cross Public roads to get to the runway so he's a clicked three times on a certain frequency and we're going to get some lights here to let us know when we're cleared to cross and the lights will also stop the uh the vehicle traffic it's a beautiful day in Switzerland cross that's the brake check light instruments I check it silent it's always been a bucket list of mine to fly a pc24 around Switzerland now we have green lights the first road is free this is the first road that's the first small Road and coming up here you're going to see the car is crossing uh we have to wait for our red light to go green so cross this uh Highway with the pc24 we got tractors coming got some people walking out here let's see what uh we still have a red light over here to the right you can see you see the track there it is green green light left side is clear and to the right is clear even though we're cleared across we don't want to get smashed into by a vehicle here okay we cross the road that's soupy there he is that's our buddy oh flight instruments check system summary windows we have flaps five the trim is set the batteries are almost loaded until we are at the holding point we will have U amps less than 50 fuel is okay balanced and this is the destination for the pressurization s IPS the ice protection system we have good weather condition and everything remains in automation mode we will not need this for today's flight so we'll be VFR today to the west and uh what's we're going to actually do some low level flying maybe a little bit and uh higher little bit higher cruising altit we go to the mountains look for good sceneries and then we will land on the short Airfield in the west of Switzerland it's called s nice take of briefing position speed is 88 Maj malfunction before I call stop B breaking rotate 90 enging failure after V1 I go to pitch n full power check ATR gear up we proceeds to the east climbing to 5,000 ft loc I leave the flaps five then we do the trouble shooting and come back with the configuration flaps SW 5 gear down or Landing into books p is 504 ready for lineup request via am into Romeo 39 up to flight 120 if possible line up 06 Ling upway 06 5 do you need Rome 3 n Al bra Charlie don't need the Romeo 39er just to enter and then we proceeding to West part okay got a glider there that's pretty cool yeah yeah we've been given clearance to line up and wait here on Runway apprach I'll tell you right now this is the best day I've ever seen here in swis not a cloud in the sky yeah calm winds as it should be I'm excited you have the weather cleared for takeoff and uh Crossing Romeo 39 is approved report leaving seway 06 Crossing z uh Romeo 3 ner is approved next one leaving City Pilatus 504 1 2,000 ft and cars no warnings so the thrust will move automatically to take of power all in the green wrong way is three and go wow man that does throw in your seat two good engines looking good spe Al 60 we one rotate nice I'm going to tell you right now that th throws you in your seat that's a positive climb get up you're the pr my goodness look at this guys I switch light level change the thrust will go automatically back to Max continuous thrust speed I have to accelerate to 130 knots then I clean up the aircraft sounds good the will be set to 170 130 and Laps up oh this thing is super smooth yeah I can't even feel the engines are here it's so calm you have the impression you have a double engine flame out yeah that's what it feels like it sounds like I start the initial turn I do quickly the clamp check gear is up your engag flaps is up thrust is MC DCS pressure is climbing aeter I leave the Q and lights leave all on that's pretty cool too it shows you the train and how high it is out here in front of you yes wow if you look out these windows guys look this is a Swiss Els I don't think it gets any better than this this is just unbelievable amazing I switch off the flight director oh and I turn look at that wow off right we go Direction TI Mountain sounds good this is just incredible this may be my favorite Jet flight so far that I've ever flown besides the Thunderbirds and an F16 but this is really nice for corporate private jet this is probably a defin wh if you wish you can have the aircraft my aircraft yes my controls your controls climb to fly climb to and which would you like uh keep the heading I gave you the heading back okay you can keep the heading perfect 2,000 ft got a climb rate of almost 4,000 ft a minute I do the radio call right pilus 54 outside C altim setting altimer setting 5 goodbye goodbye this is unbelievable this handle this is smooth that's 1,000 to go 1 1,000 climbed into 1 12,000 we're climbing up almost at 4,000 ft a minute so we'll start the level off here is we're at a pretty good climb rate there we go level not at 12,000 my goodness this thing the hand flying it is so smooth yes and the aircraft is very stable very stable yeah now you can turn to 2:00 one overhead next flying here yeah okay 12000 hold eltit to perfect just by hand flying it's really really like you said really stable airplane do you see the mountain with the black wall with the uh the ball with the black hole okay we fly straight there and then we do a 360 around it I tell you then when you can do the 360 okay it's a famous mountain a lot of Indian people go up there and sometimes they Mar they do the marriage oh do they really yeah Indian people have a marriage area for them I did just a propose to my girlfriend Juliet who's riding in the back today to see how she enjoyed the flight back there her on the top of M right over here by St amazing there you see uh a station oh yeah yeah I see the station right that that Peak right here yes okay perfect we fly around this peak okay so this is where all the Indians used to go to get married yeah interesting and you remember the name of this mom bit yeah and there's like a station on top of the mountain there you can go up by cableway oh can you really yeah and is that like a uh weather station or just a station for like tourism a station for tourism and also uh weather station installation clear to the right yes and we'll start a nice turn around the point here this is look at that that's the station right down there I bet you you need to dress warm cuz it's still a lot of snow up here in the top of these mountains you can do a sharp term around it okay trying to see if I can see some people down there I'm sure people down there right yeah wow look at that oh I see it's on the construction yeah look at that yeah unbelievable so all the Indians used to come up here to get married that is pretty cool they picked a good spot yeah I don't see the cable car running at all so I don't think there's anybody up here maybe it's too early that's it right down there I do the radio call with the Swiss Air Force Airbase Ming for a pass okaying a t the dark pil 54 pc24 TI 1 2,000 ft dire Al setting aling a tower say again your altitude 1 2000 ft 54 clear to cross at 1 2000 ft con 1 8 report complete clear to cross at 1 2000 ft K 1 08 pilus 504 now we are CLE uni report maximum altitude of mission that is by far the most beautiful turnaround a point I've ever done my entire Aviation career okay great uh you can turn we're going to continue on a uh go at 15° to the right 13 right yeah boys so right up here in front of us the these peaks look pretty high these are the bernes Alps oh wow the bernes Alps yes now we turn to the mountains okay we'll turn over to the mountains focal on frequency change approved byebye by I prepare all already the frequency for the landing 11 Niner 43 this airport is pretty unique that we're going into as in our briefing you were showing me it's in a valley so this is going to be pretty exciting to see how this the procedures for you to get in there to land yeah it's pretty cool with a little wheel down there a little mouse you can scroll around to everything on your display yes I perfect I can't believe we're flying towards these things it looks amazing I've never done anything like this in my entire never Aviation career ever something like this this is UN this is bucket list for us it's Daily Business dailys no it's not Daily Business well you come over to Florida one day and I'll take you flying around the Bahamas okay this is going to be really amazing right here so now we have a little Gap there you see it at about 12 uh 1 and a half o00 yep okay we go through this capap right right over there do that yeah okay I got it s yes if we see more and more terrain on the background we are sure that we are higher oh yeah we're going to get a lot of train we inhibit that or yes I inhibit we are vmc 54 of living oh my God Terin look at that guys that is insane that is amazing up I've never seen like that in my entire life R inhibit that was the most beautiful thing I think I've ever done in an airplane I'm basically going to go over to the left of this one here can uh cross this uh cross this then go over there to the left a little bit boy we might start an avalanche if we our after burners are too lot on this snow bank right here in front of us look at that off the left wing my goodness simply and on the left we have a glacier like oh wow that's a glacier right down here yeah but it's not the the biggest one the biggest one will pop up in a few minutes so right off your left wing guys if you look down there that's a glacier but we're going to get a bigger one here in a few minutes supposedly it's not even that bumpy for going through here yeah want me to continue straight no wow look at that you see this uh hole at 2:00 yes go there go over right over there look at this hopefully the front camera is going to catch us this is one of the bigger glaciers this is the biggest one it is called a glacier my goodness wow it's so smooth yeah actually it's like I have a traffic 700 ft tire at uh alos we have to watch out let keep an eye out for this guy yes you can go a little bit lower okay I'll dive down a little bit here just a little bit Yeah the, ft we have th000 ft differential altitude have, 1,000 ft and the traffic is at 2.5 miles looking I don't see him yet yep I got him in sight now right up here at 1:00 okay right up there yes I got it thank you we keep it inside look at this we're going to go right down through this little Gap right here keeping an eye on that traffic it's called the Len L Lin Gap right here wow this is magical traffic traffic I got him inside my control your controls well I go a little bit down see right here yes okay I got it let's see let's like a yeah it's a small aircraft single engine piston yep right there well significantly faster than him we'll go around him to pass him on his right good joying his flight I'm sure today too system works level off level off level off okay clear of conflict clear of conflict we had it inside and just do what the system tells you yeah now your control my controls so I show to the descend and approach check I hope you guys are enjoying this flight as much as I am I mean we're getting views of places probably no humans even been in in this world some of these Peaks so approach the sand check already completed Roger it's one of the quietest Jets I've ever flown in I mean at flight level 450 you can do 45° turns can you really and you will not lose any knot oh my goodness that's amazing check the position and then I will announce now you can turn around this mountain here okay clear the left left is clear I can sit up here all day and fly around these mountains this is just amazing yeah it's a paradise oh it is as I told you yesterday it's it's it's magical up here to see this firsts hand it's it's unbelievable so you see the white Glacier there yep we go there nothing better than this hand flying a pc24 around the Swiss elves so glad I'm able to make a video for everybody to see this what avionic package is this this is It's a honeyy well oh honey well apex apex okay nice if you look down you can see small villages like off our right wing down there a little small village that's what's so cool about Switzerland is you got these massive big elps and then you got little Villages all over that just amazing to drive through and expl pil 5504 PC 24 how do you read pil 54 I position tro 11,500 ft for landing request wi 504 for the moment we don't have wind so Runway 260 news okay I will do an up wind downwind for Runway 26 belil 54 now you can slowly descent okay we'll start of slow bfr descent here yeah I take the speed brakes okay you look out the wing out there you'll see the speed bricks come up that's going to help slow us up doesn't even give much of a rumble at all in this airplane when you deploy them yeah because we are already slow that's true okay now you have to turn this direction yes you can go down to 5,000 5,000 yeah clear to the right look at the all the houses right down below usus 54 copy 5504 go ahead 54 for our information do you require fuel on ground negative airport is around this corner okay oh yeah in the briefing now I see where it's going to be running this direction I go to FMS speed now you can lift a little bit the nose then I said flaps five okay off okay speed is checked I go to flaps 15 selected the speed goes back to 5 Z going down to 5,000 ft you have the runway sight down there uh the always down there perfect first we go to up winds then downwinds then base turn okay it is also a former military Air Base they used to fly here with the vampires we go to the uppr just can see the way now I see it okay right off our left wing there yeah it was under the nose so I couldn't see it before great view of it wow oh my gosh that's where we're going to there's a pc12 on ground is there wow yeah on every airport there should be Pilatus aircraft on ground somewhere here and in Flight look at that that's where we're going to be landing guys unbelievable this is amazing you can keep uh Wings level we're almost 1,000 to go for 5,000 ft y laps at five set and to speed brakes we do not need anymore these people that live up here in the hillside yeah probably like wow jet just flew by our house that off the right wing R nobody's home uh looks good this is amazing now you can turn the 180 to the left 180 to the left clear to the left this is a pretty technical approach yep you want me to level out at 5,000 yes level off at 5,000 Roger 200 ft to go now we join the downwind there's 5,000 ft leveling off going to join a right down one uh you go to the right side of the runway left down one leftt out and just there we go 5,000 ft just trying to keep an eye on the runway yeah ran under the nose on my side got it sight though there we go start turn a little bit e it to the left okay after after this Woody area I will take over the Roger hello the gear here select it down and my controls your controls we're just going to be one last turn to the left and that'll line us right up for 2 six and you're going to demonstrate how fast this thing can stop correct yes as this is basically like a I will not do a soft Landing I will do a Carrier Landing and full Breaking sounds good looks like a ski hill right here yeah wow look at that so gear down laps land air brakes in cpcs is checked and the Y emper is off I have to turn in and to descend otherwise we are too high yep marvelous H unbelievable y setting up for a left base here there we go basically on a left base now for only two seconds I keep straight still descending I switch off the ace thrust Roger a cattle Runway inside yep Runway inside 54 tur fin 26 for lot of farmers lot of people of cattle green Club 92 Papa this is s we have Runway 260 news for your information we have a pc24 on Final to left 26 all right they're announcing for us so let everybody know didn't go yet but good let's cete so you see how uh low you have to fly over the terrain yes because the terrain here is higher yeah this you have to be close otherwise you have a too steep angle go back with the speed because the PC 24 is a glider I have to be on speed so little bit back with the power good good angle looks good speed looks good display threshold uh and idle power and stck and full brakes nice not this K you feel yeah okay about 350 M what an amazing taxi Char and then follow the for parking taxi Charlie and following the bar for parking pil 54 hey we made it wow sa on ground that was one of the most amazing flights I've ever been on guys if you like that video
